​A: Excuse me, I'm having trouble with the shower in my room. It's not working properly.
B: I'm sorry to hear that. Let me send someone up to take a look at it right away.
A: Thank you. However, we're heading out for dinner in a little while, so now is not the best time.
B: I understand. We can schedule the repair for later this evening. Would that be alright?
A: Yes, that would work perfectly. Please have them come up in a few hours.
​A: Hi, the shower in our room still isn't working.
B: I'm terribly sorry about that. Let me see if we can offer you an upgrade to another room.
A: Oh, that would be wonderful. Thank you./  B: It's our pleasure. I'll arrange for the upgrade right away.
A: Thank you for your prompt assistance.
​A: Look, honey, there's a note from the manager. It's an apology for the inconvenience with the shower./  B: That's nice of them.
A: And they've also sent us a fruit basket as a welcome gesture./  B: That's very thoughtful. Looks like things are looking up.
A: I'll say. Let's forget about the shower incident and enjoy our stay!//  ​A: Did I tell you about my hotel experience?
B: No, what happened?/  A: Well, the shower in our room wasn't working properly.
B: Oh no. I would've been really frustrated. Did they fix it?
A: Unfortunately, no. But they did give us an upgrade to a nicer room. Apart from that hiccup, everything else went fine.

A: No, that's when they offered us a better room and some treats as an apology./  B: That's not too bad at all. Oh, look at the time!
A: Right, time to get back to work already. I'll give you a juicier story later.
 

A: The concert is hit or miss./  B: How so?/  A: The band was great. The sound quality was poor.
A: What are the chances of rain tomorrow?/  B: It's fifty-fifty./  A: Maybe we should cancel./  B: Yeah.
A: Should we just go halfway up?/  B: No. It's all or nothing!/  A: OK. Fine./  B: You can do it!
A: Will he make it to the finals?/  B: I'm not sure. It could go either way./  A: I hope he does.
