Bible Reading - Proverbs 25:1~10

25:1 These are more proverbs of Solomon, copied by the men of Hezekiah king of Judah:

이것들은 유다 왕 히스기야의 신하들이 베껴 쓴 솔로몬의 더 많은 잠언들이다.

25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal(숨기다) a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.

일을 감추는 것은 하나님의 영광이요, 일을 찾아내는 것은 왕의 영광이다.

25:3 As the heavens are high and the earth is deep, so the hearts of kings are unsearchable(탐색할 수 없다).

하늘이 높고 땅이 깊듯이, 왕들의 마음은 헤아릴 수 없다.

25:4 Remove the dross(불순물) from the silver, and out comes material for the silversmith(은세공인);

은에서 불순물을 제거하면 은세공인을 위한 재료가 나온다.

25:5 remove the wicked from the king's presence, 왕의 면전에서 악한 자들을 제거하면.(쫓아내면)

and his throne will be established through righteousness.그의 보좌가 의를 통하여 확립될 것이다. 

25:6 Do not exalt yourself in the king's presence, 왕의 면전에서 너 자신을 높이지 말며

and do not claim a place among great men; 위대한 사람들 사이에서 자리를 차지(주장)하지 마라.

25:7 it is better for him to say to you, "Come up here," than for him to humiliate you before a nobleman.

그가 귀족 앞에서 너를 모욕하는 것보다, "여기로 올라오라"고 너에게 말하는 편이 낫다.

25:8  What you have seen with your eyes do not bring hastily(성급히) to court,

for what will you do in the end if your neighbor puts you to shame?

네 눈으로 본 것을 성급히 법정에 내놓지 마라. 네 이웃이 너를 부끄럽게 한다면 결국 어떻게 할 것인가?

25:9 If you argue your case with a neighbor, do not betray another man's confidence(확신,신뢰),

이웃과 너의 사건을 논쟁한다면, 다른 사람의 신뢰를 배신하지 마라.

25:10 or he who hears it may shame you 그렇지 않으면 그것을 듣는 자가 너를 부끄럽게 할 것이며

and you will never lose your bad reputation(평판). 너는 영원히 나쁜 평판을 받을(잃지 않을) 것이다.
