Column - Resurrection is not a hope, but a belief.
1. We must believe that Christ is the resurrection and the life, not the hope of a future resurrection.
Even if the earth were to split in two, born again would only be possible if Christ, the resurrection and life, dwells within us.
How can those born dead in Adam say they have received life if Christ, the resurrection, does not dwell within them?
To destroy the devil, who holds the power of death, the Lord died on the cross and rose again, so that we died to death and lived in him (Hebrews 2:14-15).
Death to death, the negation of negation, is affirmation.
The Son of God appeared to destroy the devil's work (1 John 3:8).
The devil uses the power of death to force us to stand before the law, enslaving us to sin.
Whether we look at the Old Testament or the New Testament, it is the law.
Ultimately, we cannot help but fall down, saying, "Wretched man that I am!"
Through baptism, which unites us with the atoning death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, we are raised from the dead, united with his resurrection, and given new life, freed from sin and death, walk according to the Spirit, fulfilling the righteousness of the law (Romans 8:4).
The law demands love. There is no law that can accuse love.
2. Easter is not a day to celebrate only the resurrection of Jesus and hope for our own future resurrection.
If that were the case, it would be the faith of Martha and Mary before Pentecost.
Therefore, Paul laments, "How can it be said that there is no resurrection of the dead?" (1 Corinthians 15:12).
Would anyone deny the historical resurrection of Jesus? That's not a matter of debate. It is a stark fact.
The only question is why you consider the present resurrection, in which those who died in Adam are raised to life through the death-and-life grace of Christ's cross, unbelievable?
How can eternal life be within someone if there is no resurrection?
Isn't the purpose of baptism to be buried with the Lord's death, to die to sin and live for God in Christ? (Romans 6:3-11).
If we have been united with him in the likeness of his death, we will naturally also be united with him in the likeness of his resurrection (Romans 6:5).
That's why I say that resurrection is not a matter of hope, but of faith.
3. The reason Christianity today is rich in earthly things but poor in heavenly blessings is because, under the influence of dispensationalism, it has pushed the resurrection, eternal life, and the kingdom of God to the future.
Therefore, they believe the first resurrection will occur after the last trumpet sounds.
So, until then, must we become slaves to the devil, who holds the power of death, and groan in fear of death?
When will we be able to boldly cry out, "O death, where is your victory? O death, where is the sin you sting? Shoot me!"
The defeated become slaves to the victor.
Unable to cry out, they are trapped in the fear of death, entangled in various weaknesses and illnesses, and lined up at the hospital.
Christ, the resurrection and the life, stands outside the church door.
That is the church of Laodicea.
Even though the Lord, the resurrection and life, has come, Martha said to Jesus, if only you had been here, you would have healed my brother and he would not have died.
Even when the Lord said, "Your brother will rise again," Martha replied, "Yes, I believe he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day."
She kept going off sidetrack like this.
She had not even a 1% belief that Lazarus would rise again.
So Christ, who is the resurrection and the life, just stood there (John 11:30).
Even now, Christians groan in fear under the power of death because they do not believe in Christ, the living and working resurrection and life.
4. Human beings who were born with death in Adam die and are resurrected with Christ, and through that resurrection, they obtain life as living beings again, and in eternal life, they become holiness by truth , glory by holiness , and one by glory, and perfect by oneness , they reach love.
Therefore, Christ within us is the mystery and the hope of glory (John 17, Colossians 1:27).
So faith leads to hope, and hope leads to love.
How can faith be alive and active when Christ, the resurrection and life, is outside?
Living faith gives birth to hope, and through that hope, glory is gained, leading to love.
Therefore, blessed are those who participate in the first resurrection.
They ignore the power of the second death, which casts humans, born with sin and death, into the lake of fire.
They reign with Christ (Revelation 20:6).
As Christ, the resurrection and life, becomes the seed within us, become a body, and that body becomes glory, it is only natural that at the sound of the last trumpet, we will suddenly shed our earthly tents and be transformed in an instant.
Just as the life of a pupa and the life of a moth are the same but their bodies are different, so if we have the life of the Lord within us, we will be clothed in the glory that corresponds to our bodies.
Therefore, resurrection is a present faith.
However, the earthly tent is swallowed up by being clothed with the life of God.
This hope is inevitable.
However, Christ, the resurrection and life, always lives within us and makes us alive through faith.
