MORE THAN ENOUGH  차고 넘치는 Psalm 103:1-11   The Lord crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies.    —Psalm 103:4  많은 사람들을 집에 초대했을 때, 내가 준비한 식사가 손님 모두를 대접하기에 충분하지 않을 것 같아서 걱정이 되었습니다. 그러나 괜한 걱정이었습니다. 생각지도 않게 몇몇 친구들이 음식을 가져와 의외로 푸짐한 음식을 즐길 수가 있었습니다. 음식은 충분했고, 남은 것을 나누어 가져가기까지 했습니다. When I entertained a large group in my home, I feared that the menu I planned wouldn’t be enough to serve all the guests. I shouldn’t have worried though. Several friends unexpectedly brought additional items and all of us were able to enjoy the surprise surplus. We had more than enough and were able to share out of the abundance. 우리가 섬기는 하나님은 늘 변함없이 “넘치도록 베푸시는” 풍성한 하나님이십니다. 우리는 하나님이 그분의 자녀들을 사랑하시는 방법을 보며 하나님의 너그러운 성품을 알 수 있습니다. We serve a God of abundance who is consistently “more than enough.” We can see God’s generous nature in the way He loves His children. 시편 103편에서 다윗은 하나님 아버지가 우리에게 베풀어주시는 많은 혜택을 기록해놓고 있습니다. 4절에서는 하나님이 우리 생명을 파멸에서 속량하시고 인자와 긍휼로 관을 씌우신다고 말하고 있습니다. In Psalm 103, David lists the many benefits our Father bestows on us. Verse 4 says that He redeems our life from destruction and crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercies. 하나님은 “모든 신령한 복을 우리에게 복 주시되”, “구하거나 생각하는 모든 것에 더 넘치도록 능히 하실 이”(엡 1:3; 3:20)라고 바울사도는 우리에게 상기시켜주고 있습니다. The apostle Paul reminds us that God “has blessed us with every spiritual blessing” and “is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Eph. 1:3; 3:20). 하나님의 크신 사랑으로 인해 우리가 하나님의 자녀라 일컬음을 받았고(요일 3:1), 하나님의 은혜는 우리에게 “모든 것이 넉넉하여 모든 착한 일을 넘치게”(고후 9:8) 해주십니다. Because of His great love, we are called children of God (1 John 3:1), and His grace gives us “sufficiency in all things” that we “may have an abundance for every good work” (2 Cor. 9:8). 우리의 삶에 넘쳐흐르는 하나님의 사랑과 은혜가 우리로 하여금 다른 사람들과 함께 그것들을 나눌 수 있게 해줍니다. 능력과 공급의 하나님은 언제나 “차고 넘치는” 하나님이십니다   God’s love and grace, spilled over into our lives, enables us to share them with others.
