🔹 About the Company
Counterwave Capital was founded in 2022 by an alumnus of a U.S. hedge fund with roots in Julian Roberston’s Tiger Management. Backed by leading overseas family offices and institutional investors, we focus on identifying investment opportunities in the Korean stock market. As our name suggests, we are contrarian, independent thinkers and are passionate about discovering asymmetric investment opportunities. For individuals from an operations background, this role offers hands-on experience in global standard fund operations and can serve as a natural stepping stone for a transition into an investment role. 


🔹Position and Responsibilities
» Position: Operations & Investment Analyst (Hybrid Role)

» Key Responsibilities:
  - Fund operations (Operations): Trading operations, audit support, regulatory compliance, and optimization of operational processes 
  - Investment analysis (Investment): Research, modeling, and investment idea generation

» Position Overview: While this role prioritizes operations responsibilities, individuals with a strong interest in investing can gradually transition into an Investment Analyst role. Under the guidance of a seasoned New York-based COO/CFO, you will receive training in global hedge fund operations standards. In the financial industry, where transitioning from back/middle to front office is difficult, this role serves as a stable and flexible entry point.


🔹Qualifications
» Available for full-time work starting January 2, 2026
» 1+ years of experience in accounting, audit, or fund operations 
» Strong passion for and willingness to learn about investments (prior investment experience not required)
» Fluent communication in Korean and English
» Relevant certifications (CFA, CPA, or equivalent)
» Attention to detail and strong team collaboration skills
