Bible Reading - Proverbs 24:1~11

24:1 Do not envy wicked men, do not desire their company(교제);

악한 사람을 부러워하지 말고, 그들과 어울리기를 원하지 말라.

24:2 for their hearts plot violence, and their lips talk about making trouble.

그들의 마음은 폭력을 획책하고 그들의 입술은 혼란 일으키는 것을 말하기 때문이다.

24:3 By wisdom a house is built, 지혜로 집은 세워지고

and through understanding it is established; 명철을 통해 그것은 확립되며
24:4 through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.

지식을 통해 그 방은 드물고 아름다운 보물들로 채워진다.

24:5 A wise man has great power, and a man of knowledge increases strength;

지혜로운 사람은 큰 힘을 갖고, 지식이 있는 사람은 힘을 더한다.

24:6 for waging war(전쟁을 치르다) you need guidance(지침), and for victory many advisers.

전쟁을 치르려면 지침이 필요하고, 승리하려면 많은 조언자가 필요하다.

24:7 Wisdom is too high for a fool; in the assembly at the gate he has nothing to say.

지혜는 어리석은 자에게는 너무 높고, 그는 성문 앞에 모인 사람들 앞에서 할 말이 없다.

24:8 He who plots evil(악한 일을 꾸미는 자) will be known as a schemer.(모략가)

악한 일을 꾸미는 자는 모략가로 알려질 것이다.

24:9 The schemes of folly(어리석은 자) are sin, and men detest a mocker.

어리석은 자의 계략은 죄이며, 사람들은 비웃는 자를 싫어한다.

24:10 If you falter(비틀거리다. 주춤거리다) in times of trouble, how small is your strength!

당신이 어려운 때에 비틀거린다면, 당신의 힘이 얼마나 작은 것인가!

24:11 Rescue those being led away to death; 죽음으로 끌려가는 사람들을 구출하라.

hold back(붙잡아두어라) those staggering(비틀거리는,망설이는) toward slaughter.(도살)

도살을 향해 비틀거리는 자들을 붙잡아 두어라.
