(서버럭 수비는 코비가 필사마에게 경기전날 자청한 것) 코비의 결단력을 보여주는 거지. 그의 무릎 상태가 어떻든 간에 말야. 그가 가진 경쟁심을 보여준거야.

"We've talked about it and thought about it for five games now, so the fifth game we did it," Coach Phil Jackson said. "It was an idea that we better have this particular aspect right away, pronto, because Westbrook was overrunning our team."

사실 시리즈 시작전부터 우린 서버럭이를 코비가 막는 것에 대해 논의를 했었지. 드디어 5차전만에 실제로 실행에 옮겼지. 서버럭이 워낙 버닝하고 있어서 특별조치가 필요했던거야.

"I think that helps him out a little bit, that he can run hard, push himself through that," Jackson said. "He's not quite back into game condition yet, so he's still working into what he's capable of doing in short minutes."

(바이넘이 5-6분뛰면 교체해줬던 것) 그렇게 오래뛰지 않게 하면서 자주 교체해줬던게 도움이 됐을꺼야. 좀 더 전력을 다해 뛰게되거든. 아직 이넘이가 게임을 완벽히 소화할 수 있는 컨디션이 아니기 때문에 짧은 시간을 뛰는게 그의 능력을 보여주는데 더 좋을꺼야.

Instead of asking him to practice more, Jackson said, "We've asked Ron to limit his three-pointers from the corner; those haven't gone down.''

(5차전 시작전) 우리 코칭스텦들은 론더퀵에게 코너 3점을 자제하라고 얘기했어. 쏴도 안들어가니 말야.

But knowing Artest, Jackson added, "I know he'll probably take one.''

근데 그놈은 분명히 쏠꺼야.

"As we can see, home court holds a lot of sway in this series. We have to go with a certain sense of mentality, an armor about us that we have the ability to withstand whatever rushes they make, whatever adjustments they make," Jackson said.

시리즈를 봐서 알겠듯이, 홈팀이 경기를 지배해왔지. 우린 정신무장을 하고 6차전에 임해야해. 그래서 썬더애들이 어떻게 달려들든간에 거기에 저항해 맞서 싸워야겠지.

<잉여>

"Considering how inconsistently we've been playing, and the last game in Oklahoma, this was one of our better (games of the season)," said Bryant, who had 13 points and seven assists.

우리가 시즌내내 들쭉날쭉했었고, 지난 4차전에서 쳐발린걸 생각해보면, 이번경기는 확실히 좋아졌어.

"It's like conducting an orchestra," Bryant said. "You have guys that you can use and go to in certain situations."

(5차전 코비의 플레이) 오케스트라를 지휘한다는 느낌이랄까. 상황에 맞게 동료들을 활용하는 것 말야.

"Maybe it's just the rest," he said. "Four games in seven days might have been too much for our system."

5차전 대승은 어쩌면 휴식일 때문인걸지도 몰라. 7일간 4게임을 치루는건 우리팀 시스템상 좀 힘들거든.

"They were very active," Bryant said. "They were moving and running the floor. On top of them having the size, they also have speed and athletic ability, so it's important for them to use it and run the floor. We can get them a lot of easy ones that way. Obviously, the passing that they do with each other is exceptional."

우리 트윈타워는 아주 활발했어. 코트에서 종횡무진이었지. 키만 큰게 아니고 그 둘은 스피드와 운동능력이 있어. 그런 능력을 활용시키게 하는게 중요하지. 그렇게 함으로써 쉽게 득점할 수 있지. 그리고 그 둘이 서로 패스게임하는 것도 참 훌륭해.

"I enjoy a challenge, and he's been playing sensational," Bryant said. "If we're going to be eliminated, I don't want to go into the summer thinking I could have done something about it, so I accepted the challenge."

난 늘 도전하는걸 즐기자나. 그리고 서버럭이는 시리즈내내 아주 대단했고 말야. (내가 서버럭 수비하는걸 하지 않아서) 우리 팀이 시리즈에서 져버려서 오프시즌에 '아~ 그때 내가 수비할껄...'이라며 후회하고 싶지 않거든? 그래서 난 서버럭에 대해 도전하기로 결심한거지.

"He was probably surprised," Bryant said. "He's a big key to the team. He's the motor to their team, and I think of myself as being a great defender, so ..."

서버럭이는 아마 놀랐을꺼야. 그가 썬더 돌풍의 핵심이자나 시발점이자나. 난 나 스스로를 훌륭한 수비수라고 생각하기에..

"Just being a savvy old dog," said Bryant.

"If 10 corner threes is available, I'm going to take them," he said.

(필사마는 코너 3점 쏘지 말랬는데?) 코너에서의 3점을 쏠 기회가 10번 주어진다면, 난 다 쏠꺼야.

"Obviously, my defense is so unbelievable, I don't even care about offense right now," Artest said.

확실히 내 수비는 지금 믿을 수 없을만큼 최고야. 공격은 그닥 신경쓰지 않을 정도로 말야.

"We played extra hard," Gasol said through 25 points and 11 rebounds.

우린 조낸 빡세게 경기했어.

"They key for us to be able to move the ball, attack and penetrate," said Gasol, whose team shot 53.8 percent from the field and dished out 27 assists.

우리에게 오늘 경기의 키는 공을 돌리고, 공격하고, 돌파하는 거였지.

"We need more concentration, more effort, and we know that," Gasol said under freshly cut hair that mirrored his team's newly inspired performance.

우린 좀 더 집중하고 좀 더 노력하는 것이 필요해. 우린 그걸 알고 있지.

"I think we needed a game like this," Gasol said. "We wanted to make a statement and get used to this kind of rhythm, this kind of pace, this kind of aggressiveness."

우린 이런 경기를 원했어. 우리는 우리가 어떤팀인지 드러내길 원했고, 이런 리듬, 속도, 공격력에 익숙해지길 원했지.

"This is the way it's going to work to get another championship," Gasol said.

이런 식으로 하면 우리 또 우승할 수 있을꺼야.

"If we bring that same king of energy, we should be OK," Gasol said.

우리가 이런식의 에너지를 드러낸다면, 6차전 원정도 문제없을꺼야.

<어부옹>

"In the playoffs you have to have the ability to leave behind the good and the bad," Fisher said. "You cannot take into the next game what happened in the last game. It's a totally different game. If you win like we won tonight, there can't be an assumption we're going to do the same thing Friday."

플옵에서는 좋았던 점 나빴던 점들을 그냥 버리는 능력이 필요해. 지난 경기에 어땠는지를 굳이 들고올 필요가 없는거지. 왜냐면 오늘 경기는 또다른 경기가 될 것이거든. 우리가 이렇게 이겼다고 해서 6차전의 승리를 보장해주는 것이 아니라는 거지.

"There's too many variables and too many things that change, game-to-game," Fisher said. "Friday night's game won't be about a lack of sense of urgency, focus or concentration or any of those things. It'll be a matter of what happens in the game.

매경기마다 많은 것들이 바뀌지. 6차전도 위급한 상황이라는 것, 집중력과 포커스 등의 싸움이 아닐꺼야. 경기를 실제 하면어 어떤 일이 일어나느냐에 달린거지.

"We were aggressive from the start of the game," Bynum said. "And the crowd gave us a lot of energy."

우린 경기 초반부터 몰아붙였지. 관중들이 우리에게 많은 에너지를 불어넣어줬어.

"We have the tendency to think we're so good. but our backs were against the wall and we showed up," Bynum said of the Lakers' Game 5 performance. "I just think we have to take this energy and just start it from the beginning of games and we'll be all right. We won't have to wait until we're down by 15 or down by 10 to pick it up."

우린 우리 스스로 너무 잘한다고 생각하고 안주하는 경향이 있어. 그러다 2-2라는 상황이 되어버리자, 의지를 가지고 플레이하기 시작한거지. 우린 이런 의지력을 가지고 경기 시작할때부터 몰아붙이면 경기가 잘 풀릴거라고 생각한거야. 굳이 10~15점차 지고 있을때부터 정신차리고 열심히 할 필요는 없자나.

"We know what we needed to do," Bynum said. "We got embarrassed, and we wanted to show them that we're still the world champions. … We're supposed to do that. The message will be sent in Game 6. Close 'em out."

우린 우리에게 어떤 것이 필요했는지 알고 있어. 우린 굴욕을 당했었어. 그래서 우린 썬더애들에게 챔피언의 위엄을 보여주고 싶었어. 우린 그럴려고 했었지. 6차전에 대한 메시지도 전달될꺼야. 시리즈의 마지막 경기라는 메세지.

우린 그냥 발렸어. 모든 경기의 순간들에 말야.

"Kobe had an impact on the game  it doesn't show it on the stat sheet, but he set the tone defensively," Thunder Coach Scott Brooks said, referring to Bryant's 13 points and seven assists. "Him guarding Westbrook, that threw us off a little bit.''

코비는 경기의 중심이었어. 스탯상으론 잉여라고 볼 수 있겠지만, 그는 수비로 그의 존재감을 보여줬어.서버럭이가 마크당하면서 우린 흔들리고 말았어.
