Argentina's government said on ​Friday it will allow local firms to ‌voluntarily blend up to 15% ethanol into gasoline, in a bid to curb the impact from higher ​oil prices on local fuel costs.

아르헨티나 정부는 금요일, 유가 상승이 아르헨티나 연료 가격에 미치는 영향을 완화하기 위해 기업들이 휘발유에 에탄올을 최대 15%까지 혼합할 수 있도록 허용할 것이라고 밝혔다.

"The ​measure aims to give the industry greater ⁠flexibility and to cushion any potential increases ​in pump fuel prices, protecting consumers," the Energy ​Secretariat said in a statement.

아르헨티나 에너지 사무국은 성명에서 "이 조치는 업계에 더 큰 유연성을 제공하고 잠재적인 주유소 연료 가격 인상에 대한 완충 역할을 하여 소비자를 보호하는 것을 목표로 한다"고 밝혔다.

Gasoline prices in the South American country rose more than 18% in March, ​according to analyst estimates, driven by the U.S.-Israel ​war on Iran and have climbed more than 60% year‑on‑year.
