Another successful Online Black Belt Test with our Germany Team! 🇩🇪⚔️
Today, I had the pleasure of conducting another online Black Belt Test with Li and Steph.
Li showed excellent focus throughout the test. I could feel her concentration and calm mindset, especially in the moments before cutting the bamboo. Her preparation was steady and confident.
Steph's newspaper cutting was also very impressive. It requires delicate control and precision, and seeing the paper cut so cleanly was a real pleasure, even through an online screen.
Overall, the video quality was excellent, and it was clear that both of them had prepared with great dedication.
Congratulations, Li and Steph, on your hard work and commitment.
A Black Belt is never the end of the journey—it is the beginning of a deeper one.
Keep training, keep growing, and always...
Today's examination reminded me once again that martial arts are not about age, but about the spirit of continuous practice.
Both candidates are experienced instructors with more than 30 years of martial arts experience, and both are women in their 60s.
Despite various musculoskeletal challenges that naturally come with age, they overcame those limitations through perseverance and sincere practice, achieving excellent results in today's Dan examination.
Cutting practice is never easy. It requires not only technique but also countless hours of patient repetition.
Steph successfully passed her cutting test today. However, from her next 2nd Dan examination, she will be required to perform live-blade bamboo cutting, which will demand much more dedicated practice.
Li also performed very well today. Looking ahead, her 4th Dan examination will include double-sword cutting, a considerably more demanding challenge that will require even greater commitment and preparation.
Although they are both over sixty years old, their passion, discipline, and love for martial arts continue to inspire everyone around them.
I sincerely respect their unwavering dedication.
I hope their example encourages many practitioners to realize that the journey of learning never ends, regardless of age.
The true black belt is not measured by age, but by the willingness to keep practicing. ⚔️🙏
