In Argentina, Infobae reported that Guatemala will begin selling regular gasoline with an E10 blend on August 22, a combination of 90% gasoline and 10% ethanol that the Government will first apply to the most used fuel in the country, with the expectation of lowering its price , expanding the use of biofuels and modifying a policy whose implementation had been pending for decades.

과테말라는 8월 22일부터 일반 휘발유에 E10 혼합 연료를 판매하기 시작할 것이라고 보도했다. E10은 휘발유 90%와 에탄올 10%를 혼합한 연료로, 정부는 이를 국내에서 가장 많이 사용되는 연료에 우선 적용하여 가격을 낮추고 바이오 연료 사용을 확대하며 수십 년 동안 시행이 지연되었던 정책을 수정할 계획이다.

The new blend will only be distributed at pumps that currently dispense regular gasoline. Premium gasoline will remain unchanged for now, a decision that altered the government’s initial plan, which envisioned incorporating ethanol into both types of fuel.

새로운 혼합 연료는 현재 일반 휘발유를 판매하는 주유소에서만 판매될 예정이며. 고급 휘발유는 당분간 변경되지 않을 예정인데, 이는 에탄올을 두 종류의 연료 모두에 혼합하려던 정부의 당초 계획을 변경한 것이다.
