He was ordained a priest on Jan. 28, 1985, for the Diocese of Masan. </p><p> </p><p>He has served the diocese in several capacities. His most recent appointment, as chancellor and vicar general, came in 2015.</p><p><br></p><p>The Diocese of Masan has an area of 9,054 square kilometers and a population of 2,561,683, of whom 172,949 are Catholics. There are 73 parishes, served by 211 priests (162 diocesan and 49 religious), 316 nuns and 40 seminarians.</p><p><br></p></div><p><br></p></tr></td></table>
