올해 로스쿨(법학전문대학원) 합격생 10명 중 6명이 서울대·고려대·연세대, 일명 ‘SKY’대 출신인 것으로 나타났다. 특정 최상위권 대학 출신이 합격을 독식하는 현상이 이어지면서 로스쿨 당락에 ‘대학 간판’이 결정적인 영향을 미치는 것 아니냐는 지적이 나온다.

29일 종로학원이 2026학년도 22개 로스쿨 합격자 1856명의 출신 대학을 분석한 결과, 서울대·고려대·연세대 출신이 1090명으로 전체의 58.7%를 차지했다. 이는 지난해 같은 조사(55.4%, 1850명 중 1024명)보다 더 늘어난 수치다. 지난해에 이어 합격자 출신 대학을 공개하지 않은 3개 대학(경북대·동아대·영남대)은 집계에서 제외됐다.

대학별로는 서울대 출신이 429명(23.1%)으로 가장 많았다. 이어 고려대 374명(20.2%), 연세대 287명(15.5%) 순이었다. 이들 상위 3개 대학과 나머지 대학 간 격차는 컸다. 성균관대가 142명(7.7%), 이화여대 74명(4%), 경찰대 72명(3.9%), 한양대 67명(3.6%)이었다. 특히 경북대를 제외한 8개 지방 거점 국립대 출신 합격자는 총 72명으로 전체의 3.9%에 그쳤다.

자신이 졸업한 대학의 로스쿨로 진학하는 ‘자교 출신’ 비율도 서울권 대학에서 높게 나왔다. 서울대가 61.8%로 가장 높았고 고려대(44.4%), 경희대(35.4%), 연세대(33.3%), 성균관대(32.6%) 순이었다. 서울 지역 로스쿨 12곳의 자교 출신 합격 비율은 평균 33.1%에 달한 반면 경인권(5.5%), 그 외 지방 로스쿨(7.6%)은 한자릿수였다.

임성호 종로학원 대표는 “로스쿨 입학에서 정량 평가인 시험 성적보다 면접·서류 점수가 합격에 결정적 변수로 작용하면서 자교 출신 합격자 비율이 높게 나타나는 추세가 이어지고 있다”며 “앞으로 로스쿨을 목표로 하는 수험생이 대학 진학 시 학과보다 학교 브랜드를 선호하는 경향이 더 심해질 것”이라고 했다.

This year, 6 out of 10 law school (Law School) admittees were found to be graduates of Seoul National University, Korea University, and Yonsei University, collectively known as the "SKY" universities. The average rate for 12 Seoul-area law schools was 33.1%, while those in the Gyeongin region (5.5%) and other regional law schools (7.6%) remained in the single digits.

Lim Seong-ho, representative of Jongno Academy, stated, "As interview and document scores have become decisive factors in law school admissions rather than quantitative eval‎uations like exam scores, the trend of a high proportion of same-university admittees continues." He added, "In the future, applicants aiming for law school are likely to prioritize university brand over academic department when choosing a university."
