공중전화 박스를 phone box라고 하면 미국인들은 새 전화기가 들어 있는 포장용 박스를 떠올린다. 그러면 뭐라고 해야 할까? 이때는 작은 칸 막이 방(small compartment)를 의미하는 booth로 바꿔, phone booth라고 해야한다.







	(On the street) M: Excuse me, where is the nearest phone booth? W: I'm not real sure but I think I saw one next to the bookstore. M: Which way is the bookstore?
