성경말씀: 로마서 1-2장

본문에서 “복음은 하나님이 선지자들을 통하여 그의 아들에 관하여 성경에 미리 약속하신 것이라. 그의 아들은 다윗 왕의 혈통에서 육신으로 나셨고, 죽음에서 부활하신 성결한 영의 능력으로 하나님의 아들로 선포되신 우리 주 예수 그리스도시라. 우리는 그를 통하여 그의 이름을 위하여 은혜로운 사도직을 받았으니 모든 이방인 중에서 부르시는 사람들을 순종하는 믿음에 이르게 하려 하심이라(1:2-5)” 하였듯, 선지자들을 통하여 미리 예언하고 기록하신 말씀에 따라 창조주 하나님께서 사람 예수로 세상에 오셨고, 육신의 죄악으로 반드시 죽어야 되는 사람들을 다시 살리시려고 육신의 죽음으로 죄와 사망의 권세를 깨뜨리고 부활하심으로 성경에 숨겨진 그리스도 복음의 진리를 명확하게 보여주고 가르치며 증거하셨습니다.

God the Creator, according to the words He had prophesied and recorded through the prophets, came to the world as Jesus, becoming a human being. He broke the power of sin and death through his physical death and was resurrected to clearly show, teach, and testify to the truth of the gospel hidden in the Bible, in order to give a new way of life to those who were destined to die due to their sins, as “The gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures, regarding his Son, who as to his human nature was a descendant of David, and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord. Through him and for his name’s sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith (1:2-5)”

그러므로 “하나님의 뜻으로 당신들에게 나아갈 길이 열리기를 내가 항상 기도하노라. 내가 당신들을 보고 신령한 은사를 나누어 주며 견고하게 하기를 간절히 원하노라. 내가 당신들을 격려하고 당신들은 나를 격려하며 우리 서로가 다른 사람에게 복이 되려 함이라. 사랑하는 형제들아 내가 다른 이방인들에게서와 같이 당신들도 열매를 맺게 하려고 여러 번 방문하려 하였으나 지금까지 길이 막혔음이라. 내가 헬라인이나 야만인이나 지혜자나 어리석은 자에게 다 빚진 자라(1:10-14)” 하였듯, 그리스도 복음의 진리를 전하며 임마누엘 하나님 성령 안에서 서로 돕고 협력하는 사랑의 열매를 맺어야 되는 사명이 모든 그리스도인에게 있습니다.

Therefore, all Christians have the mission to spread the truth of the gospel of Christ and bear the fruit of love by helping and cooperating with one another in the Holy Spirit of God, Emmanuel, as “I pray that now at last by God’s will the way may be opened for me to come to you. I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong—that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith. I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that I planned many times to come to you, but have been prevented from doing so until now, in order that I might have a harvest among you, just as I have had among the other Gentiles. I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish (1:10-14)”

그래서 “오직 의인은 믿음으로 말미암아 살리라 기록된 것처럼 믿음으로 시작하여 믿음으로 나타나는 하나님의 의라. 불경건하고 사악하게 진리를 가로막는 악인들에게 하나님의 진노가 하늘에서 나타나나니, 하나님께서 분명하게 말씀하셨고 하나님을 아는 지식을 모든 사람의 마음에 두셨음이라. 세상이 창조될 때부터 그의 보이지 않는 영원하신 능력과 신성이 그가 만드신 만물에 분명히 보이고 알려졌으니 사람들이 변명하지 못하리라(1:17-20)” 하였는데, 창조주 하나님께서 모든 사람에게 하나님의 형상으로 주신 양심을 일깨우고 감동시키는 성령의 은혜로 믿음을 갖게 되지만, 자신과 동행하시는 임마누엘 하나님을 믿고 신뢰하며 맡기고 죽기까지 순종해야 구원에 합당한 믿음이 완성되고, 그와 다른 믿음은 심판 받을 증거가 됩니다.

Therefore, faith is gaine3d through the grace of the Holy Spirit, who awakens and inspires the conscience that the Creator God has given to all people in His image. However, only by believing, trusting, and entrusting ourselves to God, Immanuel, who accompanies us, and obeying Him until death, can we attain faith worthy of salvation. Any faith that deviates from this standard becomes evidence of judgement, as “A righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: The righteous will live by faith. The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse (1:17-20)”

왜냐하면 “하나님께서 그들을 상실한 마음에 버려두어 합당하지 못한 일을 하게 하셨으니, 모든 불의, 추악, 탐욕, 악의, 시기, 살인, 분쟁, 사기, 악독이 가득하고 수군수군하며, 하나님을 미워하며 비방하고 능욕하며 교만하게 자랑하며 끊임없이 악행을 도모하고 부모를 거역하며, 분별없고 신의 없고 무정하며 무자비함이라. 그같은 일을 하는 자는 사형에 해당한다 하나님께서 정하심을 알고도 자기들만 행할 뿐 아니라 그런 일을 행하는 자들을 옳다 하느니라(1:28-32)” 하였듯, 사람의 마음에는 “하나님과 같이 되려는(창3:5)” 사탄의 유혹에서 온갖 죄악이 끊임없이 솟아나오므로, 행위로 옮겨지지 않았더라도 멸망과 지옥의 심판을 받을 죄가 되기 때문입니다.

Because, all kinds of sins constantly spring up in the human heart from Satan’s temptation to do as “Will be like God (Genesis3:5)” even if they are not put into action, they become sins that lead to destruction and the judgement of hell, as “God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them (1:28-32)”

그로 말미암아 “네가 남을 판단하면 변명하지 못하도록 스스로 자신을 정죄하는 것이니 남을 정죄하는 네가 똑같은 일을 행함이니라. 그런 일을 하는 자는 하나님의 진리를 따라 심판하시는 줄 우리가 아노라. 그런 일을 하는 자를 판단하며 똑같은 일을 행하는 사람일 뿐인 네가 하나님의 심판을 피하겠느냐, 하나님께서 풍성한 자비와 인자하심으로 너를 용납하고 회개로 인도하시며 오래 참으심을 알지 못하고 멸시하려느냐, 네가 완고하고 회개하지 않는 마음으로 하나님께서 계시하신 공의로운 심판의 날에 네게 나타날 진노를 쌓느니라(2:1-5)” 하였듯, 자신의 죄악은 전혀 보거나 깨닫지 못하면서 남의 죄는 너무나 잘 보고 정죄하는 악한 죄에 빠지기 때문입니다.

Because of this, they fall into the evil sin of not being able to see or realize their own sins at all, but seeing the sins of others too well and condemning them without hesitation, as “For at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgement do the same things. Now we know that God’s judgement against those who do such things is based on truth. So, when you, a mere man, pass judgement on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgement? Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness leads you toward repentance? But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgement will be revealed (2:1-5)”

그런 사람들의 육신적 성향을 너무나 잘 아시는 하나님께서, “율법 없이 범죄한 자는 율법 없이 망하고 율법이 있으며 범죄한 자는 율법으로 심판을 받으리라. 하나님 앞에서는 율법을 듣는 자가 의인이 아니고 율법을 지키는 자가 의롭다 하심을 얻음이라. 율법 없는 이방인이 본성으로 율법을 따라 지키면 그는 자기 자신이 율법이 되느니라. 그런 사람은 양심이 증거하므로 자신의 생각들이 서로 고발하거나 변명하며 마음에 새겨진 율법의 행위를 나타냄이라. 내가 전하는 복음과 같이 하나님이 예수 그리스도를 통하여 사람들의 은밀한 것을 심판하시는 날 그것이 이루어지리라(2:12-16)” 하였듯, 선하고 의로운 하나님의 형상을 모든 사람에게 양심으로 주셨고, 마지막 날에 각 사람의 양심의 증거를 따라 심판하십니다.

For God, who knows all too well the fleshly tendencies of such people, has given everyone the image of a good and righteous God as a conscience, and on the last day He will judge each person according to the testimony of his conscience, as “All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them. This will take place on the day when God will judge men’s secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares (2:12-16)”

그럼에도 불구하고 “율법의 교훈을 받아 하나님의 뜻과 지극히 선한 것을 알고, 맹인의 인도자와 어둠에 있는 자의 빛이며, 율법이 가진 지식과 진리의 모본이 되어 어리석은 자들과 어린이들의 선생이면서, 다른 사람을 가르치는 네가 자신은 가르치지 않고 도둑질하지 말라 선포하는 네가 도둑질하느냐, 간음하지 말라 말하는 네가 간음하고 우상을 가증히 여기는 네가 신전 물건을 도둑질하느냐, 율법을 자랑하는 네가 율법을 범하여 하나님을 욕되게 하느냐, 하나님의 이름이 너희 때문에 이방인 중에서 모독을 받는다 기록되었음이라(2:18-24)” 하였듯, 사람들은 구하고 찾고 두드리는 자에게만 주시는 복음의 진리를 찾지 않고 말씀에 겉으로 나타나는 의미에 얽매이는 그릇된 믿음에 빠지고 하나님의 이름을 모독하는 죄에 빠집니다.

Nevertheless, people do not seek the truth of the gospel, which is given only to those who ask, seek, and knock, but fall into a false belief that is bound to the outward meaning of the word, and fall into the sin of blaspheming God’s name, as “If you know his will and approve of what is superior because you ar4e instructed by the law; if you are convinced that you are a guide for the blind, a light for those who are in the dark, and instructor of the foolish, a teacher of infants, because you have in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth—you, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal? You who say that people should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who brag about the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law? As it is written: God’s name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you (2:18-24)”

왜냐하면 “율법을 지키면 할례가 유익하나 만일 율법을 범하면 무할례자와 똑같이 되느니라. 그러므로 무할례자가 율법의 규례를 따라 지키면 할례자와 같이 여겨지게 되고, 무할례자가 율법을 지키는 사람이 율법의 조문과 할례를 받고도 율법을 범하는 사람들을 정죄하리라. 표면적 유대인이 유대인이 아니고 육신의 할례가 할례가 아니며, 마음에 성령의 할례를 받은 이면적 유대인이 유대인이니 영에 있고 율법 조문에 있지 아니함이라 사람의 칭찬이 사람에게서 오지 않고 하나님에게서 오느니라(2:25-29)” 하였듯, 율법에 숨겨진 진리를 따라 지켜야 올바른 믿음이 되지만, 선택을 받았고 구원을 얻은 백성이라는 말씀에 현혹되어 성령의 할례를 받지 못하고 영적인 안목이 열리지 않기 때문입니다. 사랑하는 형제자매 여러분, 그러므로 말씀에 겉으로 나타나는 의미에 속지 말고, 말씀을 사랑하며 마음에 새기고 끊임없이 구하고 찾고 두드리며 마음 속에서 생각나는 말씀들을 잘 분별하여 하나님의 뜻에 합당하게 받아들여 믿고 신뢰하며 맡기고 의지하며 죽기까지 순종하여 임마누엘 하나님의 은혜와 선물을 얻어 구원과 영생에 이르기를 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 축복하며 기도합니다. 아멘.

Because, it is right to follow the truth hidden in the law, but because they are deceived by the outward meaning of the words that say they are a chosen and saved people, they do not receive the circumcision of the Holy Spirit and their spiritual eyes are not opened. “Circumcision has value if you observe the law, but if you break the law, you have become as though you had not been circumcised. If those who are not circumcised keep the law’s requirements, will they not be regarded as though they were circumcised? The one who is not circumcised physically and yet obeys the law will condemn you who, even though you have the written code and circumcision, are a lawbreaker. A man is not a Jew if he is only one outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man’s praise is not from men, but from God (2:25-29)” Dear brothers and sisters, therefore, do not be deceived by the outward meaning of the Word, but love the Word, engrave it in your heart, constantly seek, find, and knock, and by the grace of the Holy Spirit, discern the Word that comes to mind, accept it in accordance with God’s will, believe, trust, entrust, rely on, and obey until death, so that you may obtain the grace and gift of Immanuel God and attain salvation and eternal life.
