become the victims of drunk driving.

when these crackdowns occur.

They may have their license suspended or revoked,

depending on how high their blood alcohol level is.

They also have to pay heavy fines.

Drivers can also be punished for rufusing to take

a breathalyzer test.

Even a passenger can be punished for aiding and abetting

a drunk driver.

Drunk driving is a serious crime that can claim

the lives of others.

In addition to never drinking and driving ourselves,

we should also stop others from doing it.

음주 운전에 대해서 이야기해 주세요.

음주 운전에 대한 규정과 처벌은 꾸준히 강화되어 왔다.

그럼에도 불구하고, 음주운전 때문에 선량한 사람들이

Talk about drunk driving.
The policy and punishment on the drunk driving have grown up.
Even so, because of the DUI, the accidents which innocent
people become victims still have happened.​

In Korea, DUI crackdown is done at any place randomly.
When this crackdown is implemented, many of drunked drivers
are caught on site. According to the blood alcohol level,
they many have their lincence suspended and revoked.
Also, they have to pay the a lot of fine.
In case of refusing the test, the punishment can be implemented.
Furthermore, the person next to the driver can be punished
with aid and abet.​

Drunk driving is severe crime which could take someone's life.
You mush stop to drive in drunk not only yourself but anyone.

음주운전은 본인이나 타인의 안녕과 생명을 위협하는 

아주 중대한 범죄인데요.

먼저 /Study Group Question/을 볼까요?

1. What do you think is an appropriate punishment 

   for drunk driving?

음주운전에 적절한 처벌이 있을 수 있을까요? 면허정지나 

취소 수준으로 끝내기엔 피해가 너무 심각하죠. 

아예 금지를 시켜야 하는 것 아닐까요? 타인을 배려하는 

마음이 없으니 몇년간 징역이나 사회봉사 등을 시켜야 

하는 건 아닌지 모르겠습니다.

2. Describe what you would do if a friend of yours 

   was trying to drive after drinking.

이런 이런, 그런 친구가 있다는 것 자체가 문제일 것 

같은데요? 그런 사람이랑은 같이 술마시면 안될 것 

같습니다. 그런 인성을 가진 사람과 친구관계라는 것도 

부끄러울 것 같습니다.

그럼에도 불구하고 그런 친구가 있다면, 반드시

여섯명인가의 생명을 앗아간 슬픈 사건이 생각 나네요.

음주운전은 절대 하면 안되겠습니다.

어떤 내용들이 있는지 보겠습니다.

음주운전 규정, 처벌이 계속 강화되고 있지만 여전히 

음주운전 때문에 피해자가 발생하고 있다는 것.

적발된다는 내용. 혈중 알콜 농도에 따라 면허 정지, 취소 

조치되고 벌금도 내야하고, 음주 측정을 거부하는 경우나 

동승자도 처벌가능하다는 얘기 들이 있습니다.​
