Only when we have eternal life can prayer be established.
" 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him." (1John 5:13-15)
The purpose of Apostle John's writing of these words is to let us know that there is eternal life. The purpose of the bible is to have life by believing in the name (John 20:31), and to let people know that those who believe in the name have eternal life. Of course, this faith is the faith that believes in the name of the Son of God. To have eternal life through faith in Christ Jesus is also the purpose of testifying the gospel. His name refers to his entire existence. If it is the gospel, it is the general term for the words about Jesus Christ, the Son of God. They talk about the gospel of the blood of Jesus, the gospel of the cross, etc., but the gospel contains blood, the cross, the Holy Spirit, the truth, righteousness, eternal life, the Son, the Savior, the Father, and all things.
In the world, we use the word chirashi news when it is not accurate news. I wonder if the words of the gospel that are being circulated all over the world right now are at the level of a chirashi made to br easily understood by a partial godpel. After preaching this contents of the gospel, they are shouting words such as approaching God intimately, praying, and loving God. It's like playing yo-yo in front of a baby.
When I was testifying this word to someone who had believed in Jesus and entered a seminary and studied for three years, I repeated the words " Christ is in you, and if He is in you, eternal life is in you" over several days. I have seen people rejoice when they receive God's light and say, "Now I know that I have been born again and have eternal life". The purpose of preaching the gospel is by hearing the Word and believing in Christ as Lord to receive eternal life, confirm the fact of being born again, and obtain righteousness and qualification as children of God. Therefore, prayer cannot be established unless we are in the state of faith in which we have obtained eternal life. It is because if there is no life of God, there is no connection with God. Prayer is basically moving toward God, but without the life of God, prayer itself cannot be establidhed. Without life, we cannot move forward by calling on the name of the Lord boldly in the Lord. Needless to say, the prayers of those who do not have eternal life are the prayers of the gentiles, their vain repetitions.
God hears the prayers of his children who are in Christ.
Common natural grace is God who heard Hagar's cry. The Creator God is same for Hagar and Sarah. However, Hagar's cry was heard by God (Gen.21:17 God), but the Lord drew near to Sarah and showed grace.(Gen.21:1 Lord) Many christians boast that answers to prayer are in common grace. They do not yet know the level of shame of the Gentiles who are outside of Christ.
The things in all things are equal grace to all, but the special grace in Christ is given only to those who have eternal life and have bold faith in God. In other words, God does not listen to the prayer of those who say "I am a sinner". Even if he did, it would be just like food or a house to live in, just as he treated Hagar. But He never turns away the prayers of those who say "Father, son", and know the list in the name of the Lord, and pray according to God's will. For all the gifts of God must be given together with his Son, Christ.(Rom.8:32)
Without the presence of the Holy Spirit, we cannot boldly call on the name within the Son, so we repeat in the prayers of the Gentiles only to see signs, see visions, or occasionally get what we want. However, those who have been united with Christ through the Holy Spirit and have gained eternal life must grasp the contents of the Lord's representative prayer (John 17) and we go to holiness with the truth and see glory through holiness and become one with glory and achieve perfection, we see brightly that we are becoming people of love. Therefore, knowing well what "prayer calling on the name of the Lord" is, as it is, "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved(Rom.10:13), whenever we call on the name of the Lord, we experience the work of Holy Spirit taking place within us.
And having known him in Christ, we must find ourselves in him and have eternal life, and then we must come to Father by gaining life and gaing it again according to the truth. What I am telling you now is a way that is more accurate than a mathematical formula. Praying on one's own will besides this way is still a wilderness and an old man outside of Christ, so God is speaking in various ways.(Hebrews 1:1)
It is absolute that only those who have eternal life can pray. And when we pray, God already knows what we are asking for. God knows what to seek in the name. Therefore, we must know exactly what we ought to ask for and pray for it. If so, you will know that you have obtained what you asked for (the Word). It means that we should know that we already have the Word we have sought. For the fulfilment of the Word we have, the Holy Spirit, water, and blood become one and work within us. After the word has been fulfilled in us, if we believe and speak, it will be fulfilled. This is the meaning of the Lord's true prayer, "Have faith in God"(Mark 11:22). Those who have ears must realize and call on the name of the Lord boldly, knowing that they can truly pray with eternal life in Christ. Hallelujah!
