COLLEGE OF MUSIC (free event with no booking required)
Meeting and Venue Details: Meet Gordon on Wednesday 14 February,
between 6.20pm and 6.30pm, at South Kensington tube station
(District, Circle and Piccadilly Lines, Zone 1) opposite the ticket
office. We will then go to the Royal College of Music (RCM), Prince
Consort Road, SW7 2BS. If you are going independently, you may like
to look at http://tinyurl.com/36vwdj (RCM website) or http://tinyurl.com/3dg5le (streetmap).
The Programme: The concert starts at 7pm, and seating is on a first-
come, first-served basis on the night. However, entry is unlikely to
be a problem. We will hear an arrangement of Handel's Concerto
Grosso, Ricard Rodney Bennett's Concerto for Ten Brass Players and an
arrangement of Bernstein's Dance Episodes from On the Town. The
performers are members of RCM's Brass Ensemble and London Brass. You
can see more details at http://tinyurl.com/yp7ujm .
After the Concert: I suggest that those who wish to go for a drink
after the concert go to The Queens Arms, 30 Queens Gate Mews, SW7
5QL. I suggest you check the location in advance so that you will
have the option of making your own way there should you miss the main
group. To do so, please see the following website, and click
