고린도후서13장 말씀입니다.

1. 내가 이제 세 번째 너희에게 가려 하노라. 두세 증인의 입으로 모든 말이 확증되리라.

This [is] the third [time] I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

2. 내가 전에 너희에게 말하였고 또 너희와 함께 있는 것 같이 두 번째 미리 말하노라. 지금은 내가 떠나 있으나 지금까지

    죄를 지은 자들과 다른 모든 사람에게 쓰노니 내가 다시 가면 용서하지 아니하리라.

I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare:

3. 이는 그리스도께서 내 안에서 말씀하시는 증거를 너희가 구하기 때문이니라. 그분은 너희를 향하여 약하지 아니하시고

    오히려 너희 안에서 강하시니라.

Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you.

4. 그분께서 약하심을 통하여 십자가에 못 박히셨으나 오히려 [하나님]의 권능으로 말미암아 살아 계시며 우리도 그분

    안에서 약하나 너희를 향한 [하나님]의 권능으로 말미암아 그분과 함께 살리라.

For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you. 

5. 너희가 믿음 안에 있는지 너희 자신을 살펴보고 너희 자신을 입증하라. 예수 그리스도께서 너희 안에 계신 줄을 너희가

    스스로 알지 못하느냐? 그렇지 않으면 너희는 버림받은 자니라.

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

6. 그러나 우리가 버림받은 자가 아닌 것을 너희가 알기를 내가 바라고

But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.

7. 또 너희가 아무 악도 행하지 아니하기를 내가 이제 [하나님]께 기도하노니 그 목적은 우리가 인정받은 자로 나타나고자

    함이 아니요, 우리는 버림받은 자같이 될지라도 너희만은 정직한 것을 행하게 하려 함이라.

Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.

8. 우리는 진리를 대적하는 어떤 일도 할 수 없고 오직 진리를 위해서만 할 수 있노라.

For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

9. 우리가 약할 때에 너희가 강한 것을 우리가 기뻐하노라. 또한 우리는 이것 즉 너희의 완전함을 바라노라.

For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, [even] your perfection. 

10. 그러므로 내가 떠나 있을 때에 이것들을 쓰는 것은 [주]께서 무너뜨리지 말고 세우라고 내게 주신 권능에 따라 너희와

      함께 있을 때에 엄하게 대하지 아니하려 함이라.

Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.

11. 끝으로 형제들아, 잘 있으라. 완전하게 되며 위로를 받으며 한마음이 되며 평안히 지낼지어다. 사랑과 평강의

      [하나님]께서 너희와 함께 계시리라.

Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

12. 거룩한 입맞춤으로 서로 인사하라.

Greet one another with an holy kiss.

13. 모든 성도가 너희에게 문안하느니라.

All the saints salute you.

14. [주] 예수 그리스도의 은혜와 하나님의 사랑과 [성령]님의 교통하심이 너희 모두와 함께 있을지어다. 아멘.
