성경말씀: 잠언 1~4장

Scripture Reading: Proverbs 1~4

본문에서 “지혜와 훈계를 알려주며 말씀을 이해하고 통찰력을 얻으며, 훈계를 받아 지혜롭고, 공평하고, 정의롭고, 신중한 삶을 살며, 어리석은 자를 슬기롭게 하고 젊은이에게 지식을 주어 신중하게 하나니, 지혜로운 자는 듣고 더 지혜로워지고 명철한 자는 지략을 얻으리니, 잠언과 비유와 지혜로운 말에 숨겨진 수수께끼를 풀리라. 여호와를 경외하는 것이 지식의 근본이나 미련한 자는 지혜와 훈계를 멸시하느니라(1:2-7)” 하였듯, 성경 말씀은 창조주 하나님을 경외하며 신령한 지혜를 얻어 선하고 의로운 삶을 사는 하나님의 자녀가 되는 영생의 믿음으로 인도하는데 목적으로 기록하여 주셨습니다.

The Words of the Bible were written with the purpose of guiding us to the faith of eternal life, to fear God the Creator, to gain spiritual wisdom, and to become children of God who live good and righteous lives, as “For attaining wisdom and discipline; for understanding words of insight; for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair; for giving prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the young-let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance-for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline (1:2-7)”

그래서 “지혜가 길거리와 광장에서 소리를 높여 부르며, 성문 어귀와 성중 시끄러운 길목에서 부르짖어 외치기를, 어리석은 자들아 언제까지 지식을 미워하고 어리석은 조롱과 비웃음을 좋아하려느냐, 만일 너희가 나의 책망을 듣고 응답하였더라면 나의 영을 너희에게 쏟아부어 내 생각을 너희에게 알려주었으리라. 오직 내 말을 듣는 자는 안전하고 재앙이나 두려움 없이 평안히 살리라(1:20-23, 33)” 하였듯, 끊임없이 부르고 찾아와 가르치며 인도하십니다.

So, God constantly calls, seeks, teaches, and guidance us, as “Wisdom calls aloud in the street, she raises her voice in the public squares; at the head of the noisy streets she cries out, in the gateways of the city she makes her speech: How long will you, simple ones love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge? If you had responded to my rebuke, I would have poured out my heart to you and made my thoughts known to you (1:20-23, 33)”

그러므로 “내 아들아 네가 만일 나의 말을 받아들이고 나의 계명을 네게 간직하며, 지혜에 네 귀를 기울이고 명철을 네 마음에 두며, 통찰력과 이해력을 얻으려고 부르짖어 간구하며, 돈을 구하고 감추어진 보배를 찾는 것 같이 열심히 구하고 찾으면, 여호와 하나님을 깨닫아 알게 되고 경외하게 되리라. 여호와는 입으로 지식과 지혜와 명철을 주시며, 경건한 자에게 완전한 지혜를 주시고 행실이 결백한 자에게 방패가 되시며, 정의의 길을 보호하시고 신실한 자들을 보전하시므로, 네가 무엇이 옳고 정의롭고 공평하며 정직하고 선한 길들을 모두 깨닫으리라. 지혜가 네 마음에 들어가고 지식이 네 영혼을 즐겁게 하며, 통찰하는 총명이 너를 지켜 보호하며, 악한 자들과 거짓말쟁이들에게서 지혜가 너를 구원하리라(2:1-12)” 하였듯, 성경 말씀을 진심으로 사랑하며 마음에 새기고 임마누엘 하나님의 신령한 지혜를 따라 순종해야 구원을 얻는 믿음이 됩니다.

Therefore, we must truly love the Words of the Bible. Engrave them deeply in our hearts, learn from them, follow them, and obey them to obtain the divine wisdom of God Immanuel, as “My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds victory in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. Then you will understand what is right and just and fair-every good path. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse (2:1-12)”

그래서 “내 아들아 나의 법을 잊지 말고 나의 명령을 네 마음에 새기라. 그러면 그것이 네가 평안하게 번영하며 장수를 누리게 하리라. 사랑과 충성이 네게서 떠나지 않게 네 목에 걸고 마음판에 새기라. 그러면 네가 하나님과 사람 앞에서 은총과 명성을 얻으리라. 마음을 다하여 여호와를 신뢰하고 네 명철을 의지하지 말라. 범사에 그를 인정하라 네가 곧은 길로 나아가게 하시리라. 스스로 지혜롭게 여기지 말고 악을 멀리하며 여호와를 경외하라. 그러면 네가 새로운 건강과 활력을 얻으리라. 네 재물과 네 소산물의 첫 열매로 여호와를 공경하라. 그러면 네 창고가 가득차고 넘치며 새 포도주로 통이 넘치리라(3:1-10)” 가르치십니다.

So, God teaches us through the Bible, as “My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first-fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine (3:1-10)”

그러나 “하나님과 같이 되리라(창3:5)” 했던, 사탄의 유혹에 따라 수시로 제 마음대로 하는 어리석은 죄에 빠지므로, “내 아들아 여호와의 징계를 무시하지 말고 꾸지람에 분개하지 말라. 아비가 기뻐하는 아들에게 하는 것처럼 여호와께서도 사랑하시는 자를 징계 하시느니라. 지혜와 명철을 얻은 자는 복이 있느니라. 지혜를 얻는 것이 은을 얻는 것보다 낫고 정금보다 더 많은 수익을 주느니라. 지혜는 홍보석보다 귀하니 네가 사모하는 그 무엇으로도 비교할 수 없느니라. 지혜의 오른쪽에는 장수가 있고 왼쪽에는 부귀가 있으며, 지혜는 즐거움과 평강의 길로 인도하느니라. 지혜는 받아들이는 자에게 생명 나무라 지혜를 붙잡으면 복을 받느니라(3:11-18)” 하였듯, 끊임없이 꾸짖고 징계하며 올바른 믿음으로 인도하시는 은혜와 사랑을 베푸십니다.

But, everyone falls into foolish sins by following the temptations of Satan and doing whatever they want, as “You will be like God (Genesis3:5)” So, God constantly scold and disciplines us and leads us back to the way of right faith, as “My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline and do not resent his rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in. Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, for she is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of the life to those who embrace her; those who lay hold of her will be blessed (3:11-18)”

그러나 하나님께서 아무리 큰 은혜와 사랑을 베푸실지라도, 하나님께서 사람에게 자유의지에 주시며 “생육하고 번성하여 땅에 충만하라, 땅을 정복하라, 바다의 물고기와 하늘의 새와 땅에 움직이는 모든 생물을 다스리라(창1:28)” 하였듯, 말씀과 성령으로 가르치시는 신령한 지혜와 사랑으로 자라난 믿음으로 자신의 마음과 생각과 행위를 정복하고 다스려야 할 책임을 사람에게 주셨으므로, “내 아들아 건전한 판단력과 분별력을 지키고 잃어버리지 말라. 그러면 네 영혼에 생명력을 주고 존경받는 은혜를 주리라. 네 발길이 거침없는 편안한 길을 가고, 네가 누워도 두려움 없고 단 잠을 자게 되리라(3:21-24)” 하셨는데, 하나님께서 주시는 신령한 지혜로 배우고 깨닫는 진리를 따라 지키며 순종해야 임마누엘 하나님의 형통한 복을 받게 됩니다.

However, no matter how great and abundant the grace and love God bestows, He has made it so that we can have the right faith by conquering and governing our words, thoughts and actions with the faith that has grown through the divine wisdom and love taught by the Word and the Holy Spirit through the free will that God has given us, as “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over every living creature (Genesis1:28)” Therefore, we must keep and obey the truth that we have learned and realized according to the spiritual wisdom and Holy Spirit that God gives us, and this becomes the right faith that receives the grace and love of Immanuel God, as “My son, preserve sound judgement and discernment, do not let them out of your sight; they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble; when you lie down, not will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet (3:21-24)”

그래서 “아들들아 네 아비의 훈계를 듣고 관심을 기울여 총명을 얻으라. 내가 너희에게 주는 건전한 도리와 가르침을 저버리지 말라. 나도 아버지의 집에서 내 어머니의 어리고 연약한 외아들이었노라. 아버지께서 내게 가르치시기를 네 마음을 다하여 내 말을 붙잡고 내 명령을 지켜라 그러면 살리라. 내 말을 잊지 말고 떠나지도 말고 지혜와 총명을 얻으라. 지혜를 저버리지 아니하면 지혜가 너를 보호하고 지혜를 사랑하면 지혜가 너를 지켜주리라. 지혜가 제일이니 네가 가진 모든 것으로 지혜를 얻으라 그리하면 명철도 얻으리라. 지혜를 소중히 여기면 지혜가 너를 높이고 지혜를 사랑하면 너에게 영광을 주리라(4:1-8)” 하셨는데, 독생자 예수 그리스도께서 모든 일을 아버지 하나님의 이름으로 행하시며 십자가에 죽기까지 순종하신 믿음과 생명의 길을 따라 죽기까지 순종하는 믿음을 지켜야 부활의 영광을 얻습니다.

So, Jesus, who came to the world as the only begotten son of God, taught that we must do everything in the name of God the Father and follow the path of faith and life, obeying even to death on the cross, to obtain salvation, as “Listen, my sons, to a father’s instruction; pay attention and gain understanding. I give you sound learning, so do not forsake my teaching. When I was a boy in my father’s house, still tender, and an only child of my mother, he taught me and said, ‘Lay hold of my words with all your heart; keep my commands and you will live. Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or swerve from them. Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. Wisdom is supreme; therefore, get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. Esteem her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you (4:1-8)”

그래서 무엇이든지 다 하시는 전능하신 하나님이시면서도, “내 아들아 내 말을 가까이하여 잘 듣고 관심을 기울이라. 그것을 잊어버리지 말고 네 마음 속에 깊이 간직하라. 그 진리를 찾아내는 자에게 생명이 되고 온몸이 강건하게 되느니라. 그 무엇보다 네 마음을 지키라 네 생명의 근원이 마음임이라. 부정하거나 사악한 말을 네 입에서 나오지 않게 하라. 네 눈은 똑바로 앞을 보고 네 앞 길만 자세히 살피며, 네 발이 평탄하고 든든한 길을 가게 하라. 좌로나 우로나 치우치지 말고 네 발을 악에서 지키라(4:20-27)” 끊임없이 권고하셨는데, 자신의 지식과 지혜와 능력과 생각과 바램을 모두다 버리고 오직 하나님의 신령한 지혜로 얻은 복음의 진리에만 소망을 두고 죽기까지 순종해야만 얻게 되는 것이 그리스도의 대속과 구원이라 가르치는 것입니다. 여러분 모두 신령한 지혜에 따른 올바른 믿음으로 세상에서도 성공하고 구원과 영생 얻기를 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 축복하며 기도합니다. 아멘.

So, even though, God is the Almighty One, who does everything, He constantly advised and teaches us, as “My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body. Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil (4:20-27)” Therefore, we all must give up all our knowledge, wisdom, abilities, thoughts, and desires, and place our hope only in the truth of the gospel that we have obtained and realized through God’s divine wisdom, and obey until death, which is the redemption and salvation of Christ. Dear brothers and sisters, I pray and earnestly bless you all in the name of Jesus Christ, so that you may succeed in the worldly lives and obtain salvation and eternal life in Christ Jesus with the right faith according to divine wisdom. Amen.
