더불어민주당은 윤석열 대통령 지지 집회에 참석해 "헌법재판소를 때려 부수자"고 말한 국민의힘 서천호 국회의원을 국회 윤리특별위원회에 제소하기로 했다.

The Democratic Party(DP) of Korea decided to file a complaint with the National Assembly's Special Committee on Ethics against Seo Cheon-ho, a member of the People Power Party(PPP), who attended a rally to support President Yoon Suk Yeol and said, "Let's smash the Constitutional Court."

민주당 김윤덕 사무총장은 3일 기자 간담회에서 "국가시스템을 부정하는 행위에 대해선 단호하게 대응해야 한다는 것이 민주당의 기본 입장"이라며 "윤리특위에 제소할 것"이라고 했다.

"The Democratic Party's basic position is that it should respond firmly to acts that deny the national system," the Democratic Party Secretary-General Kim Yoon-deok said at a press conference on the 3rd. "We will file a complaint with the Special Ethics Committee."

전현희 최고위원도 CBS라디오 <김현정의 뉴스쇼>에 출연해 "헌법기관을 때려 부수자는 건 내란죄 구성 요건에 부합하는 발언으로 제2의 내란을 선전, 선동하는 것"이라고 했다.

Supreme Council member Jeon Hyun-hee also appeared on CBS Radio's "Kim Hyun-jung's News Show" and said, "To smash the constitutional institution is to promote and instigate a second civil war with remarks that meet the constitutional requirements for the constitution of rebellion."

그러면서 "다수가 모인 집회에서 범죄자적 발언을 서슴지 않는 건 헌법을 무시하고 헌법을 파괴하려는 극우와 다름없다"고 했다.

"Not hesitating to make criminal remarks at a rally where a large number of people gather is like a far-right trying to destroy the Constitution in defiance of the Constitution," he said.

서천호 국회의원은 지난 1일 윤 대통령 탄핵에 반대하는 보수 집회에 참석해 "공수처, 선관위, 헌법재판소는 불법과 파행을 자행해왔다. 모두 때려 부숴야 한다. 쳐부수자"고 선동했다.

Seo attended a conservative rally against President Yoon's impeachment on Wednesday and instigated the public, saying, "The Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials(CIO), the Election Commission and the Constitutional Court have committed illegal acts and disruptions. We should smash them all. Let's smash them."

서천호 국회의원의 과격 발언이 논란이 되자 국민의힘 박수민 원내대변인은 "의원 개개인의 발언이 통일될 수는 없다"며 당 차원의 경고나 징계에 선을 그었다.

As lawmaker Seo Chun-ho's radical remarks became controversial, floor spokesman Park Soo-min drew a line on party-level warnings and disciplinary actions, saying, "The remarks of each lawmaker cannot be unified."

그러나 김종혁 전 최고위원은 SBS라디오 <김태현의 정치쇼>에 출연해 경찰대학장, 국가정보원 2차장을 지낸 서천호 의원의 이력을 언급하며 "체제를 가장 수호해야 될 입장에 계신 분"이라며 "헌법기관들을 다 때려부수자라고 얘기한 것은 도를 넘어도 너무 많이 넘은 것"이라고 했다.

However, former Supreme Council member Kim Jong-hyuk appeared on SBS Radio's "Kim Tae-hyun's Political Show" and mentioned Seo's history as the head of the National Police Agency and the second deputy chief of the National Intelligence Service, saying, "He is in a position to defend the system the most," adding, "It is too much to say that he is a loser of all constitutional institutions."

김종혁 전 최고위원은 거듭 "절대 해서는 안 되는 발언을 했다"며 "나중에 뒷감당을 어떻게 하려고 이러나 하는 생각"이라고 했다.

Former Supreme Council member Kim repeatedly said, "I made remarks that should never be made," and added, "I wonder how I'm going to handle the aftermath later."
