Bible Reading - Proverbs 25:20~28

25:20 Like one who takes away a garment on a cold day, 추운 날에 옷을 벗는 사람과 같고,
or like vinegar poured on soda, 소다에 식초를 붓는 것과 같이,
is one who sings songs to a heavy heart.  무거운 마음에 노래를 부르는 사람도 있다.

25:21 If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat;  만일 너의 적이 배고프다면 그에게 먹을 음식을 주어라.

if he is thirsty, give him water to drink. 만일 그가 목마르다면 그에게 마실 물을 주어라.

25:22 In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the LORD will reward you.

이것을 함으로, 너는 그의 머리에 타는 숯불을 놓을 것이요, 주께서 너에게 상을 주실 것이다. 

25:23 As a north wind brings rain, so a sly(교활한) tongue brings angry looks.

북풍이 비를 가져오듯이, 교활한 혀는 화난 표정을 가져온다.

25:24 Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome(다툼을 좋아하는) wife.

다투기를 좋아하는 아내와 한 집에서 사는 것보다 지붕의 한쪽 구석에서 사는 것이 낫다.

25:25 Like cold water to a weary soul is good news from a distant land.

먼 땅에서 오는 좋은 소식은 피곤한(지친) 영혼에 냉수와 같다.

25:26 Like a muddied(진흙 묻은) spring or a polluted well is a righteous man who gives way to the wicked.

의로운 사람이 악인에게 굴복하는 것은 진흙이 묻은 샘이나 오염된 우물과 같다.

25:27 It is not good to eat too much honey,꿀을 너무 많이 먹는 것은 좋지 않으며 

nor is it honorable(명예로운) to seek one's own honor.자신의 명예를 추구하는 것도 명예로운 일이 아니다.

25:28 Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control.

성벽이 무너진 도시와 같이 자제력이 없는 사람도 있다.
