디도서 3:1

사도야!

우리 삶은 고아에서 아들로, 죄인에서 의인으로, 거절에서 용납으로, 저주에서

축복으로, 원수에서 연인으로, 창기에서 신부로 바꾸시는 구원의 여정이다.

어둠에 눈먼 세상에 대하여 관용하고 겸손할 수밖에 없는 이유는 구원의 모든

여정이 오직 하나님의 은혜이기 때문이다.

It's the apostle!
Our lives are a journey of salvation, from orphan to son, from sinner to righteous,

from refusal to tolerance, from curse to blessing, from enemy to lover, from spear

to bride. The reason why we have no choice but to be tolerant and humble about

the world blinded by darkness is that all the journey of salvation is only God's grace.

성도와 세상의 관계는 어떠해야 하는가? 성도는 하나님 나라에 속해있고, 이 세상도

하나님의 것이다. 다만 이 세상은 하나님께 순종하지 않고 있지만, 성도들은 그 권세가

하나님이 의도하신 역할(모든 선한일)을 하도록 돕기도 하고 견제하기도 해야 한다.

세상과 같지 않되 세상보다 더 숭고한 목적을 가지고 차별된 가치관을 따라 살아야 한다.

What should be the relationship between the saints and the world? The saints belong

to the kingdom of God, and this world belongs to God. However, the world is not

obedient to God, but the saints must help and check the power to play the role

(all good things) that God intended. It is not the same as the world, but it must live

according to different values with a higher purpose than the world.

이기적인 동기나 목적으로 비방과 다툼을 일삼기보다 관용과 온유함으로 살아야 한다.

이 시대의 위기는 세상이 어두워서가 아니라 성도가 빛이 아니어서 시작된 문제다.

세상에 선한 일을 하지 않는데도, 그리고 그들의 편에 서는데도 '성'도라고 부를 수는 없다.

성도의 과거는 어떠했는가? 세상의 본래적인 속성은 어떠한가?

Rather than using slander and quarrels for selfish motives or purposes, you should

live with tolerance and mildness. The crisis of this era began not because the world

was dark, but because the saints were not light. You can't call the world a "sacrifice"

even if you don't do good and stand by them. What was the past of the saints?

What is the original nature of the world like?

왜 우리가 세상과 구별되어야 하는가? 그들의 현재는 성도의 과거였다. 이제 성도의

현재가 세상의 미래가 되게 하는 것이 선교이고 전도다. 그리스도를 알기 전, 복음을

알기 전, 우리도 어리석었고 순종하지 않았고 스스로 속았고 정욕과 행락에 종노릇 했다.

악독과 투기를 일삼았고 가증스럽고 미워하는 자였다.

Why should we be distinguished from the world? Their present was the past of the

saints. Now it is missionary work and evangelism that makes the present of the saints

the future of the world. Before we knew Christ, before we knew the gospel, we were

foolish and disobedient, deceived ourselves, and were servants to lust and pleasure.

He was a vicious, speculative, abominable and hateful person.

그것 말고는 다른 것을 몰랐다. 그래서 망해가는 줄 몰랐고, 알면서도 빠져나올 수 없었다.

그게 우리가 살았던 세상이다. 복음은 대안 사회인 하나님 나라의 백성으로 우리를 새롭게

창조하시는 소식이다. 그러니 세상처럼 살면서 그 세상을 구원으로 부를 수는 없다.

구원은 우리의 선행으로 이루어 내는 것이 아니다.

I didn't know anything else but that. So I didn't know it was going to fail, and I couldn't

get out of it even though I knew it. That's the world we lived in. The gospel is the news

that newly creates us as the people of God's kingdom, an alternative society. Therefore,

you cannot live like the world and call it salvation. Salvation is not achieved by our

good deeds.

그럴 수는 없다. 그럴 힘이 죄인들에게는 없다. 오직 우리 바깥에서, 즉 우리 구주 하나님의

자비와 사랑에서 시작한다. 성부의 긍휼하심과 (예수 그리스도를 통한) 중생의 씻음과

성령의 새롭게 하시는 사역, 즉 삼위 하나님의 합작품으로 이루어낸 새 창조의 역사다.

I can't do that. Sinners don't have the power to do that. It only begins outside us, that is,

with the mercy and love of our Savior God. It is a history of new creation achieved by

the compassion of the Father, the washing of life (through Jesus Christ), and the new

ministry of the Holy Spirit, that is, the collaboration of the third God.

이제 우리가 그리스도인으로 사는 것도 예수께서 보내신 성령, 그 성령의 풍성한 역사와

은혜로만 가능하다. 이 세상을 탈출시키는 것이 아니라 이 세상을 새롭게 함으로 우리

에게 상속으로 주실 그 소망의 날까지 구원의 역사는 진행될 것이다. 다 끝나지 않았다.

아직 갈 길이 남아 있다. 선교적 삶이 영생의 삶이다.

교회를 향한 하나님의 궁극적인 부르심은 무엇인가?

Now it is only possible for us to live as Christians with the rich history and grace of the

Holy Spirit sent by Jesus. The history of salvation will continue until the day of hope

that will be given to us as inheritance by renewing this world, not escaping this world.

It's not over yet. There is still a way to go. Missionary life is the life of eternal life.

그리스도께서 우리를 구속하시고, 깨끗하게 하시려고 자신을 주신 것을

인하여 감사를 드립니다. 주님 내가 경건치 않은 것과 이 세상 정욕을

포기해야 하지만 번번이 무너졌던 것을 회개하나이다. 제가 복스러운

소망과 그리스도를 기대하며 경건을 지켜갈 수 있도록 도와주옵소서.

선한 일에 열심을 내는 착한 백성이 되게 하옵소서.

I thank you for giving yourself to bind us and to make us clean. Lord,

I must give up my ungodly desires and the lust of this world, but I repent

that I have repeatedly collapsed. Help me to keep my faith in the hope of

blessed wishes and Christ. Be a good people who work hard for good things.
