본문에 “고핫 자손이 회막 안의 지성물에 대하여 할 일은 이러하니라. 진영이 전진할 때에 아론과 그의 아들들이 들어가서 칸 막는 휘장을 걷어 증거궤를 덮고, 그 위를 해달의 가죽으로 덮고 그 위에 순청색 보자기를 덮은 후에 채를 꿰고, 진설병의 상에 청색 보자기를 펴고 대접들과 숟가락들과 주발들과 붓는 잔들을 그 위에 두고 항상 진설하는 떡을 그 위에 두고, 홍색 보자기를 그 위에 펴고 그것을 해달의 가죽 덮개로 덮은 후에 채를 꿰고, 청색 보자기를 취하여 등잔대와 등잔들과 불 집게들과 불똥 그릇들과 모든 기름 그릇을 덮고, 등잔대와 모든 기구를 해달의 가죽 덮개 안에 넣어 메는 틀 위에 두고, 금제단 위에 청색 보자기를 펴고 해달의 가죽 덮개로 덮고 채를 꿰고, 성소에서 쓰는 모든 기구를 청색 보자기에 싸서 해달의 가죽 덮개로 덮어 메는 틀 위에 두고, 제단의 재를 버리고 제단 위에 자색 보자기를 펴고, 불 옮기는 그릇들과 고기 갈고리들과 부삽들과 대야들과 제단의 모든 기구를 두고 해달의 가죽 덮개를 그 위에 덮고 채를 꿸 것이며, 진영을 떠날 때에 아론과 그의 아들들이 성소와 성소의 모든 기구 덮는 일을 마치거든 고핫 자손들이 와서 멜 것이나 성물은 만지지 말라 그들이 죽으리라 회막 물건 중에서 이것들은 고핫 자손이 멜 것이며, 제사장 아론의 아들 엘르아살이 맡을 것은 등유와 태우는 향과 항상 드리는 소제물과 관유이며 장막 전체와 그 중에 있는 모든 것과 성소와 모든 기구니라(4:4-16)” 하셨듯, 하나님의 일을 아무나 하면 안되고, 하나님께서 지정하고 맡기는 일에만 순종하지 아니하면, 수레를 끌던 소들이 날뛰므로 언약궤가 떨어지지 않게 하려는 선한 의도로 언약궤를 붙잡았던 웃사가 하나님의 징계로 즉사한 것처럼(삼하6:3-7),  자신에게 맡겨진 범위를 넘어서면 아무리 선한 의도로 하는 일이라도, 하나님의 징계와 심판을 받는다는 뜻입니다.

For God teaches us to follow and obey only what He teaches, guides and entrusts, because of the truth of the gospel of Christ that acknowledges us with faith and allows redemption and salvation. Therefore, God teaches us everything in detailly, as “This is the work of the Kohathites in the Tent of Meeting: the care of the most holy things. When the camp is to move, Aaron and his sons are to go in and take down the shielding curtain and cover the ark of the testimony with it. Then they are to cover this with hides of sea cows, spread a cloth of solid blue over that and put the poles in place. Then the table of the Presence they are to spread a blue cloth and put on it the plates, dishes and bowls, and the jars for drink offerings; the bread that is continually there is to remain on it. Over these they are to spread a scarlet cloth, cover that with hides of sea cows and put its poles in place. They are to take a blue cloth and cover the lampstand that is for light, together with its jars for the oil used to supply it. Then they are to wrap it and all its accessories is a covering of hides of sea cows and put it on a carrying frame. Over the gold altar they are to spread a blue cloth and cover that with hides of sea cows and put its poles in place. They are to take all the articles used for ministering in the sanctuary, wrap them in a blue cloth, cover that with hides of sea cows and put them on a carrying frame. They are to remove the ashes from the bronze altar and spread a purple cloth over it. Then they are to place on it all the utensils used for ministering at the altar, including the firepans, meat forks, shovels and sprinkling bowls. Over it they are to spread a covering of hides of sea cows and put its poles in place. After Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy furnishings and all the holy articles, and when the camp is ready to move, the Kohathites are to come to do the carrying. But they must not touch the holy things or they will die. The Kohathites are to carry those things that are in the Tent of Meeting. Eleazar son of Aaron, the priest, is to have charge of the oil for the light, the fragrant incense, the regular grain offering and the anointing oil. He is to be in charge of the entire tabernacle and everything in it, including its holy furnishings and articles (4:4-16)” Because, if anyone, who do something beyond the scope that God has designated, he will surely be judged as a sin of rebellion to destruction by God, even though he has well-intentioned his devotion to Christ and the gospel. So, God teaches as that way of judgement in Christ through the episode of the struct down the Uzzah, who had good intentions to serve God, while carrying the Ark of God on a cart and and holding onto his hands the Ark to keep it from falling when the oxen were wild ran(2Samuel6:3-7).

그래서 “고핫 족속을 레위인 중에서 끊어지게 하지 말지니, 지성물에 접근할 때에 그들의 생명을 보존하고 죽지 않게 하기 위하여 아론과 아들들이 들어가서 각 사람에게 할 일과 멜 것을 지휘하게 할지니라. 그들은 잠시라도 들어가서 성소를 보지 말라 죽으리라(4:18-20)” 경고하셨고, “게르손 종족의 할 일과 멜 것은, 성막의 휘장들과 회막과 덮개와 그 위의 해달의 가죽 덮개와 회막 휘장 문을 메며, 뜰의 휘장과 성막과 제단 사방에 있는 뜰의 휘장 문과 줄들과 그것에 사용하는 모든 기구를 메며 맡아 처리할 것이라. 게르손 자손은 멜 것과 처리할 것을 아론과 아들들의 명령대로 할 것이니 멜 짐을 그들에게 맡길 것이니라. 게르손 자손의 종족들이 회막에서 할 일은 제사장 아론의 아들 이다말이 감독할지니라. 므라리 자손도 조상의 가문에 따라 계수하되, 삼십 세부터 오십 세까지 회막에서 복무하고 봉사할 모든 자를 계수하라. 그들이 회막에서 멜 것은 장막의 널판들과 띠들과 기둥들과 받침들과, 뜰 둘레의 기둥들과 받침들과 말뚝들과 줄들과 그것에 쓰는 모든 것이라 그들이 맡아 멜 모든 기구의 품목을 지정하라. 제사장 아론의 아들, 이다말의 수하에 있을 므라리 자손들이 회막에서 행할 일이니라(4:23-33)” 하셨듯, 각자가 맡을 일을 상세하게 가르치고 감독을 받으며 실수하지 말라 하셨습니다.

So, that the Lord God warning it to us through the Scripture of today, as “See that the Kohathite tribal clans are not cut off from the Levites. So that they may live and not die when they come near the most holy things, do this for them. Aaron and his sons are to go into the sanctuary and assign to each man his work and what he is to carry. But the Kohathites must not go in to look at the holy things, even for a moment, or they will die (4:18-20)” And God instructed each of them in detail about what to do and told them to work under supervision, as “Count all the men from thirty to fifty years of age who come to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting. This is the service of the Gerhonite clans as they work and carry burdens: They are to carry the curtains of the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, its covering and the outer covering of hides of sea cows, the curtains for the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, the curtains of the courtyard surrounding the tabernacle and altar, the curtain for the entrance, the ropes and all the equipment used in its service. The Gershonites are to do all that needs to be done with these things. All their service, whether carrying or doing other work, is to be done under the direction of Aaron and his sons. You shall assign to them as their responsibility all they are to carry. This is the service of the Gersonite clans at the Tent of Meeting. Their duties are to be under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron, the priest. Count all the men from thirty to fifty years of age who come to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting. This is their duty as they perform service at the Tent of Meeting: to carry the frames of the tabernacle, its crossbars, posts and bases, as well as the posts of the surrounding courtyard with their equipment and everything related to their use. Assign to each man the specific things he is to carry. This is the service of the Merarite clans as they work at the Tent of Meeting under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron, the Priest (4:23-33)”

그래서 “모세와 아론과 회중의 지도자들이 고핫 자손들을 조상의 가문에 따라 계수하니, 삼십 세부터 오십 세까지 회막에서 복무하고 봉사할, 자가 이천칠백오십 명이니, 모세와 아론이 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 회막에서 종사하는 고핫인의 모든 종족 중 계수된 자이니라. 게르손 자손 중 조상의 가문을 따라 계수된 자는, 삼십 세부터 오십 세까지 회막 봉사에 참여하여 일할 만한 모든. 자는 이천육백삼십 명이니, 모세와 아론이 여호와의 명령대로 회막에서 종사하는 게르손 자손의 종족 중 계수된 자니라. 므라리 자손 중 조상의 가문을 따라 계수된 자는, 삼십 세부터 오십 세까지 회막에서 복무하고 봉사할 모든. 자는 삼천이백 명이니, 모세와 아론이 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 므라리 자손들의 종족 중 계수된 자니라. 모세와 아론과 이스라엘 지휘관들이 레위인을 종족과 조상의 가문에 따라 다 계수하니, 삼십 세부터 오십 세까지 회막 봉사와 메는 일에 참여하여할 만한 모든, 자는 팔천오백팔십 명이라. 그들이 할 일과 짐을 메는 일을 따라 계수되었으되 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 계수되었더라(4:34-49)” 증거합니다.

That is why, the bible testimony it through the text of today, as “Moses, Aaron and the leaders of the community counted the Kohathites by their clans and families. All the men from thirty to fifty years of age who came to serve in the work in the Tent of Meeting, counted by clans, were 2,750. This was the total of all those in the Kohathite clans who served in the Tent of Meeting. Moses and Aaron counted them according to the Lord’s command through Moses. The Gershonites were counted by their clans and families. All the men from thirty to fifty years of age who came to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting, counted by their clans and families, were 2,630. This was the total of those in the Gershonite clans who served at the Tent of Meeting. Moses and Aaron counted them according to the Lord’s command. The Merarites were counted by their clans and families. All the men from thirty to fifty years of age who came to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting, counted by their clans, were 3,200. This was the total of those in the Merarite clans. Moses and Aaron counted them according to the Lord’s command through Moses. So, Moses, Aaron and the leaders of Israel counted all the Levites by their clans and families. All the men from thirty to fifty years of age who came to do the work of serving and carrying the Tent of Meeting, numbered 8,580. At the Lord’s command through Moses, each was assigned his work and told what to carry. Thus, they were counted, as the Lord commanded Moses (4:34-49)”

그런 하나님의 뜻을 모르고, “레위의 증손 고핫의 손자 이스할의 아들 고라와 르우벤 자손 엘리압의 아들 다단과 아비람과 벨렛의 아들 온이 당을 짓고, 이스라엘 자손 총회에서 택함을 받은 지휘관 이백오십 명과 함께 일어나서. 모세와 아론을 거슬러 이르되 너희가 분수에 지나도다 회중이 다 각각 거룩하고 여호와께서도 그들 중에 계시거늘 너희가 어찌하여 여호와의 총회 위에 스스로 높이느냐(16:1-3)” 하며 스스로 높아지려 했던 고라의 무리들이, “여호와께서 새 일을 행하사 땅이 입을 열어 이 사람들과 그들의 모든 소유물을 삼켜 산 채로 스올에 빠지게 하시면 이 사람들이 여호와를 멸시한 것인 줄을 너희가 알리라-땅이 입을 열어 그들과 그들의 집과 고라에게 속한 모든 사람과 재물을 삼키매, 그들과 모든 재물이 산 채로 스올에 빠지며 땅이 그 위에 덮이니 회중 가운데서 망하니라-여호와께로부터 불이 나와서 분향하는 이백오십 명을 불살랐더라(16:30-35)” 증거하듯, 편당을 이루어 더 크고 높고 중요한 일을 맡으려는 욕심에 속아, 하나님께서 세우신 지도자 모세와 제사장 아론에게 대들었다가 하나님을 거역한 죄로 모두다 멸망의 심판을 받았습니다.

Even though the group of Korah, who did not know as that providence of God were tried to exalt themselves, as “Korah son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and certain Reubenites-Dathan and Abiram, sons of Eliab, and On, son of Peleth-became insolent, and rose up against Moses. With them were 250 Israelite men, well-known community leaders who had been appointed members of the council. They came as a group to oppose Moses and Aaron and said to them, ‘You have gone too far. The whole community is holy, every one of them, and the Lord is with them. Why then do you set yourselves above the Lord’s assembly (16:1-3)” They opposed Moses and Aaron because they wanted to form a faction and take on greater, higher and more important tasks, and they were judged to be destroyed for their sin of rebelling against God, as “If the Lord brings about something totally new, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them, with everything that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the grave, then you will know that these men have treated the Lord with contempt. As soon as he finished saying all this, the ground under them split apart, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them, with their households and all Korah’s men and all their possessions. They went down alive into the grave, with everything they owned; the earth closed over them, and they perished and were gone from the community. At their cries, all the Israelites around them fled, shouting, The earth is going to swallow us too. And fire came out from the Lord and consumed the 250 men who were offering the incense (16:30-35)”

왜냐하면, 사람들은 제사장보다 대제사장이 높고, 대제사장 아론보다 민족의 지도자 모세가 더 높고 중요한 일을 한다고 생각하고, 레위인들이나 천부장이나 백부장들과 같이 시키는 대로 따라가며 돕는 일을 하찮게 생각하지만, 하나님 앞에서는 크고 작은 일이 없고, 높거나 낮음도 없으며 맡겨진 일에 순종하는 겸손한 믿음만 인정하시고 구원하시므로, 맡겨진 일에 충성하며 분수를 지키는 올바른 믿음 죽기까지 지키고 대속과 구원을 얻어야 합니다. 그처럼 올바른 믿음 되기를 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 축복하며 기도합니다. 아멘.

Because, people thoughts that the high priest was higher than the priests, and Moses the leader of the nation, was higher then Aaron the high priest, and those who followed and obeyed orders like the Levites, the commanders of thousands and the commanders of hundreds were considered low. But before God, there is no such thing as big or small, no one is high or low, and only humble faith that faithfully obeys the work that has been done is recognized and saved. Therefore, we all must be faithful to our assigned tasks, keep our place, be humble and upright in our faith until death, and obtain Christ’s atonement and salvation. Beloved brothers and sisters. Therefore, I hopefully pray, plead and bless for you to my God, you shall be as good and worthy faith in Christ Jesus all. Amen.
