DEGREASING SPECIFICATION This specification can be applied to all types of structured packing. 1. The packing shall be degreased with a solution of 1% min of OAKITE/NPRO CLEAN2000 at a temperature of 65℃±5℃ for 10 minutes. The temperature shall be measured on the outlet side just where it leaves the packing. 2. If the packing is still oily, as determined by visual inspection of the solution in the tank (oil layer around edges of the tank or oil layer in the sample), the solution will be drained and tank recharged with a fresh solution and the packing shall be recleaned. 3. If the packing has been degreased properly, the packing will be flushed with a demineralized water rinse by the immersion in the three following tanks placed in sequence, 10 minutes for each on. During this period do not allow the liquid flow to stop and the oil to settle back onto metal surface. Drain the degreasing solution and move the water rinse from each tank to the previous tank and at the end fill the last tank with new clean water. 4. After the third rinse, verify that the packings are free from degreasing solution and then dry it completely before packing and shipping. To verify the correct degreasing of packings, use the specific portable UV-light(BLACK LIGHT) in a area without light. ◈ additional considerations 1. Make sure than any water used is demineralized and low in iron. 2. Higher temperature of 60℃ improves removal of the oil film. Measure temperature at the solution return, nothing else is meaningful. 3. The concentration of the degreasing solution is not critical. A 1% min. concentration of OAKITE/NPRO CLEAN2000 to help break the surface tension and loosen the oil from the metal is acceptable. 4. A continuous movement of the flock that forms as the oil is saponified helps keep the oil from laying back down on the metal surface and allows the solution to be flushed. 5. Once completed the third rinse, verify the completely removing of all the flocks and degreasing solution before drying. During the inspection by the BLACK LITE, verify all side of each piece of packing and if some stains will be found, repeat the degreasing procedure after substituting the degreasing solution in the first tank. 이제 보니 문장이 꽤 길군요...
