Bible Reading - Proverbs 24:12~23

24:12 If you say, "But we knew nothing about this,"

"하지만 우리는 이에 대해 아무것도 몰랐어요"라고 말한다면,

does not he who weighs the heart perceive(지각하다,이해하다) it?

마음을 저울질하시는 분이 그것을 모르시겠느냐?

Does not he who guards your life know it? 네 생명을 지키시는 이가 그것을 알지 못하겠느냐?

Will he not repay each person according to what he has done?

그(하나님)는 각 사람이 행한 대로 갚지 아니하시겠느냐?

24:13 Eat honey, my son, for it is good; honey from the comb(벌집) is sweet to your taste.

내 아들아, 꿀이 좋기 때문에 꿀을 먹으라. 벌집에서 따온 꿀은 네 입맛에 달다.

24:14 Know also that wisdom is sweet to your soul; 지혜가 너의 영혼에 달다는 것을 또한 알아라.

if you find it, there is a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

만일 네가 그것을 발견한다면, 너를 위한 미래의 소망이 있으며 너의 소망은 끊어지지 않을 것이다.

24:15 Do not lie in wait like an outlaw(불법자) against a righteous man's house,

의인의 집을 노리는 도적같이 숨어 있지 말라

do not raid(습격하다) his dwelling place; 그가 거주하는 장소에 습격하지 말라.

24:16 for though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again, 

비록 의인은 일곱번 넘어져도 다시 일어난다.

but the wicked are brought down by calamity.그러나 악인은 재앙으로 인해 망한다. 

24:17 Do not gloat(흡족한 듯이 바라보다) when your enemy falls; 너의 대적이 넘어질 때 기뻐하지 마라.

when he stumbles,(넘어지다) do not let your heart rejoice, 그가 넘어질 때 너의 마음이 기뻐하지 않게하라.

24:18 or the LORD will see and disapprove(옳지 않다고 하다) and turn his wrath away from him.

그렇지 않으면 여호와께서 보시고 싫어하시어 분노를 그에게서 돌이키실 것이다.

24:19 Do not fret(초조해하다) because of evil men or be envious of the wicked,

악한 자들을 인하여 노발대발하지 말며 악한 자들을 부러워하지 말라

24:20 for the evil man has no future hope, and the lamp of the wicked will be snuffed out.(꺼지다)

악한 자에게는 장래의 소망이 없고, 악한 자의 등불은 꺼질 것이기 때문이다.

24:21 Fear the LORD and the king, my son, and do not join with the rebellious(반역하는 자들),

내 아들아, 여호와와 왕을 경외하고 반역하는 자들에게 합류하지 말라.

24:22 for those two will send sudden destruction upon them, and who knows what calamities they can bring?

저 둘(여호와와 왕)이 그들 위에 갑작스러운 파괴를 보낼 것이니 누가 그들이 무슨 재앙을 가져올지 알겠는가?

24:23 These also are sayings of the wise: 이것들도 역시 지혜로운 자들의 말씀이다.

To show partiality(편파성) in judging is not good: 판단할 때 편파성을 보이는 것은 좋지 않다.
