바람이 서늘할 때 하나님은 아담을 찾아오셔서 "네가 어디 있느냐"라고 질문하십니다. 이 말씀은 인간의 실존에 대한 도전이자 질문입니다. 나의 서 있는 자리는 어디이며, 어디서 오고 어디로 가는지, 왜 여기에 있는지에 대한 질문이자 해답입니다. 아담은 여호와의 낯을 피하여 나무사이에 숨었습니다. 그러나 하나님은 그런 아담의 부끄러운 모습을 굳이 찾아 내시고 부르십니다.

인간은 하나님의 질문에 대하여 대답할 수 밖에 없는 존재입니다. 그리고 하나님의 찾아오심은 징계하심을 위함이 아니라 도와주시기 위함입니다. 죄가 주는 불안과 두려움에 휩싸인 아담부부에게 삶의 길을 다시 열어주시고 하나님과의 막힌 관계를 해소하시기 위해 다가오신 다정한 부르심입니다. 하나님은 사랑으로 부르시고 인간은 두려움으로 그 앞에 서 있습니다.

성경은 구원의 이야기를 사람들에게 들려줌으로 믿음의 선배들의 시행착오를 반복하지 않게 하도록 인도하는 지침서입니다. 뿐만아니라 사람들을 위해 세우신 천국의 이정표를 보고 따라오도록 안내합니다. 그 이정표는 예수님의 십자가입니다. 오직 예수 이름만 구원의 길을 알려줍니다. 다른 이름은 효력이 없습니다.

가인은 부모의 실패를 보고 배웠어야 합니다. 그러나 그는 여전히 죄의 영향력을 이겨내지 못합니다. 죄를 다스리지 않으면 죄가 문앞에 엎드린다고 친히 말씀을 들었지만 아우를 죽이고 맙니다. 그런 가인에게 하나님은 긍휼로 다가오십니다. 그는 결코 회개하거나 죄를 고백하거나 사과하거나 하지 않았습니다. 그러나 죽음을 두려워하는 가인을 위해 표를 주십니다. 그것은 성령의 인치심은 아닙니다. 보호의 표입니다. 그러나 그 표를 통해 하나님의 긍휼하심과 자비의 사랑이 드러납니다.

뱀은 저주를 받아 흙을 먹는다고 하십니다. 이것은 상징적 언어입니다. 뱀은 사단의 상징이며 흙은 영이 없는 사람의 모습입니다. 악한 영들은 믿지 않는 자들의 마음을 거처로 삼을 것이라는 말입니다. 그러나 믿는 자의 심령에는 성령께서 거주하십니다. 어둠이 들어오지 못하게 지키십니다.

예수님을 영접하고 마음으로 믿고 입술로 고백한 사람의 마음에는 성령께서 함께 하십니다. 그리고 그 사람을 천국 길로 인도하는 장기 프로젝트가 시작됩니다. 하나 하나 가르치시고, 습관을 바꾸시고, 인격을 변화시켜 하나님의 자녀다운 사람으로 만들어 가십니다.

하나님은 지금도 숲속에 숨은 우리를 찾아 오십니다. 그리고 이름을 부르십니다. 모든 죄과와 슬픔과 분노와 저주가 십자가앞에서 해결되었으니 이제 그만 그 분앞으로 나오라고 하십니다. 모든 질병과 저주와 분노와 슬픔과 고통은 예수 이름앞에서 떠나가고 사랑과 평화와 행복과 번영이 우리의 길을 열며 기다립니다. 오직 예수 이름을 의지하고 담대히 보좌앞으로 나아갑니다. 믿음의 주요 온전케 하시는 이인 예수를 바라봅니다.

🌬️ When the wind was cool, God came looking for Adam and asked, “Where are you?”
This question is a challenge to human existence. It asks where we stand, where we come from, where we are going, and why we are here. Adam hid among the trees, away from the face of the Lord. Yet God sought him out and called to him, even in his shame.

👤 Humanity cannot help but respond to God's question. His coming is not to punish, but to help. To Adam and Eve, gripped by fear and anxiety from their sin, God opened the way to life again. He came to restore the broken relationship with a gentle call. God calls in love, while humans stand before Him in fear.

📖 The Bible is a guidebook that tells the story of salvation, helping us avoid repeating the mistakes of our forebears in faith. It also points to the signpost of heaven established for us—the cross of Jesus. Only the name of Jesus reveals the way to salvation. No other name holds power.

🧬 Cain should have learned from his parents’ failure. Yet he could not overcome the influence of sin. Though God warned him that sin crouches at the door if not mastered, Cain killed his brother. Even then, God approached Cain with mercy. Cain did not repent, confess, or apologize. But God gave him a mark—not the seal of the Holy Spirit, but a mark of protection. Through it, God's compassion and loving mercy were revealed.

🐍 The serpent was cursed to eat dust—a symbolic language. The serpent represents Satan, and dust symbolizes those without the Spirit. Evil spirits dwell in the hearts of unbelievers. But in the hearts of believers, the Holy Spirit resides, guarding them from darkness.

🙏 Those who receive Jesus, believe in their hearts, and confess with their mouths are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. A long-term project begins—teaching, transforming habits, and shaping character to become children of God.

🌲 Even now, God seeks us who hide in the forest. He calls our names. All sin, sorrow, anger, and curses were resolved at the cross. He invites us to come out and stand before Him. All disease, curse, anger, sorrow, and pain flee before the name of Jesus. Love, peace, joy, and prosperity await us. We boldly approach the throne, relying only on the name of Jesus. We fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.
