Scripture Reading: Romans 5~6

본문에서 “우리가 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 믿음으로 말미암아 의롭다 하심을 받았으니 하나님과 화평을 누리자. 그리스도로 말미암아 우리가 지금 믿음으로 서있는 은혜에 들어갔고 하나님의 영광을 바라고 즐거워함이라. 그 뿐만 아니라 우리가 환난에도 즐거워하나니 환난은 인내를, 인내는 연단을, 연단은 소망을 이루는 줄 앎이라. 소망이 우리를 실망시키지 않게 하시려고 우리에게 주신 성령으로 말미암아 우리 마음을 하나님의 사랑으로 채우심이라(5:1-5)” 하므로, 예수를 믿기만 하면 고난은 좀 있을지라도 구원을 얻는다 확신하게 됩니다.

Anyone, who believes in Jesus he will be assured of salvation, even if he suffer a little, as “Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us (5:1-5)”

그러나, “우리가 아직 연약할 때에 기약대로 그리스도께서 경건하지 않은 자를 위하여 죽으셨음이라. 의인을 위하여 죽는 자가 드물고 선인을 위하여 용감히 죽는 자가 혹 있으나, 아직 죄인이었던 우리를 위하여 그리스도께서 죽으심으로 우리에 대한 하나님의 사랑을 확증하셨음이라(5:6-8)” 증거하듯, 하나님께서 사람의 아들 예수로 세상에 오셔서 십자가에 죽었다가 다시 살아나야만 그리스도가 될 수 있었다면, 하나님 스스로 전지전능하심을 부정하게 되는데도, 왜 그렇게 해야만 했는지 복음에 숨겨진 진리를 알지 못하면 올바른 믿음이 되지 못하고 구원도 없습니다.

However, If God could only become the Savior by coming to the world as the Son of Man, Jesus, dying on the cross, and rising again, why did He have to do so, even though it meant denying God’s omnipotence? If we do not know the truth hidden in the gospel, we cannot have the right faith and there is no salvation, as “At just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us (5:6-8)”

그러므로 “이제 우리가 그의 피로 말미암아 의롭다 하심을 받았으니 그로 말미암아 하나님의 진노에서 얼마나 더 구원을 얻겠느냐, 우리가 원수 되었을 때에 그의 아들의 죽으심을 통하여 하나님과 화목하게 되었으니 화목하게 된 자들은 그의 살아나심으로 말미암아 얼마나 더 구원을 받겠느냐, 그 뿐만 아니라 우리를 화목하게 하신 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님 안에서 즐거워함이라(5:9-11)” 하였듯, 성경에 기록된 구원의 언약을 철저하게 지키며 이루시는 신실하신 하나님의 숨겨진 진리를 올바로 알아야 됩니다.

Therefore, we must correctly understand the hidden truth of the faithful God who thoroughly keeps and fulfills the covenant of salvation recorded in the Bible, as “Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him. For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life. Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation (5:9-11)”

그러므로 “한 사람으로 말미암아 죄가 세상에 들어오고 죄를 따라 사망이 들어왔으며 모든 사람이 죄인이므로 모든 사람에게 사망이 왔느니라. 율법 있기 전에도 죄가 세상에 있었지만 율법이 없었으므로 죄라는 것을 알지 못하였으나, 아담에서 모세까지 아담처럼 계명을 어기는 죄를 짓지 않은 사람에게도 사망이 왕 노릇하였으니 아담은 오실 자를 상징함이라(5:12-14)” 하였듯, 아담의 범죄나 그리스도의 구원이 창조 이전에 예정되었음을 알아야 합니다.

Therefore, we must know and believe that Adam’s sin and Christ’s salvation were established before creation, as “Just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way, death came to all men, because all sinned, for before the law was given, sin was in the world. But sin is not taken into account when there is no law. Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come (5:12-14)”

그러므로 “은사는 범죄한 한 사람으로 말미암아 정죄에 이르는 심판과 같지 않고 한 사람으로 말미암은 은사는 많은 죄가 있어도 의롭다 하심으로 데리고 가느니라. 한 사람의 범죄로 사망이 모든 사람에게 왕 노릇하였으니 한 분 예수 그리스도를 통한 은혜와 의의 선물을 넘치게 받는 자들은 생명 안에서 왕 노릇하리라. 그러므로 한 범죄로 많은 사람이 정죄에 이른 것처럼 한 의로운 행위로 많은 사람이 의롭다 하심을 받아 생명에 이르느니라. 한 사람이 순종하지 아니함으로 많은 사람이 죄인이 된 것처럼 한 사람이 순종하심으로 많은 사람이 의인이 됨이라(5:16-19)” 하였듯, 아담처럼 하나님을 거역하면 멸망의 심판을 받고, 예수처럼 하나님께 맡기고 죽기까지 순종해야 구원을 얻습니다.

Therefore, anyone who disobeys God’s will like Adam will be judged to destruction, and only those who surrender himself to God’s will like Jesus and obey until death will be saved, as “The gift of God is not like the result of the one man’s sin: The judgement followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man (5:16-19)”

그러므로 “죄에 대하여 죽은 우리가 어떻게 죄 가운데 살겠느냐, 우리가 그리스도와 연합하여 세례를 받은 것은 그의 죽으심과 연합하여 세례를 받은 우리가 죽었음을 알지 못하느냐, 죽은 자 가운데서 아버지의 영광으로 다시 살아나신 그리스도와 같이 우리도 새 생명으로 살아나게 하시려고 우리가 그의 죽으심과 연합하여 세례를 받아 그와 함께 묻혔음이라. 만일 우리가 그리스도의 죽으심과 같은 죽음에 연합하면 그의 부활에도 연합하게 되리라(6:1-5)” 하였듯, 그리스도의 십자가 죽음에 연합하여 죄의 유혹에서 자신을 지켜야만 임마누엘 하나님의 은혜로 구원을 얻어 부활하고 영생하게 됩니다.

Therefore, anyone who unites with Christ’s death on the cross and protects himself from the temptation of sin will be saved by the grace of God Emmanuel, and will be resurrected and receive eternal life, as “Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means. We died to sin, how can we live in it any longer? Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection (6:1-5)”

그래서 “우리의 옛 사람이 예수와 함께 십자가에 못박혀 죽은 것은 죄 많은 육신의 자아가 죽어 다시는 죄에게 종 노릇하지 않게 하려는 것임을 우리가 앎이라. 누구든지 죽으면 죄에서 자유롭게 됨이라. 만일 우리가 그리스도와 함께 죽었으면 그와 함께 살 줄도 믿음이라. 그리스도께서 죽은 자 가운데서 살아나셨으니 다시는 죽지 않고 사망이 다시는 그를 지배하지 못함을 우리가 앎이라. 그가 죄에 대하여 단번에 죽으셨고 이제는 하나님의 영광을 위하여 살아나셨으니, 그와 같이 너희도 자신을 죄에 대하여는 죽었고 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나님께 대하여 산 자가 되라(6:6-11)” 가르치는 것입니다.

So today, the Bible teaches us, as “For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin, because anyone who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once doe all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus (6:6-11)”

그러나 하나님께서 주신 자유의지로 말미암아 “죄가 너희 삶을 지배하지 못하게 하고 육신의 정욕에 굴복하지 말라. 너희 몸을 불의의 도구로 죄악에 내주지 말고 오직 너희 몸을 죽음에서 다시 살리시는 하나님의 공의와 영광을 위한 도구로 헌신하라. 너희가 율법 아래에 있지 않고 은혜 안에 있으면 죄가 너희를 주장하지 못하리라. 우리가 율법 아래에 있지 않고 은혜 안에 있으므로 죄를 짓겠느냐 결코 그럴 수 없느니라. 너희가 선택하고 순종하는 것이 너희 주인임을 모르느냐 죄의 종이 되어 사망에 이르거나 순종의 종이 되어 생명에 이르는 길을 너희가 선택할 수 있음이라(6:12-16)” 하였듯, 살아가면서 모든 일들을 심사숙고하며 하나님의 뜻을 올바로 찾아 순종하지 아니하면, 빛의 천사를 가장하는 사탄의 유혹으로 죄악에 빠지고 심판을 받습니다.

However, If we live in this world and do not carefully consider all things and correctly seek and obey God’s will, we will fall into the temptation of Satan, who disguises himself as an angel of light, within free-wills of our hearts from God, and will be judged, as “Do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means. What then? Shall we sin because we are under law but under grace? By no means. Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are Slaves to the one whom you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness (6:12-16)”

그러므로 “하나님께 감사하라 본래 죄의 종이었던 너희에게 맡겨진 교훈을 온 마음으로 순종하여, 죄에서 해방되고 의의 종이 되었음이라. 내가 사람의 입장에서 말하는데 연약한 육신으로 너희 몸을 부정과 불법에 내주고 종 노릇한 것처럼 이제는 너희 자신을 의에게 맡기고 거룩함에 이르라. 너희가 죄의 종이었을 때에는 의의 지배에서 자유로웠음이라. 그때 부끄러운 것에서 너희가 무슨 열매를 맺었느냐 결국에는 사망임이라. 그러나 이제는 너희가 죄에서 해방되고 하나님의 종이 되어 거룩함에 이르는 열매를 거두고 있으니 마지막은 영생이라. 죄의 삯은 사망이고 하나님의 은사는 우리 주 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 영생임이라(6:17-23)” 하였듯, 선택하여 부르신 하나님의 은혜에 감사하며, 찾아와 가르치는 성령의 진리를 믿고 신뢰하며 맡기고 의지하며 죽기까지 순종해야 최종적인 대속과 구원을 얻어 부활하고 영생하게 됩니다. 사랑하는 형제자매 여러분 모두 임마누엘 하나님께 맡기고 순종하며 화평하는 믿음으로 최종적인 대속과 구원을 얻어 부활하고 천국에 올라가 영생하게 되기를 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 축복하며 기도합니다. 아멘.

Therefore, we must be thankful for the grace of God who has chosen and called us, and we must correctly discern and accept the truth of the Holy Spirit who comes and teach us, believe in it, trust in it, entrust oneself to God, and obey it until death. Then, we will receive the final atonement and salvation, be resurrected, and live eternally, as “Thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. I put this in human terns because you are weak in your natural selves. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness. When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death. But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (6:17-23)” Dear brothers and sisters, I pray earnestly in the name of Jesus Christ that you may all entrust yourselves to God Immanuel, obey Him, and achieve peace through the right faith with God, and obtain redemption and salvation, be resurrected, and enter heaven to live forever. Amen.
