예수 그리스도께서 제자들에게 “너희는 이렇게 기도하라 하늘에 계신 우리 아버지여 이름이 거룩히 여김을 받으시오며, 나라가 임하시오며 뜻이 하늘에서 이루어진 것 같이 땅에서도 이루어지이다. 오늘 우리에게 일용할 양식을 주시옵고, 우리가 우리에게 죄 지은 자를 사하여 준 것 같이 우리 죄를 사하여 주시옵고, 우리를 시험에 들게 하지 마시옵고 다만 악에서 구하시옵소서 나라와 권세와 영광이 아버지께 영원히 있사옵나이다(6:9-13)” 가르치셨으므로, 예수 그리스도를 믿는 사람이라면 누구나 다 외우며, 개인이나 가정이나 구역 예배를 드릴 때 마침 기도로 항상 사용하지만, 주님께서 가르치신 기도는 일반적인 기도가 결코 아니고 그리스도 복음의 진리에 따른 믿음을 이루는 과정과 최종적인 대속과 구원과 부활에 이르는 이정표이므로, 그 의미를 올바로 알지 못하면 하나님의 이름을 망령되게 사용하는 잘못이 됩니다.

For every Christians are memorizes and uses the Lord’s prayer often, as “This is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, you will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one (6:9-13)” However, the Lord’s prayer is not an ordinary prayer at all, but is the order of faith according to the truth of the gospel of Christ and a milestone leading to final salvation and resurrection. Therefore, if you do not know, its meaning correctly, you will be making a mistake of using God’s name in vain.

그래서 기도문을 가르쳐 주시기 이전에 “너희는 기도할 때에 외식하는 자와 같이 하지 말라 그들은 사람에게 보이려고 회당과 큰 거리 어귀에 서서 기도하기를 좋아하느니라 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 그들은 자기 상을 이미 받았느니라. 너는 기도할 때에 네 골방에 들어가 문을 닫고 은밀한 중에 계신 네 아버지께 기도하라 은밀한 중에 보시는 네 아버지께서 갚으시리라. 기도할 때에 이방인과 같이 중언부언하지 말라 그들은 말을 많이 하여야 들으실 줄 생각하느니라. 그러므로 그들을 본받지 말라 구하기 전에 너희에게 있어야 할 것을 하나님 너희 아버지께서 아시느니라(6:5-8)” 가르치셨습니다.

So, Lord Jesus before teaching the prayer, he first taught us how to pray, as “When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him (6:5-8)”

그러므로 주기도문에 담긴 하나님의 진실한 뜻을 올바로 알아야 되는데, 아담의 범죄로 말미암아 “하나님이 그 사람을 쫓아내시고 에덴 동산 동쪽에 그룹들과 두루 도는 불 칼을 두어 생명 나무의 길을 지키게 하시니라(창3:24)” 하였듯, 하나님의 동산에서 쫓겨난 죄인들이고, 생명나무이신 그리스도께 되돌아갈 길도 막혔으며, “깨닫는 마음과 보는 눈과 듣는 귀는 오늘까지 여호와께서 너희에게 주지 아니하셨느니라(신29:4)” 하였듯, 성경 말씀을 아무리 사랑하며 보고 듣고 배워도 깨닫지 못하게 막혔으므로, 하나님께서 허락하시는 은혜와 사랑을 얻어야 되기 때문에 “너희는 이렇게 기도하라 하늘에 계신 우리 아버지여 이름이 거룩히 여김을 받으시오며(6:9)” 하셨는데, “네가 거기서 네 하나님 여호와를 찾게 되리니 만일 마음을 다하고 뜻을 다하여 그를 찾으면 만나리라(신4:29) - 나를 사랑하는 자들이 나의 사랑을 입으며 나를 간절히 찾는 자가 나를 만날 것이니라(잠8:17)” 하셨듯, 자신의 모든 것을 다 바쳐 진심으로 생명의 말씀 하나님을 사랑하는 자에게만 하나님께서 신령한 지혜의 문을 열어 주시기 때문입니다.

Therefore, we must first understand the will of God contained in the Lord’s prayer. For all people are sinners who were driven out of the garden of God because of Adam’s sin, and the path to return to Christ, the tree of life, is blocked, as “After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life (Genesis3:24)” Also, no matter how much you love, see hear and learn the Words of the Bible, you will not understand them because you have not been given spiritual wisdom, as “To this day the Lord has not given you a mind that understands or eyes that see or ears that hear (Deuteronomy29:4)” Therefore, in order to obtain the spiritual wisdom that God gives, so Lord Jesus first taught us to pray like this, as “This is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name (6:9)” Because, God opens the door of divine wisdom only to those who love God, the Word of life, with all their heart, as “If from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul (Deuteronomy4:29) – I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me (Proverbs8:17)”

그러나 하나님께서 그리스도 안에 정하신 대속과 구원에 합당하고 올바른 믿음은 사람의 의지나 노력으로는 결코 이루거나 다다를 수 없도록 지고 지순하기 때문에, “나라가 임하시오며 뜻이 하늘에서 이루어진 것 같이 땅에서도 이루어지이다(6:10)” 기도하라 가르치셨는데, 생명의 말씀을 진심으로 사랑하며 마음에 깊이 새기고 끊임없이 묵상하며 진리를 구하고 찾고 두드리는 사람에게만 “성령 그가 너희에게 모든 것을 가르치고 내가 너희에게 말한 모든 것을 생각나게 하리라(요14:26)” 하였듯, 성령의 은혜로 마음에 생각나는 말씀들 가운데 선택하여 짝을 잘 맞추고 올바로 깨닫아 믿어야만, “너희는 그 은혜에 의하여 믿음으로 말미암아 구원을 받았으니 이것은 너희에게서 난 것이 아니요 하나님의 선물이라(엡2:8)” 하셨듯, 임마누엘 하나님으로 임하여 이루시는 은혜와 선물의 법칙을 정하셨기 때문입니다.

However, the Lord Jesus said to us to pray, as “Your kingdom come, you will be done on earth as it is in heaven (6:10)” Because, the faith that is worthy of Christ’s atonement and salvation is so supreme that it can never be achieved through human will and effort. But, only to those who truly love the Word of Life, engrave it deeply in their hearts, and meditate on it constantly, the Holy Spirit reminds them of the Words engraved in their hearts and indirectly teaches them, as “The Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you (John14:26)” At that time, among the words that come to mind by the grace of the Holy Spirit, you must choose well, match them, understand correctly and believe in accordance with God’s will, and then the faith that comes as the Trinity and accomplishes it is the faith that is worthy of Christ’s salvation, as “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God (Ephesians2:8)”

그러나 오랫동안 성령을 따라 배우며 훈련을 받아야 그처럼 올바른 믿음이 되는데, 임마누엘 하나님의 은혜와 사랑을 믿는 올바른 믿음이 되더라도, 에덴동산에 생명 나무와 선악을 알게 하는 나무를 나란히 두신 하나님의 섭리에 따라 우리의 믿음과 선한 열정을 충동하며 죄악에 빠뜨리려는 사탄의 유혹을 끊임없이 받으며 실족하여 넘어지기 때문에, “오늘 우리에게 일용할 양식을 주시옵고(6:11)” 하셨듯, 성령으로 공급하시는 생명의 양식인 진리와 사랑을 끊임없이 받으며 따라 지키는 믿음이 돼야 하고, 믿음의 길에서 벗어나면 즉시 “하나님과 같이 되리라(창3:5)” 했던 사탄의 유혹과 충동을 받아 이미 구원받은 의인으로 착각하며 맡기고 순종하던 겸손한 믿음을 잃어버리면, “그의 마음을 완악한 대로 버려 두어 그의 임의대로 행하게 하였도다(시81:12)” 하셨듯 버림받게 되므로, 심판 날에 “주여 주여 우리가 주의 이름으로 선지자 노릇 하며 주의 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아 내며 주의 이름으로 많은 권능을 행하지 아니하였나이까(마7:22)” 할지라도, “내가 너희를 도무지 알지 못하니 불법을 행하는 자들아 내게서 떠나가라(마7:23)” 판결을 받고 쫓겨나는 불쌍한 영혼이 됩니다.

However, only after learning and training according to the Holy Spirit for a long time can we have the right faith. Even if we have faith that receives the grace and love of God Immanuel, we will constantly stumble due to the temptations of Satan that stimulate our faith and passion according to the providence of God who placed the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil side by side in the Garden of Eden. Therefore, we must have faith that receives and follows the truth and love of the Holy Spirit everyday that is the food of life, as “Give us today our daily bread (6:11)” Because, the moment you deviate from that path of faith, you will be subject to Satan’s temptation, as “You will be like God (Genesis3:5)” Then, we lose humble faith of entrusting and obeying, thinking that we are already saved and righteous, and then we are abandoned by God and fall into sin of doing as we please, as “I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices (Psalms81:12)” Then even if you appeal top your faith and devotions on the day of judgement as “Lord, Lord did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles? (7:22)” Then, you will surely become a poor soul who is condemned to hell and is not recognized by faith, as “I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers (7:23)”

더구나 임마누엘 하나님과 동행하며 순종하는 믿음을 지켰더라도 “너희가 사람의 잘못을 용서하면 너희 하늘 아버지께서도 너희 잘못을 용서하시려니와, 너희가 사람의 잘못을 용서하지 아니하면 너희 아버지께서도 너희 잘못을 용서하지 아니하시리라(6:14-15)” 하셨듯, 남의 죄를 용서하는 사랑이 없으면 죄사함을 받지 못하는 심판의 법칙 때문에 “우리가 우리에게 죄 지은 자를 사하여 준 것 같이 우리 죄를 사하여 주시옵고(6:12)” 간구하며 용서하는 삶이 되라 가르치셨고, “우리를 시험에 들게 하지 마시옵고 다만 악에서 구하시옵소서(6:13)” 하셨듯, 임마누엘 하나님께서 지키고 보호하시지 아니하면 시험과 죄에 빠지게 되기 때문이며, 더구나 “예수께서 크게 소리 질러 이르시되 엘리 엘리 라마 사박다니 하시니 나의 하나님, 나의 하나님, 어찌하여 나를 버리셨나이까(마27:46)” 하셨듯, 육신의 죽음으로 맞이하는 마지막 시험은 하나님께서 외면하시는 가운데 자신의 믿음으로 이겨내야 되기 때문에, “아버지 내 영혼을 아버지 손에 부탁하나이다(눅23:46)” 하며 맡기고 숨지셨는데, “나라와 권세와 영광이 아버지께 영원히 있사옵나이다 아멘(6:13)” 하셨듯, 우리의 믿음이나 구원이 모두 하나님의 권세에 있기 때문입니다.

Moreover, even if you keep the faith of walking with and obeying God of Immanuel, there is a law of judgement that you cannot receive forgiveness of sins if you do not have the love to forgive other’s sins, as “For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if your do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins (6:14-15)” So, through the Lord’s prayer, He taught us to pray to God and live a life of love that forgives and embraces other’s sins, as “Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors (6:12)” Also, He told that if God does not protect and guard us, we will fall into temptation and sin, so He told us to constantly pray for God’s help, as “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one (6:13)” Moreover, the final test that everyone faces with death is one that must be overcome with one’s own faith, even when God turns away from it and does not help, as “Jesus cried out in a loud voice, ‘Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani’—which means, ‘My God, my God, why have you forsaken me’ (27:46)” So, Jesus also gave his soul to God the heavenly Father and died, as “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit (Luke23:46)” Because, our faith and salvation are gifts of God’s grace, love and power, as “For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen (6:13) - For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God (Ephesians2:8)”

그러므로 주기도문을 습관적으로 외우는 어리석은 잘못을 저지르지 말고, 주기도문이 가르치는 순서대로 따라 지키며 이루는 믿음으로만 사탄과 세상과 육신의 유혹에 속지 않고 올바른 믿음을 이루며 약속된 대속과 구원을 얻어야 합니다. 여러분 모두 그처럼 말씀에 숨겨진 복음의 진리를 올바로 알고 올바로 믿으며 겸손하게 죽기까지 순종하는 믿음으로 대속과 구원을 얻어 부활하고 승천하여 영생하기를 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 축복하며 기도합니다. 아멘.

Therefore, let us all avoid the foolish mistake of habitually reciting the Lord’s prayer, but let us follow the order taught in the Lord’s prayer and have the right faith to overcome the temptations of Satan, the world, and the flesh, and keep the faith of entrusting and obeying to God until the end, and obtain atonement and salvation in Christ Jesus. Be loved brothers and sisters, I pray earnestly in the name of Jesus Christ that you all may receive atonement and salvation through the right faith, be resurrected, enter heaven and become children of God and live forever and ever. Amen.
