선수들이 각자 조금씩 다른 시간대에 기여를 했어. 특별히 이넘이가 플레이를 잘해서 기뻐. 옥돔이가 파울트러블에 걸렸을때 도움이 되어줬어.

"You know, I hadn't analyzed the box before I was run out here, but 16-0 in second-chance points is pretty remarkable," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said.

박스스코어를 아직 분석을 안했지만, 세컨찬스 득점이 16-0 이라는건 상당히 고무적이야.

“Pau played a big game tonight,” Jackson said. “I thought they did a good job on him in the post, but his movement and his activity was important.”

파우가 오늘 대단했지. 오늘 파우에 대한 보수동의 수비는 좋았다고 생각해. 하지만 파우의 움직임과 활동량이 수비를 제압했지.

"What I see from him is just the little actions that represent not-backing-down type of things," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. "Getting hit, taking the blow, absorbing it, not reacting to it one way or the other with the mentality to look at the referee or wonder about the blow and the legitimacy of it. Those are the things he's learned in the last year and a half or two."

오늘 가솔에게서 찌그러져 있지 않으려는 모습을 보았어. 맞고, 터지더라도 그냥 그것에 반응하지 않고 흡수해버렸지. 멘탈적으로도 흔들리지 않고, 심판에게 항의하지도 않고, 자신의 억울함을 표현하지도 않았어. 이런모습이 지난 1년반에서 2년사이에 그가 배운 것이지.

"I wish I felt good [about that]," Jackson said. "I wish I had put it in the bank, so to speak ... We've got a lot of work ahead of us, but it's nice to know that that's on our side."

(47-0 크리?) 이번에도 느낌이 좋았으면 좋겠어. 기록이 깨지지 않았으면 좋겠는데.. 우린 아직 해야할 것들이 많아. 하지만, 우리에게 유리한 그런 기록이 있다는 건 좋은거지.

"That wasn't the prettiest basketball game I've ever watched in my life," Jackson said. "But it was a good win for us."

(무수한 파울콜이 남발된 경기) 내가 평생 봤던 그런 멋진 경기는 아니었어. 하지만 이겼다는게 좋은거지.

"No," he said. "It was long, though. It was a long game."

(경기가 지루했어?) 아니, 그런건 아니고, 그냥 너무너무 경기시간이 길었어.

"I told them I'd give them a gold star or a red star," he said dryly.

(무미건조하게) 그래서 난 선수들에게 돈대신 금별이나 빨강별로 주겠다고 얘기했어.

(스턴이 공격자파울을 유도하면 50달러를 주겠다고 한 필사마의 발언이 샐러리캡에 대한 리그의 규정에 어긋날 수 있다고 얘기한 것에 대해... 근데 원래 50달러 주려고 했던게 시즌중 지각같은 것으로 선수들이 낸 벌금으로 모아둔 돈에서 나눠줄려고 했다고 하네요)

"I just responded to the challenge," said Bryant, and by "challenge," he means the one defeat that has spent the last two years gnawing at his soul.

(2년전 패배를 기억하면서) 난 그저 저들의 챌린지에 응했을뿐이야.

Bryant surely hopes so, which is why he jumped off the bench and gave Artest an emotional hug. "It was a big play for us," Bryant said. "I was happy with the play that he made and I was excited for him. I think he does a great job of us setting the tone defensively with his intensity and with his energy. I was just letting him know it was well appreciated."

(4쿼터 아테의 빅베이비 스틸 -> 가솔의 덩크) 그건 정말 대단한 플레이였어. 아테의 플레이에 난 정말 기뻤고 분위기 업됐지. 그의 에너지 넘치는 강력한 수비가 우리팀의 분위기를 만들어줬지. 그에게 고마웠다는 마음을 그가 알아주었으면 해.

Said Bryant: "It's not necessarily about having a great start as much as it is trying to win the series."

(오늘 경기가 아주 맘에 들지는 않은듯) 이 시리즈를 가져오기 위해 꼭 완벽한 스타트가 있어야만 하는건 아냐.

“At this point, the key is to win every game,” he said.

지금 이 순간, 정말 중요한건 모든 게임을 이기는 것이지.

"That was surprising," Bryant said. "That's not something we were hanging our hats on, to score 100 points. We hang our hats on defending and rebounding."

(보수동의 수비를 뚫고 100득점 넘게 한 것) 놀라운 일이었어. 하지만 고득점을 했다는 것을 높이 평가하기 보단, 우리의 수비와 리바운드를 높이 평가해야하지.

Said Kobe: "It was pretty much what we expected. Just try to keep him out of the lane as much as possible."

(론도의 공격스타일) 그의 움직임은 우리가 예상했던 바였어. 그가 골밑안으로 들어오지 못하게 최대한 막으려고 했지.

"For me, it was important just to play hard, be aggressive and help out as much as possible out there, win the first game," Gasol said,

"I was ready. I was just ready to play. I like the challenge, and I'm ready to step up and play. That's all I did."

"That was my mindset tonight. There was no statements to be made. My goal, our goal, is to win the championship, not just the first game and not just to make a statement right now. Obviously we're very happy with the result tonight, but now we've just got to focus for Game 2.

그게 오늘 나의 마음가짐이었어. 우리가 어떻게 하겠다고 목소리를 낼 것은 없었어. 나의 목표, 우리의 목표는 우승을 하는 것이야. 첫게임을 잡는 것도 아니고, 우리가 어떻게 하겠다고 목소리를 내는 것도 아닌 것이지. 물론 오늘 결과에 대핸 아주 기뻐. 하지만 우린 2차전을 준비해야 해.

“I knew it was going to be physical. That’s a given,” Gasol said. “After consecutive finals, we understand the nature of the game. We understand who our rival is, how they play. You’ve got to compete, and you’ve got to match that physicality, that aspect of the game to be successful.”

피지컬한 경기가 될 줄 알았지. 그건 기본전제와도 같은거야. 파이널을 계속 뛰다보니 파이널 경기의 성격을 파악하게 된거지. 우리 라이벌이 누군지, 그들이 어떻게 플레이하는지 알게된거지. 그들과 투쟁해야하고 피지컬한 것에 맞서 싸워야해. 그게 성공적인 경기의 모습인거지.

"It was great to have Andrew," Gasol said. "Obviously he was a big factor ... (he) really contributed in different ways, and we want to see him as much as possible out there."

어린이가 있다는 게 참 컸어. 확실히 그의 존재가 큰 승리의 요소였지. 다른 방식들로 경기에 기여했지. 더 많이 그가 코트에 있기를 원해.

<어부옹>

"I hope we don't have to answer these questions the whole series," Fisher said after scoring nine points on three-of-eight shooting. "It's two years guys. It's like asking me what's different from my 3 year old two years later when they're 5. They're 5. That's the difference. I don't know what to point to other than different personnel."

(끊임없는 08년 시리즈와의 비교) 이 시리즈 내내 이 질문에 대해 우리가 대답하지 않기를 원해. 2년전이라고. 이건 마치 내가 5살이 되었을때 3살때와 어떤것이 다르니라고 묻는 것과 같아. 그냥 다섯살인거자나. 그게 차이인거지. 그것 외에 내가 어떤 점을 얘기할 수 있을지 모르겠어.

"When he's had the ability to have this game, he's done it," Fisher said of Bynum. "It doesn't surprise us for him to do well. He's really been a trooper in giving everything that he has. We're appreciative of it."

바이넘은 경기를 장악할 수 있는 재능을 가졌고, 오늘 그걸 보여줬지. 그가 좋은 플레이를 보여줬다는 것이 놀랍지 않았어. 그의 가진 재능으로 그는 게임의 전투요원이 되어왔지. 우린 그것에 고마워하고 있어.

<론더퀵>

“That’s not a tone that we want to set,” Artest claimed. “I was a little emotional, and I had a little bit of anxiety at that point, and I was fired up."

(경기 시작하자마자 폴피와의 진흙탕) 우리가 갖고 가고자 했던 분위기의 플레이는 아니었어. 내가 좀 감정적이었지.  내 심리가 불안정했었나봐. 그래서 욱했던거지.

"I thought we fell asleep at times," Artest said.

우리 경기 중간에 때때로 정줄을 놨던 것 같아.

"We can play a lot better," Artest added.

우린 더 잘할 수 있어.

"I still don't feel like I'm in the Finals," he said. "I feel like I'm playing basketball. The minute I think about the Finals I'll forget about the game I have to play. "I'm not sure how I should feel, whether I should be excited or emotional," Artest said. "Unfortunately, I wish I could enjoy it more."

난 아직도 내가 파이널을 뛰고 있다는 느낌이 안들어. 그냥 농구를 하고 있다는 느낌뿐이야. 파이널에 대해 생각하는 순간, 내가 어떻게 플레이할지 까먹을꺼야. 내가 어떤 느낌을 가져야만 하는지, 내가 좀더 익사이팅 해져야하는지 아니면 감정적으로 임해야하는지 모르겠어. 불행하게도, 난 내가 더 경기를 즐겼으면 좋겠어.

And for Game 2? "No," he said, laughing. "No, that is it."

(1만8천달러로 두명에게 1차전 티켓을 준 아테. 2차전에도 할꺼야?) 아니. (웃으면서) 이게 마지막이야.

<옥돔>

"I think people forget how good we are defensively," Lakers forward Lamar Odom said.

우리 수비가 얼마나 좋은지 사람들이 까먹은거 같아.

Scribbled in black on a white board directly across Kobe Bryant's locker was the phrase "3 Mo."

"We're counting down," said Odom, whose team is now 9-0 at home in the postseason with Game 2 on Sunday.

우린 3승 남았다는 것을 카운팅하고 있어.

<어린이>

"It feels really good," Bynum said. "Super fun for us tonight. A lot of energy."

느낌이 좋았어. 우리에게 아주 재밌는 날이었어. 에너지가 넘쳤지.

"I just tried to be as effective as I can in the minutes I'm given," said Bynum, who missed the 2008 NBA Finals because of a sore left kneecap. "I'm just going out there and playing hard."

내가 경기에 뛰는 순간마다 효율적인 플레이를 하려고 노력했어. 그저 나가서 열심히 플레이했을뿐이야.

Yes, his night was a surprise even to him. "For sure and it's motivating to me," Bynum said. "I really want to just try to block shots, get rebounds and get easy baskets for us. If I do that we have a good chance."

(오늘 나의 퍼포먼스에 대해) 나조차 동기부여가 되어버렸지. 블락샷, 리바운드, 쉬운 득점을 하려고 노력하고자 했지. 내가 그렇게 한다면 울팀에게 좋은 기회가 될꺼라는 거니깐 말야.

"I'm saying we were (peeved) off that they took an opportunity for us to have another championship (in 2008)," Bynum said. "We just want to return the favor."

우린 2년전에 저들이 우리에게서 챔피언을 뺏어간것에 대해 계속 열받아 있었지. 그걸 되갚아주길 원할뿐이야.

"In Game 2 they're going come out mad, they're going to come out ready to go, but we've got to be even more hungry."

그들이 2차전을 분노의 자세로 임하겠지. 하지만 우린 그들보다 더 굶주려있어.

<넌새>

"It tastes all right," Brown said. "It don't really taste like steak and potatoes, but it's kind of like chicken."

(승리의 맛이 어때?) 맛 좋네. 스테이크나 감자 맛은 아니고, 치킨종류의 맛이 나.

"They were ready," Magic Johnson said as we walked out of the arena. "Just like the old days."

울 애들 준비됐구만. 예전 레이커스 선수들같이 말야.

(아우.. 뛰기 싫어... 오늘 이상하게 벤치에 앉아 있는게 더 편하네..)

<닥감독>

"I thought they just attacked the paint the whole night," Celtics coach Doc Rivers said. "I didn't think we handled the dribble penetration well at all. They were in the paint - Shannon Brown, Kobe, (Derek) Fisher. I mean, it was a parade down in the paint."

저들은 우리 페인트존을 왠종일 내내 공략했어. 저들의 드리블 돌파를 전혀 제어하지 못했지. 넌새, 코비, 어부가 우리 페인트존에서 놀았어. 완전 퍼레이드 행진 같았지.

"The Lakers were clearly the more physical team today," Celtics coach Doc Rivers said. "They were more aggressive. And the team's that's more aggressive gets more calls."

현재까진 저들이 우리보다 더 피지컬한 팀이야. 더 공격적이었지. 공격적인 팀이 더 많은 파울콜을 얻는거야.

"He was the best player on the floor,'' said Rivers of Gasol. "He made terrific plays, terrific passes, shot when he should. Yeah, he's better, he's far more aggressive. If you heard for two years what you couldn't do, you're probably going to come in and try to prove that -- and I thought Gasol proved a lot tonight.''

오늘 경기의 베스트플레이어는 가솔이었어. 대단하나 플레이와 패스들, 그리고 필요할때 넣어주는 샷들... 그는 확실히 좋아졌어. 더 공격적이었지. 2년간 넌 '할 수 없어'라고 얘기를 들어왔다면, 아마 경기에서 난 할 수 있다라는 걸 증명하고자 플레이를 하겠지. 오늘 가솔은 많은 것을 증명해주었어.

"I thought he did a terrific job,'' Celtics coach Doc Rivers said of Bryant's defense on Rondo.

론도에 대한 코비의 수비는 대단했어.

"Their bench outplayed our bench," said Rivers. "The only silver lining is that as bad as I thought we played, there were chances to get back in the game."

저들의 벤치가 우리의 벤치를 압도했어. 있는 삽, 없는 삽 단체로 푼 우리 벤치였기에 2차전에는 더 나쁜 모습을 보여줄 게 없다는게 유일한 위안거리인 듯.

<폴피>

"They did an excellent job with all the hustle plays," Pierce said. "That's a game that we usually thrive in - the loose balls and 50/50 plays. They got us on the offensive rebounds. But we knew that. The thing is you can't ease into the game, especially in the Finals."

저들의 허슬이 대단했어. 우리가 경기하던 방식이었는데.. 루즈볼과 50/50 플레이들에서 허슬플레이를 펼치는 것 말야. 오펜 리바를 장악했지. 경기를 쉽게 생각하면 안되지, 특히 이건 파이널이자나.

Following the contest, Paul Pierce(notes) was equally shocked and confident moving forward. "I looked up, and we had given up 100 points," he said. "I haven't seen that in a while."

스코어보드를 보니 우리가 100실점 넘게 했더라고.. 최근에 이런적이 없었던 것 같았는데...

"You saw it in guys' faces," Paul Pierce said. "You heard it, from reactions after the game, just how guys felt. It wasn't a typical-loss locker room. There were some angry people in there and they showed it. The guys in there got pride and don't want to lose the way we did.

우리 선수들 표정 봤을꺼야. 그리고 경기후 우리 선수들이 느끼는 반응을 들었을꺼야. 라커룸 분위기도 평소 패한 경기의 분위기가 아니었지. 분노한 선수들이 몇몇 있었지. 스스로에게 자존심이 있는 선수들은 이딴 식으로 경기를 지기를 원치 않지.

"I know my team. I'll know we'll bounce back."

난 우리팀을 잘 알아. 우린 다시 반격할꺼야.

<KG>

“I’m better than what I was tonight,” Garnett said. “I played like [expletive].”

오늘 보여진 내모습 보다 난 훨씬 더 잘해. 난 정말 엿같이 플레이했어.

"He was aggressive," Garnett said. "They got second shots with the rebounds. We've got to do a better job with a lot of things. I'm sure we'll fix it tomorrow. It's only Game 1, though."

가솔은 오늘 공격적이었지. 그리고 저들은 오펜리바에 의한 세컨찬스를 얻었었지. 많은 부분에서 개선해야 할점이 있지. 내일 우린 다 고쳐나갈 것을 확신해. 고작 한경기를 치뤘을 뿐이자나.

<실신론도>

"I don't think we had a lot of fast-break points,'' Rondo said. He was spot on in that assessment. "They did a great job getting back on the fast break. It seemed like every time we took the ball out of the net."

우리 오늘 속공이 거의 없었던 것 같아. 저들의 백코트가 아주 좋았지. 마치 골대에서 공을 걷어내는 듯한 느낌이었어. 

"They did a good job of collapsing when I did get inside,'' Rondo said. "They're very long. Fish is very clever. He took a charge on me one time."

내가 골밑으로 돌파하면 나를 잘 봉쇄하더라고. 저들의 골밑은 매우 길었지. 어부옹은 매우 영리했어. 오펜 파울을 하나 유도했었지.

<퍽>

"I was very surprised," said Kendrick Perkins, staring wearily at his shoes after being shoved around by one-legged Andrew Bynum. "They competed harder than us. They worked harder than us. They were all very physical."

오늘 매우 놀랐어. 우리보다 더 빡세고 격렬했어. 우리보다 더 열심히 뛰었지. 매우 피지컬했다고.

<빅베이비>

"Offensive rebounding was tough; that kind of dictated the game," said Celtics forward Glen Davis, who had just three rebounds in almost 19 minutes.

오펜리바가 오늘 경기를 지배해버렸어.

"Pau Gasol can't have eight rebounds. He was a big factor tonight. He was being Pau Gasol. We can't let him be Pau Gasol. If he's being Pau Gasol, then you've got Kobe out there and that's a lot to deal with."

파우가 8개의 오펜리바를 잡으면 안되는거지. 그가 오늘 경기의 승리요소였어. 파우가 파우다운 플레이를 펼쳤어. 우리는 파우가 파우같은 플레이를 펼치게 하면 안되. 파우가 살아나면, 코비도 있는데.. 아주 복잡해지지.

파우 : 그래, 그럼 충분히 쉴께. 테니스 경기는 뭐 스탯으로만 확인하지.

코비 : (나중에 기자에게) 파우와 내가 같은 목표에 서 있는지 확인하고 싶었을뿐이야.^^

(내 마음가짐은 이정도인데.. 테니스 시청? 파우 이자식!!)

1차전이고 주말이라 맘먹고 이빠이 많이 모아봤는데...
