The Word at the Beginning, which is Life and Light,
and Darkness
Main reference: Jn 1:1-5
When God was creating the heavens and the earth, the earth was formless and empty, and darkness was over the surface of the deep. At this time, as the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters, He said “Let there be light.” With the existence of light, God called the light “day” and the darkness “night”. And there was evening, and there was morning – the first day. Before light existed, there was a formless earth and darkness was over the surface of the deep (there was a darkened heaven, Jer 4:23-28). And there was water.
According to the main reference, the one with the word is life and light, and the one without the word is formless and empty, and is darkness. This light is the light of life that shines in the darkness. God and Jesus are called light because God and Jesus themselves are the embodiment of the word. Breaking and forsaking the word of promise of God, who is light, is forsaking life and light and having become the darkness, which is night.
The light shined in the darkness, but the darkness couldn’t understand it because the dead have no senses. Therefore, Jesus said to let the dead (spirit) bury the dead (flesh) (Mt 8:22).
What Jesus came and testified at the first coming after receiving and eating the scroll in Ez 3 were the prophecies and the fulfilled realities of those prophecies. In the same way, at the time of the second coming, the promised pastor, New John, also receives and eats the book of the new covenant (Rv 10), and comes and testifies the prophecies and the fulfilment of those prophecies. Therefore, what the saints of the new covenant must know are the words of prophecy promised by God and Jesus and their fulfilled realities.
Looking at the 6,000 years of God’s history, Revelation is the greatest prophecy and the greatest knowledge out of the 66 books of the Bible. This prophecy was unknown in heaven or on earth (Rv 5). However, the saints of Shincheonji Church of Jesus know all the prophecies of this book of Revelation and their fulfilled realities (actual entities). Those who add to or subtract from this book of Revelation cannot enter the kingdom of heaven (ref. Rv 22:18-19). Revelation is an important book that distinguishes those who can enter the kingdom of heaven and those who cannot.
