성경말씀: 고린도 후서 4~6장

Scripture Reading: 2Corithians 4~6

본문에서 “하나님의 긍휼로 이 사역을 맡은 우리는 낙심하지 않고, 오히려 은밀하고 부끄러운 일을 버리고 속이지 않고 하나님의 말씀을 왜곡하지 않고 진리를 명확하게 밝히며 하나님 앞에서 모든 사람의 양심에 우리 자신을 추천하노라. 만일 우리의 복음이 가려졌으면 멸망할 자들이므로 가려졌느니라. 이 세상 신이 믿지 않는 자들의 마음의 눈을 멀게하여 그리스도의 영광과 복음의 빛을 보지 못하게 하였음이나 그리스도는 하나님의 형상이니라. 우리는 우리를 전파하지 않고 오직 구주 예수 그리스도를 전하기 위하여 우리가 너희의 종이 되었음을 전하노라(4:1-5)” 하였듯, 임마누엘 하나님과 동행하며 순종하는 자만 하나님의 진리를 올바로 전하며 섬기는 사랑으로 헌신하게 됩니다.

Whoever, only those who walk with and obey God, Emmanuel, can accurately convey God’s true will and serves the people with devotional loves, as “Since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled. It is veiled to those who are perishing. The God of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. (4:1-5)”

그래서 “어둠 속에 빛이 있으라 말씀하신 하나님께서 예수 그리스도의 얼굴에 있는 하나님의 영광을 아는 빛을 우리 마음에 비추셨음이라. 우리가 이 보배를 질그릇에 가졌으니 그 지극히 뛰어난 능력이 우리에게 있지 않고 하나님께 있음을 나타내려 함이라. 우리가 사방으로 짓눌려도 깨어지지 않고 당혹스러운 일을 당해도 낙심하지 아니하며, 핍박을 받아도 버림받지 않고 무너뜨림을 당하여도 파멸되지 아니하며, 예수의 죽음을 우리 몸에 항상 짊어짐은 예수의 생명이 우리 몸에 나타나게 하려 함이라. 살아 있는 우리가 예수를 위하여 항상 죽음에 넘겨짐은 예수의 생명이 우리의 죽을 육체에 나타나게 하려 함이라(4:6-11)” 가르치며 증거합니다.

That is why, the Scripture of today witness it and teaches it to us, as “For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness, made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed, perplexed, but not in despair. Persecuted, but abandoned, struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body. (4:6-11)”

그러므로 주님의 가르침을 따라 자기를 부인하고 자기 십자가를 지고 순종해야만, “우리 주 예수를 죽음에서 살리신 이가 예수와 함께 우리도 다시 살리사 너희와 함께 그 앞에 세우실 줄을 앎이라. 모든 것이 너희를 위함이니 은혜가 점점 더 많은 사람에게 미치고 넘치는 감사로 하나님께 영광을 돌리게 하려 함이라. 비록 우리의 겉사람은 낡아지지만 속사람은 날로 새로워지므로 우리가 낙심하지 아니하노라. 우리가 잠시 겪는 가벼운 모든 환난이 우리에게 지극히 크고 영원한 영광을 이루게 함이라. 보이는 것은 일시적이고 보이지 않는 것은 영원하므로 우리가 보이는 것에 주목하지 않고 보이지 않는 것을 주목하노라(4:14-18)” 하였듯, 올바른 믿음으로 거듭나고 구원을 얻습니다.

Therefore, anyone who denies himself, takes up his cross, follows the Lord’s teachings, and obeys Him will be born again with the right faith and receive salvation, as “Because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. Therefore, we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us and eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So, we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (4:14-18)”

그러나 거듭난 믿음이라도 “우리가 사는 이 땅의 장막이 무너지면 사람의 손으로 짓지 않고 하나님께서 지으신 하늘에 있는 집을 우리에게 주심을 아노라. 우리가 하늘의 처소를 덧입기를 사모하며 여기에서 무거운 짐을 지고 신음함이라. 우리가 덧입어야만 벌거벗은 자로 발견되지 않음이라. 우리가 이 장막에 있는 동안 무거운 짐을 지고 신음하는 것은 벗으려 함이 아니고 썩을 것이 생명에 삼켜지게 덧입으려 함이라. 그런 목적으로 우리를 지으신 하나님께서 성령을 우리에게 주시고 보증하시므로, 우리가 육신으로 살 동안엔 주를 떠나 있음을 알면서도 확신하노라(5:1-6)” 하였듯, 죽기까지 순종해야만 구원과 부활을 얻습니다.

However, even those who are born again through the grace of God Emmanuel must obey until death to be save, and those who fail to obey to the end will not be saved, as “For we know that if earthly tent we live in us destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling. Because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. Therefore, we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. (5:1-6)”

그러므로 “우리가 보는 것으로 살지 않고 믿음으로 삶이라. 우리가 차라리 몸을 떠나 주의 집에 함께 살기 원함을 확신하며 말하노라. 그러므로 우리는 육신에 있든지 떠나든지 주를 기쁘시게 하려고 애쓰노라. 우리가 다 그리스도의 심판대 앞에 반드시 나타나고 선악간에 몸으로 행한대로 받음이라. 우리가 주를 경외하는 것이 무엇인지 알기에 우리가 어떤 사람인지 하나님께 명백하게 드러났으니 너희의 양심에도 명백하게 알려지기를 바라며 사람들을 설득하려고 애쓰노라(5:7-11)” 하였듯, 눈에 보이는 것에 이끌리는 마음에 속지 말고 그리스도의 구원과 부활에 소망을 두고 확신하며 전하고 증거하며 죽기까지 순종해야 됩니다.

Therefore, we must not deceived by the hearts of those drawn to the visible world, but must have faith in Christ’s salvation and resurrection, preach and testify with confidence, and obeys to God until death, as “For we live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So, we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. What we are is plan to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience. (5:7-11)”

그러므로 “우리를 너희에게 다시 자천하려는 것이 아니고 오직 우리로 말미암아 너희에게 자랑할 기회를 주어 마음으로 하지 않고 외모로 자랑하는 자들에게 대답하게 하려 함이라. 우리가 만일 미쳤어도 하나님을 위함이고 정신이 온전하여도 너희를 위함이라. 그리스도의 사랑이 우리를 강권하며 확신시키는 것은 한 사람이 모든 사람을 위해 죽으셨으므로 모든 사람이 죽었음이라. 그가 모든 사람을 위하여 죽으심은 살아 있는 자들이 다시는 자신을 위하여 살지 않고 오직 그들을 위하여 죽었다가 다시 살아나신 분을 위하여 살게 하려 함이라(5:12-15)” 하였듯, 예수 그리스도를 본받아 자신을 낮추고 남을 높이며 섬겨야 됩니다.

Therefore, we must always follow the example of Christ Jesus, humble ourselves, exalt others, and serve others, as “We are not trying to commend ourselves to you again, but are giving you an opportunity to take pride in us, so that you can answer those who take pride in what is seen rather than in what is in the heart. If we are out of our mind, as some say, it is for God, if we are in our right mind, it is for you. For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. (5:12-15)”

왜냐하면 “누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물이라 옛 것은 지나갔고 새롭게 되었음이라. 모든 것이 하나님에게서 났으니 그리스도를 통하여 우리를 자기와 화목하게 하시고 우리에게 화목할 직분을 주셨으며, 하나님께서 그리스도 안에 계시며 세상을 자기와 화목하게 하시고 우리에게 화목하게 하는 말씀을 맡기셨음이라. 그러므로 우리가 그리스도의 사신이 되어 우리를 통하여 너희를 권면하시는 하나님의 뜻대로 그리스도를 대신하여 너희가 하나님과 화목하기를 간청하노라. 하나님이 죄를 알지도 못하는 이로 우리의 죄를 대신하게 하셨으므로 우리가 그의 안에서 하나님의 의가 되게 하심이라(5:17-21)” 하였듯, 무엇이든 다 하시는 하나님께서 확정적으로 선포하고 기록하신 말씀의 외면적 의미에 속아 우쭐하다 거역하는 죄에 빠지지 말고 그리스도를 본받아 죽기까지 순종해야 되기 때문입니다.

Because, we must not fall into the sin of being proud and rebellious, deceived by the outward meaning of the words that God has definitively declared and recorded, who does whatever He wants, but must follow Christ’s example and obey Him until death, as “If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here. All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. That God reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore, Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (5:17-21)”

왜냐하면, “너희는 믿지 않는 자와 멍에를 함께 메지 말라 의와 불법이 어찌 함께 하며 빛과 어둠이 어찌 사귀며, 그리스도와 벨리알이 어찌 조화되며 믿는 자와 믿지 않는 자가 어찌 상관하며, 하나님의 성전과 우상이 어찌 일치가 되리요 우리는 살아 계신 하나님의 성전이라 하나님께서 이르시되 내가 그들 가운데 거하며 두루 행하여 나는 그들의 하나님이 되고 그들은 나의 백성이 되리라 하셨음이라. 너희는 그들 중에서 나와서 따로 있고 부정한 것을 만지지 말라 내가 너희를 영접하리라. 너희에게 아버지가 되고 너희는 내게 자녀가 되리라(6:14-18)” 하였듯, 믿지 않고 세상과 우상을 따라 사는 사람들과 교제하면 자유의지로 말미암아 죄에 빠지고 임마누엘 은혜에서 떨어지며, 하나님만 바라고 믿고 신뢰하며 맡기고 순종해야 사용하고 이루시기 때문입니다.

Because, if we associate with those who do not believe in God and follow the world and idols, we will fall into sin through our own free-will and fall from the grace of Emmanuel. But we must only hope in God, believe in Him, trust in Him, entrust ourselves to God, and obey Him. This is because Christ’s redemption and salvation are what guides, uses, and accomplishes by God of Emmanuel, as “Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people. Therefore, ‘Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you. And, I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. (6:14-18)”

그래서 “하나님의 동역자인 우리가 하나님의 은혜를 헛되이 받지 말라 너희에게 권하노라. 은혜를 베풀 때에 내가 너에게 듣고 구원의 날에 너를 도왔다 하셨으니 내가 말하는데 지금은 은혜 받을 때요 지금은 구원의 날이라(6:1-2)” 가르치므로, 고난으로 훈육하시며 가르치시는 임마누엘 하나님 성령의 진리를 따라 죽기까지 순종하는 올바른 믿음으로 구원을 얻어야 합니다. 성도 여러분, 모두 그처럼 겸손하고 올바른 믿음으로 구원과 영생 얻기를 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 축복하며 기도합니다. 아멘.

Therefore, we must correctly understand and trust the true will of the Holy Spirit, who leads us through suffering, uses us and accomplishes it. We must entrust ourselves to Him more humbly and obtain salvation through the right faith that obeys Him until death, as “As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. For he says, ‘In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you. I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. (6:1-2)” Dear brothers and sisters, I pray earnestly in the name of Christ Jesus that you may all keep the right faith until death and obtain salvation and eternal life. Amen.
