성경말씀: 에스겔 16장

Scripture Reading: Ezekiel 16

본문에서 “너는 근본적으로 가나안 땅에서 아모리 사람 아버지와 헷 사람 어머니 사이에 태어났으나, 네가 태어났어도 탯줄을 자르지 않았고 정결하게 물로 씻지도 않았으며 소금으로 문지르거나 강보로 싸지도 않았으며, 너를 불쌍히 여기거나 그중에 한 가지라도 네게 행하며 돌보는 자가 없었고 네가 태어나던 날에 들에 버려져 멸시를 받았느니라(16:3-5)” 하셨듯, 모든 사람은 아담의 범죄로 하나님께 버림받은 죄인으로 태어납니다.

All people are born as sinners, abandoned by God due to Adam’s sin, as “Your ancestry and birth were in the land of the Canaanites; your father was an Amorite and your mother a Hittite. On the day you were born your cord was not cut, nor were you washed with water to make you clean, nor were you rubbed with salt or wrapped in cloths. No one looked on you with pity or had compassion enough to do any of these things for you. Rather, you were thrown out into the open field, for on the day you were born you were despised (16:3-5)”

그러나 “지나가다가 피투성이로 발짓하는 너를 본 내가 살아 있으라 하였고, 내가 너를 들판의 초목같이 자라게 하였더니 네가 보석처럼 아름답게 자라고 가슴이 커지며 머리털이 자랐으나 여전히 벌거벗은 몸이었느니라. 지나가던 내가 사랑할 때가 된 너를 보고 내 옷자락 끝으로 너의 알몸을 덮어주고 너와 엄숙하게 맹서하며 언약을 맺어 내것이 되게 하였느니라(16:6-8)” 하셨듯, 죄 가운데 죽기를 바라지 않고 선택하여 부르고 찾아오시는 하나님의 사랑과 은혜로 믿음을 갖게 됩니다.

However, we have faith through the grace and love of God, who calls us and seeks us out, not wishing to die as sinners but repenting and living again, as “I passed by and saw you kicking about in your blood, and as you lay there in your blood I said to you, ‘Live.’ I made you grow like a plant of the field. You grew up and developed and became the most beautiful of jewels. Your breasts were formed and your hair grew, you who were naked and bare. Later I passed by, and when I looked at you and saw that you were old enough for love, I spread the corner of my garment over you and covered your nakedness. I gave you my solemn oath and entered into a covenant with you (16:6-8)”

그러므로, “내가 너를 목욕시켜 피를 씻어내고 기름을 바르며, 얇고 부드러운 베와 비단에 아름답게 수놓은 비싼 옷을 입히고 물돼지 가죽신을 신겼고, 아름다운 보석으로 만든 팔찌를 끼우고 목걸이를 걸어주며, 코고리와 귀고리를 귀에 달아주고 화려한 왕관을 머리에 씌웠더니, 네가 금은으로 장식하고 가는 베와 비단에 수놓은 옷을 입었으며 고운 밀가루와 꿀과 기름을 먹으며 지극히 곱고 아름다운 왕후가 되었느니라. 내가 네게 입혀준 화려하고 온전한 영화로 말미암아 너의 화려한 명성이 여러 나라에 퍼졌느니라(16:9-14)” 하셨듯, 세상에 태어나고 자라며 배우고 익히는 세상 지식과 육신의 생각이 말씀과 성령의 은혜로 씻겨져야 비로소 하나님의 백성이 됩니다.

However, the worldly knowledge and fleshly thoughts that we learn and master while being born and growing up in the world must be washed away by the Word of God and the grace of the Holy Spirit before we can become God’s people, as “I bathed you with water and washed the blood from you and put ointments on you. I clothed you with an embroidered dress and put leather sandals on you. I dressed you in fine linen and covered you with costly garments. I adorned you with jewelry: I put bracelets on your arms and a necklace around your neck, and I put a ring on your nose, earrings on your ears and a beautiful crown on your head. So, you were adorned with gold and silver; your clothes were of fine linen and costly fabric and embroidered cloth. Your food was fine flour, honey and olive oil. You became very beautiful and rose to be a queen (16:9-14)”

그러나 “네가 화려한 명성을 믿고 지나가는 모든 자들에게 아낌없이 주며 행음하므로 네 몸과 화려한 명성이 그들의 차지가 되었느니라. 내가 네게 준 아름다운 옷으로 온갖 우상의 산당을 꾸미고 행음하였으니 그런 일은 일어나서도 안되고 절대 하지 않아야 했느니라. 그러나 내가 준 금은보석으로 우상을 만들어 추잡하게 행음하였고, 수놓은 네 옷을 우상에게 입히고 나의 기름과 향을 그에게 주었으며, 내가 네게 먹으라고 준 고운 밀가루와 기름과 꿀을 그에게 향기로운 제물로 바쳤느니라 절대군주 여호와의 말이니라. 네가 음행으로는 만족하지 못하여 네가 내게 낳아준 자녀들을 그들에게 제물로 바쳤느냐, 네가 나의 자녀들을 죽여 우상에게 제물로 바쳤느니라(16:15-21)” 하셨듯, 사람들은 하나님의 은혜와 사랑과 복을 받을수록 하나님은 잊어버리고 거짓된 믿음을 우상으로 만들고 섬기는 육신의 저주와 원죄를 가졌습니다.

However, as people receive God’s grace, love and blessings, they forget God’s truth and fall into the sin of making false beliefs into idols and serving them. Therefore, you must not forget that we have the curse of the flesh and original sin in our free-will, as “You trusted in your beauty and used your fame to become a prostitute. You lavished your favors on anyone who passed by and your beauty became his. You took some of your garments to make gaudy high places, where you carried on your prostitution. Such things should not happen, nor should they ever occur. You also took the fine jewelry I gave you, the jewelry made of my gold and silver, and you made for yourself male idols and engaged in prostitution with them. And you took your embroidered clothes to put on them, and you offered my oil and incense before them. Also, the food I provided for you-the fine flour, olive oil and honey I gave you to eat-you offered as fragrant incense before them. That is what happened, declares the Sovereign Lord. And you took your sons and daughters whom you bore to me and sacrificed them as food to the idols. Was your prostitution not enough? You slaughtered my children and sacrificed them to the idols (16:15-21)”

그래서, “네가 벌거벗은 몸으로 핏속에 누워 발짓하던 어렸을 때를 생각하지 않고 가증스럽게 행음하였느니라(16:22)” 하였듯, 하나님을 처음 만나고 받은 은혜와 사랑을 잊어버리고, “하나님과 같이 되리라(창3:5)” 하였던 사탄의 유혹을 따라 제 마음대로 하는 어리석은 죄로 말미암아, “네가 모든 성읍 모든 광장에 토단을 높이 쌓고 우상의 사당과 제단을 세웠으며, 네가 모든 길목에 누각을 높이 세우고 지나가는 자들과 심히 난잡하게 음행하여 네 아름다움을 가증스럽게 하였고, 심히 호색적인 이웃 애굽인들과 심히 음란하게 행음하여 나의 진노를 일으켰느니라. 그래서 내가 너를 쳐서 원수 블레셋의 탐욕에 넘겨주어 땅이 줄어들게 하였더니 그들이 너의 음행에 충격을 받았느니라(16:24-27)” 하였듯, 세상과 사람을 의지하며 하나님을 버리고 떠나는 어리석은 죄악에 빠져도 깨닫지 못합니다.

So, almost of people easily forget the grace and love they received when they first met God, as “In all your detestable practices and your prostitution, you did not remember the days of your youth, when you were naked and bare, kicking about in your blood (16:22)” Instead, because of the foolish sin of following Satan’s temptation and doing as own pleases, as “You will be like God (Genesis3:5)” then, they do not realize it, even though they have fallen into the foolish sin of abandoning God and relying on the world and people, as “You built a mound for yourself and made a lofty shrine in every public square. At the head of every street you built your lofty shrines and degraded your beauty, offering your body with increasing promiscuity to anyone who passed by. You engaged in prostitution with the Egyptians, your lustful neighbors, and provoked me to anger with your increasing promiscuity. So, I stretched out my hand against you and reduced your territory; I gave you over to the greed of your enemies, the daughters of Philistines, who were shocked by your lewd conduct (16:24-27)”

그래서 “네가 애인들에게 재물을 쏟아 부으며 난잡하게 행음하고 가증한 우상들을 섬기며 너의 자녀들을 희생제물로 바쳤으므로, 너와 함께 즐기던 애인들, 네가 사랑했던 자들과 미워한 자들을 모두 불러모아 너를 대적하게 하고 너를 벌거벗겨 그들이 모두 너의 벌거벗음을 보게 하리라. 내가 간음하며 살인한 너의 죄에 대한 나의 질투와 분노로 너를 심판하고 네 죄악을 갚으리라. 네 애인들에게 너를 넘기리니 그들이 네 우상의 높은 사당들과 토단들을 헐고 부수며 네 옷과 장신구를 빼앗고 너를 발거벗겨 내버리고, 그들이 군중들을 데려와 너를 돌로 치고 칼로 찔러 쪼개며, 너의 집들을 불사르고 모든 여인들 앞에서 너를 벌하게 하여 네가 다시는 애인들에게 돈을 주지 않게 하리라(16:36-41)” 하였듯, 영적인 음란죄에 빠지고 멸망의 심판을 받습니다.

So, many people fall into spiritual immorality and are judged to be destroyed, as “Because you poured out your wealth and exposed your nakedness in your promiscuity with your lovers, and because of all your detestable idols, and because of you gave them your children’s blood, therefore, I am going to gather all your lovers, with whom you found pleasure, those you loved as well as those you hated. I will gather them against you from all around and will strip you in front of them, and they will see all your nakedness. I will sentence you to the punishment of women who commit adultery and who shed blood; I will bring upon you the blood vengeance of my wrath and jealous anger. Then I will hand you over to your lovers, and they will tear down your mounds and destroy your lofty shrines. They will strip you of your clothes and take your fine jewelry and leave you naked and bare. They will bring a mob against you, who will stone you and hack you to pieces with their swords. They will burn down your houses and inflict punishment on you in the sight of many women. I will put a stop to your prostitution, and you will no longer pay your lovers (16:36-41)”

그럼에도 불구하고 “네가 네 언니와 동생이 의롭게 여겨질만큼 그들보다 더욱 가증한 죄를 범하였으므로 너의 놀라운 수치를 감당해야 하리라. 그러나 내가 소돔과 사마리아와 너희의 운명을 회복시키리라. 네가 행한 모든 일로 부끄러운 수욕을 담당하며 그들에게 위로가 되었음이라. 너의 자매 소돔과 사마리아와 그들의 딸들이 옛 지위를 회복할 때 너와 네 딸들도 옛 지위를 회복하리라(16:52-55)” 하셨듯, 징계와 연단으로 모든 죄를 용서하시고 다시금 하나님의 백성이 되어 말씀과 성령의 가르침을 따라 구원을 얻을 수 있는 올바르고 합당한 믿음을 이룰 기회를 주시는 것이, 하나님께서 그리스도 안에 정하신 대속의 은혜입니다.

Nevertheless, the grace of Christ’s atonement is to forgive all sins through discipline and suffering, and to give us the opportunity to become God’s people again and achieve faith worthy of Christ’s atonement and salvation by following the teachings of the Word and the Holy Spirit, as “Bear your disgrace, for you have furnished some justification for your sisters. Because your sins were more-vile than theirs, the appear more righteous than you. So then, be ashamed and bear you disgrace, for you have you’re your sisters appear righteous. However, I will restore the fortunes of Sodom and her daughters and of Samaria and her daughters, and your fortunes along with them, so that you may bear your disgrace and be ashamed of all you have done in giving them comfort. And your sisters, Sodom with her daughters and Samaria with her daughters, will return to what they were before; and you and your daughters will return to what you were before (16:52-55)”

그래서 “네가 나의 맹서를 멸시하고 언약을 깨뜨렸으므로 마땅한 벌을 내리리라. 그러나 네가 어렸을 때 너와 맺은 언약을 내가 기억하므로 너와 영원한 언약을 세우리라. 내가 너와 맺은 언약에 들지 않은 너의 자매 소돔과 사마리아를 네게 딸로 주리니 네가 너의 행위를 기억하고 부끄러워하리라. 내가 너와 언약을 세우리니 내가 여호와인 줄 네가 알게 되리라. 네가 저지른 모든 죄를 내가 대속하면 네가 저지른 일들을 기억하고 부끄러워하며 다시는 입을 열지 못하리라 절대군주 여호와의 말이니라(16:59-63)” 하셨듯, 징계와 연단을 적당히 끝내시고 새 언약을 맺으시고 다시 살 기회를 주십니다.

So, God ends the discipline and training appropriately, makes a new covenant, and gives us a chance to live again, as “I will deal with you as you deserve, because you have despised my oath by breaking the covenant. Yet I will remember the covenant I made with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you. Then you will remember your ways and be ashamed when you receive your sisters, both those who are older than you and those who are younger. I will give them to you as daughters, but not on the basis of my covenant with you. So, I will establish my covenant with you, and you will know that I am the Lord. Then, when I make atonement for you for all you have done, you will remember and be ashamed and never again open your mouth because of your humiliation, declares the Sovereign Lord (16:59-63)”

그러므로 “새 영을 너희 속에 두고 새 마음을 너희에게 주되 너희 육신에서 굳은 마음을 제거하고 부드러운 마음을 줄 것이며, 내 영을 너희 속에 두어 너희로 내 율례를 행하게 하리니 너희가 내 규례를 지켜 행할지라. 내가 너희 조상들에게 준 땅에서 너희가 거주하면서 내 백성이 되고 나는 너희 하나님이 되리라(36:26-28)” 하셨듯, 성령의 감동으로 하나님의 뜻에 순종할 소망을 주시고 따라 지킬 힘을 주시며 이루시는 임마누엘 하나님의 은혜로 구원에 이르게 됩니다. 그러므로 자신의 믿음이나 성령의 은혜를 과신하는 교만에 빠지지 않아야 하고, 겸손하게 맡기고 순종하는 믿음을 죽기까지 지키고 부활을 얻어 천국에 들어가기를 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 축복하며 기도합니다. 아멘.

Therefore, anyone can attain salvation by the grace of God Emmanuel, who gives them the desire to obey God’s will through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and the strength to follow it, as “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. You will live in the land I gave your forefathers; I will be my people, and I will be your God (36:26-28)” Therefore, no one should fall into the sin of pride, overconfidence his own faith or the grace of the Holy Spirit, but must humbly entrust and obey the faith until death to obtain salvation. Beloved brothers and sisters, you may have as good and worthy faith in Christ Jesus all. Amen.
