참담한 패배를 되풀이 하는 것은 악몽입니다. 백성들은 아이성의 패배를 반복하고 싶지 않았을 것입니다. 어떻게 해서 이전 아이성의 싸움을 승리로 이끌 수 없었는가? 그렇다면 어떻게 해야 승리를 성취하고 영원한 교훈으로 삼을 수 있는가? 생의 과정을 통해 무엇이 기억되어야 하는가? 군대가 많이 좋아졌어요. 요새는 사병들 월급이 병장 기준 100만원이 넘고 운동복은 래시가드, 야상도 패딩을 입는다고 들었습니다. 휴대폰을 지참할 수 있게 하고 위수 지역제한도 모두 풀린 것으로 알고 있습니다.

Repeating a disastrous defeat is a nightmare. People may not have wanted to repeat their defeat. How could they not lead their previous fight to victory? If so, how can they achieve victory and use it as an eternal lesson? What should be remembered throughout the course of their lives? The military has gotten a lot better. 내 판단이 아닌 하나님의 사인을 기다려야 하기에 잘 하려고 독자 노선을 걷는 것보다 하지 말아야 할 일을 안 하는 것이 핵심입니다. 이스라엘은 하나님이 말씀 하신 대로 철저하게 작전을 짜서 준비했습니다. 하나님이 돕는 전쟁이라고 해서 전술 전략이 없어도 무조건 이기는 것은 아닙니다. 군사들은 여호수아의 명령에 충실하게 순종 합니다. 하지만 결정적인 공격 시점은 하나님이 포인트를 찍어주셨습니다. 물론 아무리 잘 준비해도 하나님이 허락하지 않으면 승리할 수 없을 것입니다.

적군인 아이와 벧엘 연합군은 도주하는 이스라엘 군을 아마도 20-30km쯤 추격한 것 같습니다. 작전 상 후퇴 인 줄도 모르고서 말입니다. 복병 전은 적의 전술을 흩어버리는 것이 핵심이고 최대한 많은 적을 섬멸하기 위해 적군이 사정권 안에 들어올 때까지 기다리는 것이 중요합니다. 바로 그 찰나의 순간, 하나님께서 여호수아에게 손에 쥐고 있는 단창을 높이 들어 아이 성을 가리키라고 하십니다(18). 고대 전쟁이나 영화 ‘봉오동 전투’에서 보면 토끼 몰이를 해서 독 안에 들어온 쥐를, 매복 조가 집중 사격으로 섬멸하는 장면처럼 말입니다.

여호수아가 손을 높이 드는 순간 복병들이 일제히 일어났다는 표현은 여호수아의 명령과 지시 하에 전투가 진행되었음을 드러내기 위한 문학적 기법입니다. 아이를 점령 한 후 불살라 그 것으로 돌무더기를 만들었고, 왕을 나무에 죽인 후 시체를 돌로 쌓아 큰 무더기를 만들었습니다. 후대에 두고두고 하나님이 하신 대대적인 승리를 기념하기 위해서입니다. 패배의 아픔과 함께 순종의 축복을 후대가 기억하기 위해서입니다.

The expression‎ that the ambush happened all at once as soon as Joshua raised his hand is a literary technique to reveal that the battle took place under Joshua's orders and instructions. After capturing the child, they burned him to death and made rubble with it, and after killing the king in a tree, they stacked the body with stones to make a large pile. This is to commemorate the great victory that God has made for future generations. This is to remember the pain of defeat and the blessing of obedience for future generations.

한 번의 승리로 끝나지 않고 후대 역시 그 승리를 이어받게 하기 위해서입니다. 사람이 아니라 하나님이 기억되게 하기 위해서 말입니다. 하나님의 말씀대로 작전을 짜고 여호수아와 이스라엘은 충실히 이행합니다. 하나님이 정하신 방법으로 준비했고, 명령하신 공격 시점에 따라서 움직였습니다. 여호수아는 왕과 주민을 다 진멸하기까지는 손에서 단창을 놓지 않았어요. 일전에 아말렉을 다 진멸하기까지 모세의 손이 내려오지 않도록 아로노가 훌이 손을 붙잡고 있었던 것처럼 말입니다.

It does not end in a single victory, but in order for future generations to inherit it. For God, not man, to be remembered. As God said, we plan our operations and faithfully carry out Joshua and Israel. They prepared in the way God had decided and moved according to the time of the attack. Joshua did not let go of the dagger in his hands until he had extinguished both the king and the inhabitants. Just as Arono held on to his hand so that Moses' hand would not come down until he had extinguished Amalek the other day.

아이를 점령한 후 불살라 영원한 무더기를 만들고, 왕을 나무에 달아 죽인 후 시체를 돌로 쌓아 큰 무더기를 만들어서 하나님이 하신 대대적인 승리를 기념했습니다. 패배의 아픔과 함께 순종의 축복을 후대가 기억하게 했어요. 가나안에서 영적인 싸움은 계속 될 것이기 때문입니다. 에발산과 그리심산에서 순종을 맹세했는데(신27장) 제단은 저주를 선언하는 에발산 앞에 세우게 함으로써 승리의 순간에 저주를 기억하게 한 것입니다.

한 번의 승리가 영원한 승리를 보장하지 않으며, 가나안은 순종을 통해서만 복을 누리는 언약의 땅임을 알게 하셨습니다. 제단에 새겨진 율법이 지워지지 않는 것처럼 순종의 의무 역시 사라지지 않습니다. 상황에 따라 우리 기분에 따라 변할 수 있는 것이 아니고 한결같은 충성이 가나안의 안전을 보장하는 유일한 길입니다.

You have made it known that one victory does not guarantee eternal victory, and that Canaan is the land of a covenant that only enjoys blessings through obedience. Just as the law inscribed on the altar cannot be erased, the duty of obedience also does not disappear. It is not something that can change according to our mood depending on the situation, but constant loyalty is the only way to ensure Canaan's security.

그 순종의 대상에는 이방인까지 포함합니다. 애굽에서 나올 때 같이 나온 거류민들도 들어야 합니다. 누구든 살 길은 말씀 순종에 달려 있어요. 누구든 아브라함의 축복, 언약의 축복을 누릴 수 있습니다. 내가 오늘 즉시 순종 해야 할 말씀은 무엇일까? 우리의 싸움과 승리가 의미를 갖기 위해서는 무엇이 필요한가?

The object of obedience includes strangers. Residents who come out of Egypt must also listen. The way anyone can live depends on obedience to the word. Anyone can enjoy the blessing of Abraham, the blessing of the covenant. What should I say today? What is necessary for our fight and victory to have meaning?

작전 사령관이신 주님, 승리는 훈련이나 무기에만 있지 않나이다. 말씀에 순종하고 주 안에서 하나 되어 협력할 때 주께서 아름다운 승리를 주시는 것을 봅니다. 내 모든 것을 주께 맡기고 주님의 주권에 순종하겠습니다. 북방 침략군들을 아브람의 손에 붙여 말썽 장이 롯을 구출하신 것을 찬양하나이다. 율법을 새 돌에 기록하라고 하신 주님, 내가 아이 성 전투와 에발 산 기념비를 잊지 말고 속히 방황을 끝낼 수 있도록 성령님께서 도와주옵소서. 오주여, 제가 예배를 통해 지저분해진 나의 일상을 청소하고 새롭게 결단하는 그 자리까지 나아가도록 도와주세요. 사울처럼 예배 중독자가 되지 않게 하시고 미련한 나발처럼 먹고 사느라고 그랬다고 핑계 대지 않게 하옵소서. 단지 말씀을 듣는 것에서 그치지 않고 삶이 있는 간증이 되게 하옵소서. 땅에 대한 내 집착이 하나님의 선물로 비춰지지 않을 때 아간처럼 죽게 됨을 기억하오니 오주님, 날마다 거룩한 전쟁을 할 수 있는 용기를 주옵소서. 내 앞에 놓인 죄와 싸우기 위해 율법을 묵상하며 시절을 좇아 과실을 맺게 하시고 하나님께 만 온전히 충성을 다할 것을 새롭게 다짐합니다.

Victory comes only in training or weapons, O Lord, the commander of the operations. I see the Lord give me beautiful victories when he obeys the Word and works as one in the Lord. I will entrust all of me to the Lord and obey his sovereignty. Praise the trouble maker for rescuing Lot by attaching the northern invaders to Abram's hands. O Lord, who told me to record the law on a new stone, help me not to forget the battle of the castle of Ay and the monument to Mount Eval‎ and to end my wandering quickly. O Lord, help me clean up my messy daily life through worship and move on to the place of new determination. Do not become a worship addict like Saul and make no excuses that you did it to live like a stupid babal. Let me not just listen to you, but be a testimony with life. O Lord, I remember that when my obsession with the earth is not seen as a gift from God, I die like Argan, so I will give you the courage to fight holy war every day. To fight the sins before me, I meditate on the law, follow the days, make mistakes, and renew my commitment to fully loyalty to God.
