“Do you think that I have come to bring peace on earth? I tell you, no, but division.

From now on there will be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three: father against son, and son against father, mother against daughter, and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law, and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.'

And he said to the crowds, When you see a cloud rising in the west, you immediately say, 'A shower is coming,' and it is so. When you see the south wind blowing, you say, 'It will be very hot,' and it is so.
You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky; but how is it that you do not interpret this present time? And why do you not judge for yourselves what is right?” (Luke 12:51-57)

Many people believe that God came to this world to bring peace. If we look at the times up to now, wars have been constantly occurring. In this life, if we wish for peace, we believe in God and think that He will want to bring peace to the world. That is why we like to say “Shalom” as a greeting. This is what people hope for. However, God’s thoughts are the exact opposite of human thoughts. We need to think about why that is.
You should carefully observe what is in your consciousness. Is there any reason why God should listen to what you want as servant? Then you should be God. You should live as you like. This is probably the way most people think. Even local church pastors cannot be an exception.

The world is constantly in conflict. When one conflict ends, another conflict arises in this modern age. In the midst of this, we cannot say that conflict does not arise for those who believe in God and go to church. According to today’s text, we experience conflict directly and indirectly. We want to hide this conflict in our families. However, other families’ problems are my family’s problems. Human life is not a special life. Through this, God wants to reveal His glory. He is waiting for all people who live away from God to find themselves and return to Him through these incidents. That is why conflicts start with my closest children and wife. Our family is doing well. If you say this, you have already misunderstood God’s words.
Spiritually speaking, the conflict is already happening inside me. When the word of God penetrates my body that is controlled by Satan, the conflict begins. If there is no problem with me, it is proof that there is no work of God in you. The apostle Paul experienced and confessed that there is a fight happening inside him every time. He said that he wanted to follow what is good, but sin led him.

Humans have the ability to discern weather changes. Today, we live a life of watching and preparing for tomorrow’s weather changes. This means that while we are sensitive to weather changes, we are dull about God’s world and cannot perceive His heart. Those who have ears when they hear this voice of rebuke must immediately find themselves and go. If you say that there is no conflict in me, you are on the wrong path, so you must go to the place of conflict. Jesus also constantly went through conflicts and learned about God. God wants to speak through certain events.
Human life is like a deaf person who cannot hear the voice of God. In the midst of this, they hear the voice of the world and eventually their ears are blocked. They read the words of the Bible, but they do not understand the heart of God and live by interpreting it according to their own desires based on the words of the world. People in this world live like reading the scriptures to a deaf ear.

You want peace and you want heaven, but you must realize that you are not moving toward those things, but rather in the opposite direction. The more you try to do something for your own salvation, the more you will be trapped in your own trap. Because you do not know what God really wants to give you. You are talking back and forth and driving an empty cart in this

내가 세상에 화평을 주려고 온 줄로 아느냐 내가 너희에게 이르노니 아니라 도리어 분쟁하게 하려 함이로라

이 후부터 한 집에 다섯 사람이 있어 분쟁하되 셋이 둘과, 둘이 셋과 하리니 아버지가 아들과, 아들이 아버지와, 어머니가 딸과, 딸이 어머니와, 시어머니가 며느리와, 며느리가 시어머니와 분쟁하리라 하시니라
또 무리에게 이르시되 너희가 구름이 서쪽에서 이는 것을 보면 곧 말하기를 소나기가 오리라 하나니 과연 그러하고 남풍이 부는 것을 보면 말하기를 심히 더우리라 하나니 과연 그러하니라
외식하는 자여 너희가 천지의 기상은 분간할 줄 알면서 어찌 이 시대는 분간하지 못하느냐 또 어찌하여 옳은 것을 스스로 판단하지 아니하느냐 (눅12:51-57)
많은 사람들은 하나님이 이 세상에 평화를 주시기 위해 오셨다고 믿습니다. 지금까지의 시대를 보면 전쟁이 끊임없이 일어났습니다. 이런 삶 가운데 평화를 소원하기에 하나님을 믿으면 세계의 평화를 주시고자 하시지 않겠느냐 는 것이 인간들의 생각입니다. 그래서 “살롬” 이런 인사를 하기를 좋아 합니다. 이것이 인간들의 희망사항인 것입니다. 그러나 하나님의 생각은 인간들의 생각과 정반대 입니다. 왜 그렇까요 생각해 보아야 합니다.
당신의 의식구조 속에 무엇이 들어 있는지를 잘 관찰해 보아야 합니다. 하나님이 당신의 종과 같이 당신이 원하는 그런 것들을 들어 주어야 할 이유가 있을까요? 그럼 당신이 하나님 하면 되겠네요. 당신은 자신이 좋을 데로 살아가세요. 이런 삶이 대부분의 인간들의 생각일 것입니다. 하물며 지역교회 목사라는 사람들도 예외가 될 수가 없습니다.
“내가 세상에 화평을 주려고 온 줄로 아느냐 내가 너희에게 이르노니 아니라 도리어 분쟁하게 하려 함이로라”
세상은 끊임없이 분쟁이 일어나고 있습니다. 하나가 끝나면 또 다른 하나의 분쟁이 일어나는 것이 이 현시대 입니다. 이 가운데 하나님을 믿는다고 하고 교회에 다니는 사람들에게는 분쟁이 일어나지 않는다고 말할 수 없습니다. 오늘 본문 말씀을 따라서 분쟁을 직간접적으로 경험하게 되어 있습니다. 우리는 이런 가정에 대한 분쟁을 감추고 싶습니다. 그러나 다른 가정의 문제들이 내 가정의 문제인 것입니다. 인간의 삶이란 어떤 특별한 삶이 없다는 것입니다. 이를 통하여 하나님은 자신의 영광을 드러내고자 하십니다. 하나님을 떠나 살고 있는 모든 인간들이 이런 사건들을 통하여 자신을 발견하고 하나님께로 돌아오기를 기다리고 계신다는 것입니다. 그래서 나의 가장 가까운 자식과 아내로 부터 분쟁의 불씨가 일어나게 된다는 것입니다. 우리 가정은 잘 살고 있는데요. 이렇게 말하면, 당신은 이미 하나님의 말씀을 잘못 이해하고 계신 것입니다.
영적으로 볼 때 분쟁은 이미 내 안에서 일어나고 있다는 것입니다. 사탄이 장악한 내 몸 속에 하나님의 말씀이 침투할 때 분쟁은 시작되는 것입니다. 내게 아무런 문제가 없다면 당신에게 하나님의 역사가 없다는 증거가 되는 것입니다. 매 번 내 속에서 싸움이 일어나는 것을 사도바울은 체험을 하며 고백을 하고 있습니다. 내가 선한 것을 따르고자 하고자 하지만 죄악이 나를 이끌어가는 것을 말입니다.
기상변화를 분간할 수 있는 능력이 인간들에게는 있습니다. 오늘은 내일의 기상을 변화를 주시하며 준비하는 삶을 살게 됩니다. 이렇게 기상변화에는 민감하면서 하나님의 세계에 대하여서는 둔하여 그의 마음을 알아 차리지 못한다는 것입니다. 이런 책망의 음성을 듣고 귀있는자는 바로 자신을 발견하여 가야 합니다. 내게 분쟁이 없다고 한다면 당신은 잘못된 길을 가고 있으니 분쟁의 장으로 나아가야 합니다. 예수님도 분쟁을 끊임없이 격으며 하나님을 배워나갔습니다. 어떤 사건을 통하여 하나님은 말씀하시고자 하십니다.
인간의 삶은 하나님의 음성을 듣지 못하는 귀먹어리와 같은 삶을 살아가게 됩니다. 그런 가운데 세상의 음성을 듣고 마침내 귀가 막혀 버렸습니다. 성경 말씀을 읽기는 읽지만 하나님의 마음을 알아 듣지 못하고 세상의 글로 차각을 하여 자신이 원하는 것으로 해석하여 살아가고 있습니다. 소귀에 경을 읽어주는 식의 삶이 바로 이 세상의 인간들입니다.
평화를 원하고 천국을 원하지만 당신은 그런 것들을 향하여 나아가지 못하고 반대쪽으로 가고 있다는 것을 알아 차려야 됩니다. 당신이 스스로 당신의 구원을 향해 무엇을 하고자 할수록 당신을 자신의 올무에 빠져 나오지 못할 것입니다. 하나님께서 주시고자 하는 진정한 것이 무엇인지를 모르기 때문입니다. 서로 동문서답을 하며 이 세상에 공수레를 몰고 있다는 것입니다.
