Since that time, the diocese has not had funds to make any repairs.</p><p><br></p><p>A recent grant from the government has given the diocese the opportunity to rebuild the French baroque-style buildings as a historical site and architectural attraction, slated for reopening for October.</p><p><br></p><p>A rumored 1949 suicide in the building led to tales of a haunting. However, the diocese denies knowledge of any suicides there, reported <em>The Beijinger</em>.</p><p><br></p></div><p><br></p></tr></td></table>
