5. 모든 존재의 최후 목적은 하나님의 사랑

오늘날 인간의 욕망이라는 것은 전부 파당적입니다. 경제학자는 경제, 지식인은 학문, 정치하는 사람은 권력, 혹은 세상의 자기 욕망, 집안 문중, 역사적 배경, 환경적 요건 등등 아주 다양한 환경에 끌려가지고 전부 작용을 하고 있습니다. 그건 그것으로 끝나고 마는 것입니다. 사람이 욕망을 갖고 있지만 여기에서 근본 문제가 벌어지고 있습니다. 자기가 주체입니다. 내가 주체가 되어서 ‘너도 나한테 들어와 붙어라.’라고 하고 있습니다.

오늘날 세계 인류의 병폐가 무엇이냐 하면 돈이 없어서 병폐가 아닙니다. 지식이 없어서 병폐가 아니요, 무슨 사회조직의 주권이 없어서 병폐가 아닙니다. 자기를 중심삼고 끌어 붙이려고 하는 것이 병폐입니다.

개인 개인을 주장하면 플러스 마이너스 이상 형성의 기반이 한꺼번에 완전히 무너진다는 것입니다. 작용은 작용대로 하고 자체 완성을 하면서 그것이 또 하나의 주체 대상의 관계로 연결될 수 있는 길로 가야 됩니다.

모든 존재물은 자기를 중심삼고 하나되자고 하면 멈춰 버리게 됩니다. 이 안에 들어가자고 하면 멈춰 버립니다. 맞서 버립니다. 여기에선 대우주 형성이 불가능한 것입니다.

그러므로 신이 있다면 신은 어떤 생각을 해야 되느냐? 이것을 연결시키기 위해서는 언제나 위하라고 할 것입니다. 위하는 행로를 가야 한다는 것을 발견해야 하는 것입니다.

모든 존재는 더 큰 목적을 위해서 있습니다. 개인은 가정 목적을 위하여, 가정은 종족 목적을 위하여, 종족은 국가 목적을 위하여, 국가는 세계의 목적을 위하여, 세계는 영계가 있으면 하늘땅의 목적을 위하여, 하늘땅은 하나님의 목적을 위하여 전진해야 되는 것입니다.

하나님의 목적 그 자체는 무엇이냐 하면 하나님의 사랑의 목적인 것입니다. 전부 사랑의 진로가 있습니다. 하나의 세포에서부터, 미생물이면 미생물에서부터 전부가 하나의 지류와 같이 되어서 골수로 흘러가 대강을 이루고 대해로 연결될 수 있는 위대한 사랑의 흐름이 있습니다.

이 흐름의 원칙과 내용을 공인하지 않고는 대해로 갈 수 없는 것입니다. 이런 내용을 일찍이 알았기 때문에 우주를 새로이 혁명해야 되겠다는 것입니다. 대혁명이 벌어질 것입니다.

효자는 반드시 고생의 길을 통합니다. 수난길을 통하는 데는 그 수난과 고생을 초월하여 가치적 내용으로 소화시켜 어떤 자극적인 힘의 원천이 있어야 합니다. 이것을 부과할 수 있는 그 주체는 사랑입니다. 아무리 유명한 학자님들도 이것을 부정할 수 없을 것입니다.

애국자는 누구입니까? 마찬가지 이치입니다. 나라를 위하여 국민을 사랑하고 주권자를 사랑하는 데 있어서 이 우주 원칙의 사랑의 요소와 일치화할 수 있는 화합된 실체로서 국민을 품는 사람입니다. 그 백성을 품더라도 사랑하는 데서는 두드리면 두드려도 좋고, 머리를 때려도 좋다는 것입니다.

여러분! 성인이 어떤 사람입니까? 나라마다 애국자가 많습니다. 나라마다 위인이 많습니다. 그러면 성인과 애국자와 위인이 무엇이 다릅니까? 성인이라는 것은 하늘을 모시고 인류를 사랑한 사람을 말합니다.

인류를 사랑하는 데 있어서 천지의 대도와 일치하는 길을 접근시킬 수 있는 기수의 입장에 선 사람이 성인입니다. 성인으로 끝나는 것이 아닙니다. 그다음엔 천자가 되어야 합니다. 천자의 길은 무엇입니까? 하나님과 인류의 수난길을 수습해서 사랑의 목적을 결착시킬 수 있는 사람이라야 천자, 즉 하나님의 아들이라고 할 수 있는 것입니다.

통일교회는 무엇을 주장하는 것입니까? 나를 중심삼고 우주의 사랑의 본연의 길에 순응할 수 있는 길로 들어가서 내가 있는 것은 부모를 위하고, 자녀를 위하고, 민족·국가·세계를 위해서라는 것입니다. 이렇게 더 높은 사랑의 단계로 발전하는 것입니다.

그래서 나중에 하나밖에 없는 하나님의 사랑을 점령할 수 있다고 보는 것입니다. 이런 세계를 생각하게 될 때에 이런 사상으로만 통일할 수 있다는 것입니다. 그 자리에 나가면 하나되게 됩니다.

여러분의 몸 마음이 폭발될 수 있는 것인데 이 작용이 잘 안 됩니다. 그것은 타락했기 때문입니다. 인간이 고장 났기 때문입니다. 그래서 실존철학에서 말하는 극한상황을 어떻게 극복하느냐 하는 것이 문제입니다. 그것을 사랑으로 극복해야 됩니다.

오늘의 지성인과 종교라는 주제를 놓고 현재의 입장에서 여러분이 생각해야 할 것은 무엇입니까? 사랑을 필요로 하는 사람은 아무리 잘난 학박사, 세계 정치가, 혹은 아무리 성인이라 하더라도 하나님을 믿는 종교를 벗어날 수 없다는 결론이 나옵니다. 그 사랑이 필요치 않으면 종교의 길, 하나님을 찾아가는 길을 무시해도 좋습니다.

그래서 여러분께서 오늘 이 자리에 오셨으니, 본인의 말을 한번 참고해서 여러분 생활에 있어서, 혹은 사회에 있어서 인륜도덕, 각 분야에 이러한 내용을 적용할 때 대한민국과 세계는 새로운 차원의 발전 기준, 이상과 행복의 기준이 확산될 것이 아니냐 하는 생각을 합니다. 그런 의미에서 잠깐 말씀을 드렸습니다. 감사합니다.

5. すべての存在の最後の目的は神様の愛

今日、人間の欲望というものは、すべて党派的です。経済学者は経済、知識人は学問、政治家は権力、あるいは世の中の自分の欲望、家門、歴史的背景、環境的要件などなど、とても多様な環境に引っ張られて党派的に作用しています。

それは、それ自体で終わってしまうのです。人は欲望をもっていますが、ここから根本問題が生まれています。自分が主体だからです。自分が主体になって、「お前も私のところにきて、私に従いなさい」と言っています。
 
今日、世界人類の弊害は何ですか。お金がないことが弊害なのではありません。知識がないことが弊害なのではなく、何かの社会組織の主権がないことが弊害なのではありません。自分を中心として引っ張って、自分に従わせようとすることが弊害です。

個人個人がすべて自分を主張すれば、プラス・マイナス理想の形成基盤が、一度に完全に崩れるというのです。作用は作用どおりに行い、自らを完成させながら、それがもう一つの主体と対象の関係に連結される道に行かなければなりません。

 すべての存在物が自分を中心として一つになろうといえば、止まってしまうことになります。この中に入ろうといえば止まってしまいます。ぶつかってしまいます。ここでは、大宇宙の形成は不可能なのです。ですから、神様がいるならば、神様はどのような考えをもたなければならないのでしょうか。これを連結させるためには、いつも「ために生きなさい」というでしょう。ために生きる行路を行かなければならないというのです。
 
すべての存在は、より大きな目的のためにあります。個人は家庭の目的のために、家庭は氏族の目的のために、氏族は国家の目的のために、国家は世界の目的のために、世界は霊界があれば天地の目的のために、天地は神様の目的のために前進しなければならないのです。神様の目的それ自体は何かというと、愛の目的です。

すべて愛の進路があります。一つの細胞から、微生物なら微生物から、すべてが一つの支流のようになって、本流に流れて大河を形成し、大海に連結される偉大な愛の流れがあります。この流れの原則と内容を公認しなければ、大海に行くことができないのです。このような内容を先に知ったので、すべてを新しく革命しなければならないというのです。大革命が起こるでしょう。
 
孝子は必ず苦労の道を通ります。受難の道を通るには、その受難と苦労を超越して、価値のある内容に消化させていくことができる、ある刺激的な力の源泉がなければなりません。これを付加できる、その主体は愛です。有名な学者の先生方も、これを否定できないでしょう。
 
愛国者とは誰ですか。同じ理屈です。国のために国民を愛し、主権者を愛するときに、この宇宙の原則の愛の要素と一致化できる和合の実体として、国を抱く人です。その民を愛で抱くところでは、頭をたたかれてもうれしいというのです。
 
皆様。聖人とはどのような人ですか。国ごとに愛国者が大勢います。国ごとに偉人が大勢います。それでは、聖人と愛国者と偉人とは、何が異なるのですか。聖人というものは、天に侍り、人類を愛した人を言います。人類を愛するとき、天地の大道と一致する道に接近させる旗手の立場に立った人が聖人です。

聖人で終わるのではありません。その次には、天子（聖子）にならなければなりません。天子の道とは何ですか。神様と人類の受難の道を収拾して、愛の目的を決着させることができる人こそ天子、すなわち神様の息子だということができるのです。
 
統一教会は何を主張するのですか。「私」を中心として、宇宙の愛の本然の道に順応できる道に入って、私がいるのは父母のためであり、子女のためであり、民族、国家、世界のためにいるというものです。このように、より高い愛の段階に発展することです。それで、最後には一つしかない神様の愛を占領できると見るのです。
 
このように見るときに、このような思想でのみ統一できるというのです。その位置に進めば、一つになるようになります。しかし、皆様の心と体は、この作用がうまくできません。それは、堕落して人間が故障したからです。それで、実存哲学で言う「極限状況」をいかに克服するかということが問題です。それを愛で克服しなければなりません。
 
「今日の知識人と宗教」という主題について、現在の立場で皆様が考えるべきことは何でしょうか。愛を必要とする人は、いくら優秀な学者や博士、世界の政治家、あるいはいくら聖人だとしても、神様を信じる宗教から抜け出すことはできないという結論が出てきます。その愛が必要でなければ、宗教の道、神様を求める道を無視してもよいのです。
 
それで、皆様がきょう、この場に来られたので、私の話を一度参考にして、皆様の生活において、あるいは社会において、人倫や道徳、各分野にこのような内容を適用すれば、大韓民国と世界は新しい次元の発展基準、理想と幸福の基準が拡大するのではないかと思います。そのような意味で、少しの間お話しいたしました。ありがとうございました。

5. The ultimate purpose of all beings is God’s love

Today, the desires of human beings are fragmented. The economist is interested in the economy, the intellectual craves knowledge, the politician wants power.

The desires of each individual, of families, of clans, all have their circumstances connected with the past, yet they are pulled around according to the situation. People are doing things, but everything falls short. That’s because human desire has a fundamental problem: everyone demands to be the subject partner. Each person is saying, “I am the subject partner, and so you have to attach yourself to me.”

What is the malady affecting humankind today? Having no money is not the malady. Lack of knowledge is not the malady. A particular social group lacking sovereign power is not the malady. Rather, the malady is trying to draw everything to oneself.

When every individual insists on his or her own opinion, the basis for the plus-minus ideal is nullified. Human beings have to move according to the right action. Action has to perfect itself and proceed in a way that can lead to engagement in another subject partner-object partner relationship.

If every existence tries to center on itself, it will cease existing. If it revolves only inside this cramped space, it will cease existing. It confronts itself. The formation of the great universe becomes impossible. If God exists, what would God think? He would say in order for each existence to connect to the universe and continue living, it needs to live for others. Everything has to go along the path of living for others.

Every existence is designed to live for a greater purpose. The individual can advance forward by living for the family purpose, the family for the purpose of the tribe, the tribe for the purpose of the nation, the nation for the purpose of the world, and, if there is a spirit world, the world for the purpose of heaven and earth, and heaven and earth for the purpose of God. If we ask what God’s purpose is, the answer is that God’s purpose is love. Everything is on the path of love.

There is a flow of love, and everything, beginning from single cells and microorganisms, is like a tributary that flows to become a great river that’s connected to the ocean. Unless the rule and content of this flow accord with natural law, it cannot go into the ocean. Because I realized all this from a young age, I knew we had to have a new revolution. And this great revolution is taking place now.

A child of filial piety has to walk the path of suffering. When he or she follows this path, there has to be some stimulating source of power by which he or she can overcome and digest all the valuable contents of the ordeals and suffering. The subject partner that can take responsibility for this is love. Even distinguished scholars cannot deny this.

What is a patriot? A patriot follows the same principle. When it comes to loving the citizens and the leader of his or her country, a patriot is a person who can unite the elements of the principle of love of the universe, embracing the citizens. When he or she embraces the citizens with love, they are happy even if they are roughed up a bit.

Ladies and gentlemen, what kind of person is a saint? There are many patriots in each country. There are many great people in each country. So what is the difference between a saint and a patriot or great person? A saint is someone who loves all humankind, attending God. When it comes to loving humankind, a saint takes the position of a standard-bearer.

He or she leads others to the path that is in accord with the great way of the universe. A saint’s life doesn’t end there. Next, he or she has to become a son or daughter of Heaven. What is the path of a son or daughter of Heaven? It is the path to sort out the suffering of God and humankind and achieve the purpose of love.

What, then, is it that the Unification Church asserts? Each of you must walk the path that follows the way of the original love of the universe and then pour out all you have for your parents, your children, your tribe, your nation and the world. You have to develop a higher level of love like this. And in the end, all that is left is to occupy God’s love.

Seen in this light, it is only through love that unity is possible. When you go to that place of love, you become one with your object partner of love. However, when you center such action on your own mind and body, it usually does not work very well. This is because of the Fall, which put human beings out of order. Existential philosophy discusses extreme alienation and anxiety, and the question is how we can overcome that. We have to overcome it with love.

Our theme today is, “Today’s Intellectuals and Religion.” In your position, then, what do you need to think about? No matter how great a scholar you are, no matter what kind of world-level politician or saint you may be, as a person who needs love, you cannot escape the conclusion that you need a religion that believes in God. If you don’t need love, it is all right to ignore the way of religion and the way of seeking for God.

You came here today, and if you consider my words and apply them to your life, or to ethics and morality in society, or to each of your fields of work, I believe that a new standard of ideals and happiness will expand to the Republic of Korea and the world. It is with this in mind that I have briefly spoken to you today. Thank you very much.
