성경말씀: 고린도 전서 10-11장

Scripture Reading: 1Corinthians 10~11

본문에서 “우리 조상들이 다 구름 아래에서 바다 가운데로 지났으며, 모세를 통하여 구름과 바다에서 다 세례를 받았고, 다 같이 신령한 음식을 먹었으며, 그들과 동행하는 신령한 반석에서 다 같이 신령한 물을 마셨으니 곧 그리스도시라. 그럼에도 불구하고 하나님께서 그들 대다수를 기뻐하지 아니하셨으므로 그들의 시체가 광야에 흩어졌느니라. 그런 일은 우리에게 본보기가 되어 우리들이 그들처럼 악에 마음을 두지 않게 하려 함이라(10:1-6)” 하였듯, 예수 그리스도의 세례는 반드시 죽게 될 죄인을 새로운 사람이 될 기회를 주시는 일차적 대속이고, 가르치며 인도하시는 하나님의 뜻을 올바로 알고 순종하지 못하면 멸망의 심판을 받습니다.

For the baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is the primary atonement that gives sinners who are destined for destruction the opportunity to be reborn as new people by faith. Therefore, if anyone do not properly understand the will of God who teaches, guides, and uses us and fail to obey until death, he will be judged to destruction, as “For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers and sisters, that our ancestors were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea. They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. They all ate the same spiritual food, and drank the same spiritual drink, for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and the rock was Christ. Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered in the wildness. Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did. (10:1-6)”

그러므로 “우상을 숭배하지 말라 백성이 앉아서 먹고 마시며 일어나서 뛰논다 기록되었음이라. 그들 중의 어떤 사람들이 음행하다가 하루에 이만삼천명이 죽었으니 우리는 그들과 같이 음행하지 말자. 그들 중에 어떤 사람들이 주를 시험하다가 뱀에게 멸망하였으니 우리는 그들처럼 시험하지 말자. 그들 중에 어떤 사람들은 원망하다가 멸망의 천사에게 죽임을 당하였으니 너희는 그들처럼 원망하지 말라. 그들에게 일어난 일들은 본보기가 되어 세대의 종말이 가까워지는 우리를 일깨우려고 기록되었음이라(10:7-11)” 하였듯, 그릇된 믿음으로 우상 숭배나 음행이나 하나님을 원망하거나 시험하는 죄에 빠지지 않아야 됩니다.

Therefore, we must not fall into the sin of worshipping idols, committing fornication, resenting or testing God with false faith, as “Do not be idolaters, as some of them were, as it is written. The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry. We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of the did, and in one day twenty-three thousand, of the died. We should not test Christ, as some of them did, and were killed by snakes. And do not grumble, as some of them did, and were killed by the destroying angel. These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come. (10:7-11)”

그러므로 “굳건하게 섰다 생각하는 자는 넘어질까 조심하라. 신실하신 하나님은 너희가 감당하지 못할 시험을 허락하지 않고 시험을 당할 때 피할 길을 내주어 설 수 있게 하시므로 사람이 감당할 시험 밖에는 너희가 당하지 않았느니라. 그러므로 내가 사랑하는 자들아 우상 숭배를 피하라. 내가 총명한 자들에게 말하나니 내가 하는 말을 너희 스스로 판단하라. 우리가 축복하는 잔은 그리스도의 피에 참여함이 아니고 우리가 떼는 빵은 그리스도의 몸에 참여함이 아니냐, 우리가 많을지라도 빵은 하나요 우리 모두가 하나의 빵에 참여하므로 우리가 한 몸이라(10:12-17)” 하였듯, 자신의 믿음을 과신하는 우상숭배에 빠지지 말고 서로서로 배려하고 협력하는 사랑으로 함 몸을 이뤄야 됩니다.

Therefore, we must not fall into idolatry, over confiding in our own faith or salvation by receiving the grace of the Holy Spirit, but must become one body through love, caring for an cooperating with one another, as “So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall. No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful, he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But When you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. Therefore, my dear friends, flee from idolatry. I speak to sensible people, judge for yourselves what I say. Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all share the one loaf. (10:12-17)”

그러므로 “너희가 불신자의 초청을 받아 갔으면 너희 앞에 차려진 것은 양심에 의문을 갖지 말고 무엇이든지 먹으라. 그러나 누구든지 제물이라 말하거든 알려준 자의 양심을 위하여 먹지 말라. 내가 너희의 양심을 말하는 것이 아니고 남의 것이니 나의 자유가 남의 양심으로 판단을 받지 않아야 함이라. 내가 하나님께 감사하는 마음으로 음식을 먹고 내가 감사한 일로 비방을 받겠느냐, 그러므로 먹든지 마시든지 무엇을 하든지 다 하나님의 영광을 위하여 하라. 유대인에게나 헬라인에게나 하나님의 교회에나 걸림돌이 되지 말라(10:27-32)” 하였듯, 불신자가 초청할지라도 하나님의 형상으로 주신 그 사람의 양심을 믿고 의심하지 말고 감사함으로 받아들이되, 다른 사람에게 걸림돌이 되지 않게 모든 일을 절제해야 되므로, “내가 그리스도를 본받아 따르듯 나를 본받으라. 모든 일에 나를 기억하며 내가 전한 가르침을 따라 지키는 너희를 칭찬하노라(11:1-2)” 하였듯, 그리스도의 겸손을 본받아야 합니다.

Therefore, even if and unbeliever invites you, you must accept him without question, trusting in the conscience of that person, given in the image of God. However, you must exercise restraint so as not to become a stumbling block to others, as “If an unbeliever invites you to a meal and you want to go, eat whatever is put before you without raising questions of conscience. But is someone says to you, This has been offered in sacrifice, then do not eat it, both for the sake of the one who told you and for the sake of conscience. I am referring to the other person’s conscience, not yours. For why is my freedom being judged by another’s conscience? If I take part in the meal with thankfulness, why am I denounced because of something I thank God for? So, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God. (10:27-32)” Therefore, we must all emulate Christ’s humility and services, as “Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ, I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the traditions just as I passed them on to you. (11:1-2)”

그러므로 “남자의 머리는 그리스도요 여자의 머리는 남자요 그리스도의 머리는 하나님이심을 너희가 알기 원하노라. 남자가 머리를 가리고 기도나 예언을 하면 그리스도를 욕되게 함이요. 여자가 머리를 가리지 않고 기도나 예언을 하면 머리를 깎은 것처럼 남편을 욕되게 함이라. 만일 여자가 머리를 가리지 아니하려면 머리를 깎고 깎거나 미는 것이 부끄러우면 가리라. 남자는 하나님의 형상과 영광이므로 마땅히 머리를 가리지 않지만 여자는 남자의 영광임이라(11:3-7)” 하신 것은, 단순히 남자와 여자를 뜻하지 않고, 사람의 마음에 있는 하나님의 형상인 양심과 사탄의 형상인 욕망을 뜻하며, 욕망이 결코 양심을 무시하거나 거역하지 않아야 믿음이라는 뜻입니다.

Therefore, this word does not refer to a physical man or woman, but to the conscience, the image of God and the greed, the tools of Satan, within the human heart. It means that faith is when the conscience is not trampled by greed, but rather conquered and ruled over it, as “I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, it is the same as having her head shaved. For if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off; but if it is disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head saved, then she could cover her head. A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. (11:3-7)”

그래서 “여자가 머리를 가리지 않고 하나님께 기도하는 것이 마땅한지 너희가 스스로 판단하라. 남자의 머리가 길면 부끄러운 것을 너희 본성이 가르치지 않느냐, 여자의 긴 머리가 가리는 것을 대신하여 주므로 자신에게 영광이 됨이라. 어느 누가 그 문제로 논쟁을 하려고 할지라도 우리나 하나님의 모든 교회에 그런 관습이 없음이라. 지시에 따른 너희 모임이 유익하지 못하고 도리어 해로우므로 내가 너희를 칭찬하지 아니하리라(11:13-17)” 하셨는데, 하나님께서 사람에게 ‘정복하고 다스리며 둘이 만나 한 몸을 이루라’ 하셨듯, 양심으로 욕망을 정복하고 다스리며 성령의 진리와 사랑으로 하나가 되고 벌거벗기듯 들추어내도 부끄러움이 없어야 진정 올바른 믿음이란 뜻입니다.

Therefore, just as God said to conquer and rule over, and to make the two become one body, faith means conquering and ruling over desires with conscie3nce, becoming one with the truth and love of the Holy Spirit, and being free from any blemishes even when exposed as if stripped naked, as “Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him, but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering. If anyone want to be contentious about this, we have no other practice, nor do the churches of God. In the following directives I have no praise for you, for your meetings do more harm than good. (11:13-17)”

그러므로 “내가 주께 받은 것을 너희에게 전하였으니 주 예수께서 배반당하시던 밤에 빵을 들어, 감축하시고 떼어 주시며 이것은 너희를 위한 내 몸이니 이것을 행하여 나를 기념하라 하시고, 식후에 또한 잔을 들어 감축하시고 이 잔은 내 피로 세운 새 언약이니 이것을 행하며 마실 때마다 나를 기념하라 하셨으니, 너희가 이 빵을 먹고 이 잔을 마실 때마다 그가 오실 때까지 주의 죽으심을 전하는 것이라. 그러므로 누구든지 주의 빵이나 잔을 합당하지 않게 먹고 마시면 주의 몸과 피에 죄를 범하는 것이라(11:23-27)” 하였듯, 성경 말씀의 외면적 의미를 따라 지키는 형식적인 성찬 행사에 만족하는 그릇된 믿음에 빠지지 말고, 생명의 말씀 하나님 예수께서 십자가에 달려 “엘리, 엘리, 라마 사박다니” 부르짖어야만 했고, “나의 영혼을 아버지께 맡기나이다” 간구하고 죽으신 비밀과 진리를 올바로 알고 따라 지켜야 올바른 믿음이 됩니다.

Therefore, we must not fall into the false belief of being satisfied with observing the sacrament according to the outward meaning of the bible, as “For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you. The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, ‘This is my body, which is for you; do this remembrance of me. In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me. For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. So then, whoever eats the bread or drink the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. (11:23-27)” Instead, it is the right faith to correctly understand and follow the secret of why Jesus, hanging on the cross, cried out, “Eli, Eli, Lama, Sabachthani. (Matthew27:46)” and why he prayed to God the heavenly Father and died, as “Father into your hands I commit my Spirit. (Luke23:46)”

그래야만, “사람이 자기를 살펴본 후에 빵을 먹고 잔을 마시라. 주의 몸을 분별하지 못하고 먹고 마시면 자기의 죄를 먹고 마시는 것임이라. 그러므로 너희 중에 약하고 병들고 잠자는 자가 많으니라. 우리가 스스로 심판하면 우리는 심판을 받지 아니하나니, 우리가 심판을 받으면 우리가 세상과 함께 정죄를 받지 않게 하려고 주께 징계를 받는 것임이라. 그러므로 내 형제들아 너희가 성찬으로 모일 때에 서로 기다리라. 누구든지 배고프면 집에서 먹고 너희 모임이 심판을 받지 않게 하라 내가 갈 때에 자세히 이르리라(11:28-34)” 하셨듯, 그리스도의 대속과 구원을 얻어 부활하고 천국에 올라가 영생하게 됩니다. 사랑하는 성도 여러분 모두모두 복음의 진리를 올바로 알고 성령의 세례를 넘어 임마누엘 하나님께 맡기고 죽기까지 순종하여 구원과 영생 얻기를 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 축복하며 기도합니다. 아멘.

Therefore, anyone who correctly knows, trusts, and follows the secret hidden in the Christ’s death and resurrection on the cross and dies will receive redemption and salvation in Christ Jesus, and resurrected, and ascend to heaven to live forever, as “Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup. For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ eat and drink judgement on themselves. That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep. But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgement. Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world. So then, my brothers and sisters, when you gather to eat, you should all eat together. Anyone who is hungry should eat something at home, so that when you eat together it may not result in judgement. And when I come I will give further directions. (11:28-34)” Dear saints, I pray earnestly in the name of Jesus Christ that you all correctly understand the truth of the gospel, do not satisfied with the baptism of the Holy Spirit, but entrusted yourselves to God Immanuel and obeying him until death, thus obtaining salvation and eternal life in the heaven of God forever. Amen.
