SEOUL, March 7 (Yonhap) -- The defense ministry said Friday a total of 29 people, including 15 civilians, have been injured from an accidental fighter jet bombing of a northern village earlier this week.

On Thursday, two KF-16 fighter jets "abnormally" dropped eight MK-82 bombs outside a training range in Pocheon, some 40 kilometers north of Seoul, leading to multiple injuries and damage to buildings.
​
As of Friday morning, 15 civilians and 14 service members had been injured from the bombing, including two civilians who were seriously injured, according to a ministry official.
​
Pilot error is suspected to have caused the accidental bombing as one of the pilots of the jets entered the wrong target coordinates prior to takeoff, according to another Air Force official, citing an initial probe.
​
An investigation is under way into the exact cause of the accident.

(포천=연합뉴스) 우영식 김도윤 심민규 기자 = 지난 6일 경기 포천시 이동면 노곡리에서 발생한 공군 전투기 폭탄 오발 사고 부상자가 당초 15명에서 17명으로 2명 늘었다.

늘어난 부상자 2명은 뒤늦게 입원하거나 치료를 받았으며 모두 큰 부상은 아닌 것으로 파악됐다.

부상자들은 수술이나 치료받고 건강을 회복 중이다.

7일 군 당국과 포천시 등에 따르면 폭탄 오발 사고로 다친 부상자는 모두 17명으로 이 중 9명이 병원 치료를 받고 있다. 8명은 치료를 받고 귀가했다.

입원한 부상자 중 응급수술을 받은 환자는 모두 4명이다.

의정부성모병원에서 치료 중인 환자는 목에 파편상을 당해 응급수술을 받고 현재 중환자실에서 회복 중이다.

국군수도병원에 입원한 민간인 2명도 응급수술을 받았다.

이 중 1명은 왼쪽 쇄골 골절상을 당해 수술을 받았고, 경상으로 분류된 1명도 간단한 수술을 받은 것으로 확인됐다.

또 우리병원에 입원한 외국인 근로자는 오른쪽 어깨가 파열되는 부상으로 봉합수술을 받았다.

수술받은 환자들은 모두 생명에 지장이 없는 것으로 알려졌다.

나머지 5명은 발목, 손목, 얼굴 열상 등의 부상으로 국군수도병원, 포천의료원, 우리병원 등에 입원 상태로 치료받고 있다.

포천시 관계자는 "뒤늦게 부상자 2명이 파악돼 부상자가 늘었다"며 "수술을 받는 등 비교적 부상 정도가 심한 환자들도 다행히 건강을 회복하고 있다"고 말했다.
