“랍비여 우리가 당신은 하나님에게서 오신 선생인 줄 아나이다 하나님이 함께 하시지 아니하시면 당신이 행하시는 표적을 아무도 할 수 없음이니이다. 예수께서 대답하시되 진실로 진실로 네게 이르노니 사람이 거듭나지 아니하면 하나님의 나라를 볼 수 없느니라(3:2-3)” 하였듯, 하나님께서 역사하시는 성령의 능력을 보고 경험하며 인정할지라도 지식일 뿐이므로, 거듭나지 아니하면 구원을 얻지 못하는데, “깨닫는 마음과 보는 눈과 듣는 귀를 주시지 아니하셨기(신29:4)” 때문에, “진실로 진실로 네게 이르노니 사람이 물과 성령으로 나지 아니하면 하나님의 나라에 들어갈 수 없느니라. 육으로 난 것은 육이요 영으로 난 것은 영이니, 내가 네게 거듭나야 하겠다 하는 말을 놀랍게 여기지 말라(3:5-7)” 하였듯, 물과 같은 성경 말씀과 그 속에 숨겨진 진리를 가르치는 성령의 은혜로 거듭난 영혼으로만 올바른 믿음이 되고 영생의 천국에 들어갑니다.

No one be saved unless you are born again, even if, you saw, experienced, acknowledged and praise the power of the Holy Spirit working through God, because it is only knowledge, but no faith, as “Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him. In reply Jesus declared, ‘I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again (3:2-3)” Because, “The Lord has not given you a mind that understands or eyes that see or ears that hear (Deuteronomy29:4)” Therefore, we must be born again with the grace of the Holy Spirit who teaches us the words of the Bible, which are like water, and the truth hidden in them, in order to have the right faith and obtain salvation, as “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again (3:5-7)”

그러나 “모세가 광야에서 뱀을 든 것 같이 인자도 들려야 하리니, 이는 그를 믿는 자마다 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이니라. 하나님이 세상을 이처럼 사랑하사 독생자를 주셨으니 이는 그를 믿는 자마다 멸망하지 않고 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이라(3:14-16)” 하였듯, 예수를 믿고 구원을 얻도록 말씀과 성령으로 가르치시는 은혜를 받아도 구원을 얻지 못하고, 십자가에 달려 죽기까지 순종하신 그리스도를 본받는 믿음으로 죽어야 구원을 얻습니다. 그래서, “하나님이 그 아들을 세상에 보내신 것은 세상을 심판하려 하심이 아니요 그로 말미암아 세상이 구원을 받게 하려 하심이라. 그를 믿는 자는 심판을 받지 아니하는 것이요 믿지 아니하는 자는 하나님의 독생자의 이름을 믿지 아니하므로 벌써 심판을 받은 것이니라(3:17-18)” 하셨습니다.

Therefore, no one can be saved even he believe Jesus through the teaches through the Word and the Holy Spirit, but you can be saved if you will be followed faith that Jesus Christ, who was obedient until dead on a cross, as “Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (3:14-16)” So, the Bible says today for us, as “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son (3:17-18)”

왜냐하면 “정죄는 이것이니 빛이 세상에 왔으되 사람들이 자기 행위가 악하므로 빛보다 어둠을 더 사랑한 것이니라. 악을 행하는 자마다 빛을 미워하여 빛으로 오지 아니하나니 이는 그 행위가 드러날까 함이요. 진리를 따르는 자는 빛으로 오나니 이는 그 행위가 하나님 안에서 행한 것임을 나타내려 함이라 하시니라(3:19-21)” 하였듯, 사람들은 생명의 빛으로 나오기를 꺼려하는 육신의 저주와 원죄를 가졌기 때문이고, “예수께서 제자들과 유대 땅으로 가서 거기 함께 유하시며 세례를 베푸시더라. 요한도 살렘 가까운 애논에서 세례를 베푸니 거기 물이 많음이라 그러므로 사람들이 와서 세례를 받더라. 요한이 아직 옥에 갇히지 아니하였더라(3:22-24)” 하였듯, 성령의 은혜와 능력으로 잉태되고 자라나며 가르침을 받아 예수를 그리스도라 증거한 세례 요한조차, 자신의 임무가 끝났고 물러날 때가 되었다는 사실을 인정하지 않고 계속하는 어리석은 죄를 저질러 하나님을 거역하는 죄인이 되어 자신의 구원을 날려버렸다는 뜻입니다.

Because, people have the original sin and curse of the flesh, they instinctively become reluctant to come into the light of life, as “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done had been done through God (3:19-21)” So, even John the Baptist, who was conceived, raised, and taught by the Holy Spirit, and testified that Jesus was Christ, did not know that his mission until that and was over, and did not step down and entrust it to Christ, but continued to baptize, falling into the sin of going against God’s providence and not being saved, as “Jesus and his disciples went out into the Judean countryside, where he spent some time with them, and baptized. Now John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because there was plenty of water, and people were constantly coming to be baptized. This was before John was put in prison (3:22-24)”

왜냐하면 “선생님이 증언하시던 이가 례를 베풀매 사람이 다 그에게로 가더이다. 요한이 대답하여 이르되 만일 하늘에서 주신 바 아니면 사람이 아무 것도 받을 수 없느니라. 내가 말한 바 나는 그리스도가 아니요 그의 앞에 보내심을 받은 자라고 한 것을 증언할 자는 너희니라. 신부를 취하는 자는 신랑이나 서서 신랑의 음성을 듣는 친구가 크게 기뻐하나니 나는 이러한 기쁨으로 충만하였노라(3:26-29)” 하였듯, 자신의 믿음이 가장 올바르고 정확하다 착각하며, 그리스도께 맡기고 물러나야 할 때를 깨닫지 못하면서도, “그는 흥하여야 하겠고 나는 쇠하여야 하리라. 위로부터 오시는 이는 만물 위에 계시고 땅에서 난 이는 땅에 속하여 땅에 속한 것을 말하느니라 하늘로부터 오시는 이는 만물 위에 계시나니, 그가 친히 보고 들은 것을 증언하되 그의 증언을 받는 자가 없도다. 그의 증언을 받는 자는 하나님이 참되시다는 것을 인쳤느니라(3:30-33)” 하였듯, 여전히 성령께서 가르치신 진리로 찬양하고 증거하는 어리석은 믿음이었습니다.

Because, John the Baptist, were mistaken in thinking that his knowledge and faith were the most correct and accurate, but, he did not realize that his mission was over because he had testified Christ already, as “Rabbi, that man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan—the one you testified about—well, he is baptizing, and everyone is going to him. To this John replied, ‘A man can receive only what is given him from heaven. You yourselves can testify that I said, ‘I am not the Christ but am sent ahead of him. The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete (3:26-29)” it was because He had a foolish belief that He praised and testified to the truth taught by the Holy Spirit, as “He must become greater; I must become less. The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all. He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony. The man who has accepted it has certified that God is truthful (3:30-33)”

그래서 “하나님이 보내신 이는 하나님의 말씀을 하나니 이는 하나님이 성령을 한량없이 주심이니라. 아버지께서 아들을 사랑하사 만물을 다 그의 손에 주셨으니, 아들을 믿는 자에게는 영생이 있고 아들에게 순종하지 아니하는 자는 영생을 보지 못하고 도리어 하나님의 진노가 그 위에 머물러 있느니라(3:34-36)” 증거하였음에도, 마음 속에 확신이 없었으므로 제자들을 보내어 “오실 그이가 당신이오니이까 우리가 다른 이를 기다리오리이까(마11:3)” 물어야만 했고, 그런 세례 요한의 믿음을 정확하게 아셨던 예수 그리스도께서 “여자가 낳은 자 중에 세례 요한보다 큰 이가 일어남이 없도다 그러나 천국에서는 극히 작은 자라도 그보다 크니라(마11:11)” 하셨듯, 세상에서 가장 크고 훌륭한 일을 했던 요한이지만 자신의 영혼을 구원을 얻지 못하리라 명백하게 선포하셨습니다.

So, John the Baptist was asks to Jesus through his disciples, as “Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone else? (Matthew11:3)” Even though He was boldly testified for Jesus is the Christ, as “For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit. The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him (3:34-36)” But, Jesus, who knew exactly what John the Baptist believed, clearly told him that he who did the greatest work in the world would not enter heaven of God, as “Among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet he who is least in the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it (Matthew11:11)”

그럼에도 불구하고 요한의 명을 받아 물으러 온 제자들에게, “너희가 가서 듣고 보는 것을 요한에게 알리되, 맹인이 보며 못 걷는 사람이 걸으며 나병환자가 깨끗함을 받으며 못 듣는 자가 들으며 죽은 자가 살아나며 가난한 자에게 복음이 전파된다 하라(마11:4-5)” 하시며, 깨닫고 회개하여 용서하고 고쳐주며 다시 살 기회를 주시는 하나님의 은혜와 사랑을 받으라 가르쳤으나, 어느 누구도 도와줄 수 없고 자신의 자유의지로 선택하고 결정하는 대로 이루어지는 믿음의 법칙과 임마누엘 하나님의 섭리 때문에, “누구든지 나로 말미암아 실족하지 아니하는 자는 복이 있도다(마11:6)” 가르치셨습니다.

Nevertheless, Jesus said to the disciples who had come to ask him at John’s command, as “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor (Matthew11:4-5)” Because, Jesus wanted to John the Baptist realize his belief and sins and repent it, and receive God’s grace to forgive and give him a chance to live again to eternal life. Because, faith cannot be replaced by anyone and is something that is chosen and decided by one’s own free will. That’s why, Jesus give warning it, as “Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account of me (Matthew11:6)”

그러므로 예수 그리스도를 잘 믿고 복음의 진리를 올바로 전하고 가르치며 성령의 능력으로 증거를 받더라도 자신의 믿음을 신뢰하거나 의지하지 말고 오직 그리스도의 대속이 없으면 구원을 얻을 수 없다는 사실을 잊지 말고 하나님의 언약을 신뢰하며 맡기고 죽기까지 순종하여 구원을 얻어야 합니다. 사랑하는 형제자매 여러분, 모두모두 죽을 때까지 순종하지 못하면 모든 것이 무효가 되는 심판의 법칙을 잊지 말고, “두렵고 떨리는 마음으로 여러분의 구원을 이루러 가시기를(빌2:12)” 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 기도하며 축복합니다. 아멘.

Therefore, even if you believe in Jesus, preach the truth of the gospel correctly, and receive testimony through the power of the Holy Spirit, you must not forget that you will not be saved, if you trust in your own faith or righteousness as the John the Baptist. Instead, we must keep in mind that we cannot be saved without the atonement of Christ, so we must place our hope and trust in God’s covenant alone, entrust ourselves to him, and obey Him until death in order to be saved. Dear brothers and sisters, do not forget the law of judgement that everything becomes invalid if you do not obey until death, and I pray earnestly in the name of Christ Jesus that “As you have always obeyed, continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians2:12)” hearts all. Amen.
