1. Agenda for the workshop
Nov. 20th (Arrival)
Engagement at airport
Participants from Japan (CA160) and Korea (OZ335) will be picked up at the Gate of Beijing International Airport. Chinese staffs (Dr. Chengjun Ji and Miss. Jiangling Zhu) will be waiting for your arrival. Participants who will arrive at other flights will be picked up by other staffs.
It will take about one hour from the airport to the hotel.
Reception at hotel
All participants will stay at Global Village of Peking University, which is only 8 minutes away from the campus. Internet is available in your room and meals will have been arranged. Other costs such as telephone call and cloth washing should be paid yourself.
Chinese staffs (Dr. Yan Yang and Xueyang Hu) will be waiting for you at the hotel. They will help you to check in. Please hand in your poster to them after your arrival.
Welcome party at hotel
The welcome banquet will take place in the dining hall of your hotel at around 19:00 p.m.. Chinese students will be waiting for you at the lobby.
Nov. 21st (Workshop)
The workshop will start at 9:00 a.m., and last for the whole day. It will be held in Deng Youcai Lecture Hall, Life Science Building, Peking University. It is about 10 minutes from the hotel. Chinese staffs will be waiting for you at the lobby arround 8:20 a.m. and guild you to the meeting hall.
Registration
8:30-9:00 a.m., on the first floor of Life Science Building.
Oral presentation
Oral presentation will start at 9:00 a.m. Computer and other equipments will be ready. Speakers should set your PPT files before 9:00 a.m. Chinese students will help you for that. Please attention, each presentation has 15 minutes, including 13 mins for presentation and 2 mins for questions.
Poster presentation
In the Center Hall, which is on the first floor of Life Science Building, we will have poster presentations all through the workshop. Poster presenters should give your posters to receptional staffs on Nov. 20th (Fri.) and remove them at 17:00-17:30 on Nov. 22nd (Sun.).
Lunch and Dinner
Lunch will be prepared at a cafeteria on campus, Peking University. Dinner will be prepared at a traditional Beijing restaurant (Weiminglou restaurant).
Nov. 22nd (Workshop)
The oral presentation will continue in the morning and the poster presentation in the afternoon. It will be held at the same place.
Core time for poster presentation: 13:00-17:00, Nov. 22nd (Sun.)
Lunch and Dinner
Lunch will be prepared at a cafeteria on campus, Peking University. Dinner will be prepared at a typical campus restaurant (Yiyuan restaurant)
Nov. 23rd (City Tour)
Tour I: Great Wall
We leave for the Great Wall from the hotel at 9:00 a.m.. Participants of the trip are recommended to prepare light walking shoes for climbing the Great Wall. It takes nearly 1.5 hours from the hotel to the Great Wall.
Tour II: Forbidden City
We depart at 9:00 a.m. at the lobby of hotel for the Forbidden City. The transportation will take about 45 minutes.
Lunch and Dinner
We will have lunch during the tour and have dinner in a traditional North China restaurant (Zhili Hall- Food Museum).
Nov. 24th (Shopping & Departure)
Shopping
In the morning, we will go to the Silk Market near the CBD of Beijing that is famous for the traditional Chinese Products.
Departure
In the afternoon, Chinese staffs will take you, members from Korea or Japan, to the Beijing International Airport by bus.
