Must Return to the Providence of Creation of God before Death & Judge

성경말씀: 에스겔 38~39

Scripture Reading: Ezekiel 38-39

“메섹과 두발의 왕 곡아 내가 너를 대적하리라. 내가 네게 돌이켜 너의 턱에 갈고리를 꿰고 너의 말들과 완전무장한 기마병들과 크고 작은 방패를 들고 빛나는 칼을 휘두르는 크고 많은 군대를 모두다 끌어내리라. 너희와 같이 방패와 투구를 갖춘 페르시아와 구스와 붓과, 고멜과 북쪽 끝의 도갈마 족속과 모든 민족들의 수많은 무리들을 너와 함께 끌어내리라. 네가 그 모든 무리들을 다 모으고 철저하게 준비하고 그들을 지휘하라(38:3-7)” 하였는데, 셈의 후손과 야벳의 후손이 연합하여 페르시아가 된 역사가 증명하듯, 하나님을 떠나 살면 하나님과 그리스도 복음의 원수가 됩니다.

Anyone, if he lose his faith in God, he will become enemies of God and the gospel of Christ, just as the descendants of Shem and Japhet united to form Persia, as “I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army-your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords. Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops-the many nations with you. Get ready, be prepared, you and all the hordes gathered about you, and take command of them (38:3-7)”

그러면, “여러 날 후 네가 징집되고 훗날 네가 명령을 받아 오래 황폐되었다가 전쟁에서 회복된 땅을 침략하리니 이방 여러 나라에서 모여든 백성들이 평안히 사는 이스라엘 산에 이르리라. 너와 너의 모든 무리와 너와 함께 한 많은 나라가 폭풍처럼 올라와 구름 같이 땅을 덮으리라. 절대군주 여호와가 말하노라 그 날에 네 마음에서 나오는 악한 생각으로 계략을 꾸미리라. 내가 성벽이나 문이나 빗장이 없어도 의심없이 평안하게 사는 백성들에게 올라가서, 물건을 겁탈하며 노략하리라 하고 네 손을 들어 여러 나라에서 황폐되었던 땅으로 돌아와 다시 자리를 잡고 세상 중앙에 거주하며 짐승과 재물이 많은 백성들이라(38:8-12)” 하였듯, 악한 마음에 따라 하나님의 백성들을 침략하고 탈취할 악한 음모를 꾸미고 실행하는 죄에 빠집니다.

Then, he will surely be falls into the sin of evil plots to invade and executing and plunder God’s people, according to his evil heart, as “After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety. You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land. This is what the Sovereign Lord says: On that day thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil scheme. You will say, ‘I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people-all of them living without walls and without gates and bars. I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land (38:8-12)”

그러나, “내 백성 이스라엘이 평안히 거주하는 날에 네가 그것을 깨닫지 못하겠느냐? 네가 고국 땅 북쪽 끝에서 말을 탄 많은 민족들의 강한 군대와 큰 무리들을 이끌고 오리라. 구름이 땅을 덮음 같이 내 백성 이스라엘을 치러 오리라 곡아 그날이 오면 내가 너를 이끌어다가 내 땅을 치게 하고 내가 너로 말미암아 이방 사람들 앞에서 내 거룩함을 나타내어 그들이 다 나를 알게 하리라(38:14-16)” 하셨듯, 하나님의 능력과 영광을 나타내는 희생제물이 될 뿐입니다.

But, it is only a sacrificial offering that demonstrates the power and glory of God’s righteous judgement, as “In that day, when my people Israel are living in safety, will you not take notice of it? You will come you’re your place in the far north, you and many nations with you, all of them riding on horses, a great horde, a mighty army. You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land. In days to come, O Gog, I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I show myself holy through you before their eyes (38:14-16)”

그래서, “내가 예전부터 내 종 이스라엘 선지자들을 통하여 내가 너를 이끌어다가 그들을 치게 하리라 수년 동안 예언하지 않았느냐? 곡이 이스라엘 땅을 공격하면 나의 분노가 불같이 일어나리라 절대군주 여호와의 말이니라. 나의 불타는 질투와 분노로 선포하나니 그날에 이스라엘 땅에 큰 지진이 있으리라. 모든 산이 뒤집히고 절벽과 모든 성벽이 바닥까지 무너지므로 바다의 고기들과 공중의 새들과 들의 짐승들과 땅에 기는 것들과 모든 사람들이 내 앞에서 떨리라(38:17-20)” 하셨듯, 자신의 죄악을 깨닫고 회개하여 용서하시는 은혜를 받아 다시 살기를 바라고 미리미리 예언하시지만, 깨닫지 못하여 멸망의 심판을 받습니다.

So, God, who wants people to realize their sins, repent, and live again, prophesies and warns them in advance, but they do not listen, do not understand, and do not repent, so, they are judged to be destroyed, as “Are you not the one I spoke of in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel? At that time, they prophesied for years that I would bring you against them. This is what will happen in that day: When God attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign Lord. In my zeal and fiery wrath, I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. This fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground (38:17-20)”

그래서 “내가 이스라엘 모든 산에서 칼을 불러 곡을 치리니 각 사람이 칼을 들어 형제들을 치리라. 내가 폭우와 큰 우박과 불과 유황을 그와 그의 군대와 그와 함께 있는 많은 민족에게 폭우처럼 쏟아 부으며 전염병과 피로 그를 심판하리라. 내가 모든 나라에 나의 위대하고 거룩함을 나타내고 알리리니 내가 여호와인 줄을 그들이 알리라(38:21-23)” 하셨듯, 미리 선포하여 깨닫고 회개할 기회를 주시지만, 깨닫지 못하고 회개하지 아니하므로, “로스와 메섹과 두발 왕 곡아 내가 너를 대적하리라. 너를 북쪽 끝에서 돌려세우고 끌고가서 이스라엘 산을 치게 하리라. 그리고 내가 네 손을 쳐서 활과 화살을 떨어뜨리리라 너와 함께 온 모든 민족들과 무리들을 다 이스라엘 산에서 엎드러지게 하여 온갖 사나운 새들과 짐승들에게 먹이로 주리라(39:1-4)” 하였듯, 멸망의 심판을 받습니다.

Even so, God gives people a chance to realize and repent by declaring it in advance, but people do not realize it and do not repent, as “I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign Lord. Every man’s sword will be against his brother. I will execute judgement upon him with plague and bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him. And so, I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord (38:21-23)” So, people will eventually face the judgement of destruction, as “I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you around and drag you along. I will bring you from the far north and send you against the mountains of Israel. Then I will strike your bow from your left hand and make your arrows drop from your right hand. On the mountains of Israel, you will fall, you and all your troops and the nations with you. I will give you as food to all kinds of carrion birds and to the wild animals (39:1-4)”

왜냐하면, “내가 마곡과 해변에 평안히 사는 자들에게 불을 내려 내가 여호와인 줄을 그들이 알게 하리라. 내 거룩한 이름을 내 백성 이스라엘에게 알려 다시는 내 거룩한 이름을 더럽히지 않게 하리니 내가 이스라엘의 거룩한 여호와인 줄 모든 민족들이 알게 하리라. 절대군주 여호와의 말이니라 내가 말한 그날이 오고 있으니 심판의 날이 반드시 오리라(39:6-8)” 하셨듯, 멸망의 심판이 시작되기 전까지는 세상에서 번영하고 평안하게 살도록 허락하셨다가, 하나님께서 정하신 때에 아무도 피하지 못하도록 갑자기 멸망으로 심판하시기 때문입니다.

Because, God allows even the most sinful of people to prosper and live in peace in the world before the judgement of destruction begins, and then, at the time God has determined, He suddenly judges them with destruction, as “I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in safety in the coastlands, and they will know that I am the Lord. I will make known my holy name among my people Israel. I will no longer let my holy name be profaned, and the nations will know that I the Lord am the Holy One in Israel. It is coming. It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign Lord. This is the day I have spoken of (39:6-8)”

왜냐하면, 하나님을 잊어버린 자들을 희생제물로 삼아 엄격한 심판을 집행하시며, “내가 그들에게 행하는 심판의 권능을 모든 민족들에게 나타내어 나의 영광을 모든 민족들이 보게 하리라. 그날부터 이스라엘 족속은 내가 그들의 하나님 여호와인 줄을 알게 되리라. 모든 나라와 민족들은 이스라엘 족속이 내게 불순종한 그들의 죄악으로 말미암아 내가 그들에게 얼굴을 가리고 그들을 원수들에게 넘겨 칼에 엎드러지고 사로잡혀 가게 하였던 줄을 알게 되리라. 내가 그들의 더러운 죄악에 따라 그들을 대했고 그들에게 내 얼굴을 가렸음이라(39:21-24)” 하셨듯, 하나님을 알고 생명의 말씀의 능력을 경험하고도 올바른 믿음이 되지 못한 자들을 일깨우고 변화시켜 구원하시려는 하나님의 사랑 때문입니다.

Because, it is God’s love that seeks to save those who fail to have right faith, even those who know God and the Word of Life, while awakening, changing, and saving them by executes strictly judgement of sacrificing those who have lost God, as “I will display my glory among the nations, and all the nations will see the punishment I inflict and the hand I lay upon them. From that day forward the house of Israel will know that I am the Lord their God. And the nations will know that the people of Israel went into exile for their sin, because they were unfaithful to me. So, I hid my face from them and handed them over to their enemies, and they all fell by the sword. I dealt with them according to their uncleanness and their offenses, and I hid my face from them (39:21-24)”

그래서, 하나님의 말씀을 따라 지키지 않고 거역한 죄로 심판하여 멸망시키시고 고난으로 연단하시던 이스라엘 유대인들을, “이제 나의 거룩한 이름을 위한 열심으로 야곱을 포로 생활에서 돌아오게 하고 이스라엘 온 족속에게 긍휼을 베풀리라. 그들이 자기 땅에서 두렵게 하는 자 없이 평안히 거주할 때에 내게 범한 죄를 뉘우치고 부끄러워하리라. 내가 그들을 적국에서 모아 내고 만민 중에서 돌아오게 하며 많은 민족 앞에서 그들로 말미암아 나의 거룩함을 나타내리라. 내가 비록 그들이 여러 나라에 사로잡혀 가게 하였으나 후에는 내가 그들을 한 사람도 이방에 남기지 않고 모아 고국 땅으로 돌아오게 하여 내가 그들의 하나님 여호와인 줄 알게 하리라. 내 영을 이스라엘 족속에게 부어주고 내가 다시는 그들에게 얼굴을 가리지 아니하리라(39:25-29)” 하셨듯, 다시금 불러모아 고국으로 돌아오게 하시고, 구원의 하나님이심을 알리시며, 성령을 주셔서 가르치고 순종하는 믿음으로 인도하며 이루시는 것이, 그리스도의 임마누엘 은혜와 선물이고 대속과 구원이라는 뜻입니다.

So, God called back the Jewish people of Israel, who had been destroyed and disciplined through suffering for their sins of disobeying and not keeping the Word of God, and brought them back to their homeland, thereby, making it known that He is the God of salvation, and He taught them through the Holy Spirit and led them to have an obedient faith, as “I will now bring Jacob back from captivity and will have compassion on all the people of Israel, and I will be zealous for my holy name. They will forget their shame and all the unfaithfulness they showed toward me when they lived in safety in their land with no on to make them afraid. When I have brought them back from the nations and have gathered them from the countries of their enemies, I will show myself holy through them in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the Lord their God, for though I sent them into exile among the nations, I will gather them to their own land, not leaving any behind. I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel (39:25-29)”

그러므로, 언약의 말씀만 바라고 믿는 그릇된 믿음에 빠지지 말고, 경고의 말씀을 두려워하며, 마음에 새겨진 말씀을 생각나게 하시는 성령의 은혜로 복음의 진리를 올바로 배우며 죽기 전에 하나님의 창조섭리로 되돌아가는 올바른 믿음이 돼야 구원을 얻습니다. 여러분 모두 그처럼 올바른 믿음으로 구원과 영생 얻기를 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 기도하며 축복합니다. 아멘.

Because It is the way of redemption and salvation in Christ Jesus through the grace and gift of Immanuel God. Therefore no one should fall into the false belief of trusting only in the words of the covenant, but should fear the words of warning, learn the truth of the gospel correctly by following the Holy Spirit who reminds us of the words engraved in our hearts and teaches us indirectly, and achieve the right faith that leads to God’s creative providence before death to obtain salvation. Dear brothers and sisters, I pray earnestly in the name of Jesus Christ that you may all obtain salvation and eternal life through such righteous faith. Amen.
