신명기8:1-11 풍요 속에 기억하라

인생을 살아보니 세상은 하나님의 은혜를 경험하는 곳이면서 결핍으로 시험에 들 수 있는 곳입디다. 풍요에 젖어 망각과 오만으로 행하기 쉬운 곳이면서 감사와 찬미가 가득한 곳입니다. 모세의 권면에 따르면 여호와의 명령을 지킬 때는 그 땅에서 살고 번성하겠지만, 여호와의 목소리를 청종하지 않을 때는 멸망한 민족들처럼 멸망당할 것입니다.

Throughout life, the world is a place to experience the grace of God and a place to be tested for lack. It is a place that is soaked in abundance, easy to do with oblivion and arrogance, and full of gratitude and praise. According to Moses's authority, when you obey the command of the Lord, you will live and thrive in the land, but when you do not listen to the voice of the Lord, you will be destroyed like the fallen people.

그러니 이스라엘의 안전과 미래는 풍부한 자원이 아니라 신실한 순종에 달려 있습니다. 하나님 뜻의 전모를 늘 선명하게 알 수 있는 것은 아니지만, 불순종을 정당화 할 만큼 모호한 것도 아닙니다. 가나안의 풍요로움을 기대하는 이스라엘 백성에게 사십 년 동안 광야의 길을 걷게 하신 것을 기억하라고 하십니다. 회고와 회한에서 머물지 말고 교훈과 깨달음을 얻으라고 하십니다.
Therefore, Israel's safety and future depend not on abundant resources but on faithful obedience. The full extent of God's will cannot always be clearly understood, but it is also not ambiguous enough to justify disobedience. He tells the people of Israel, who expect Canaan to be rich, to remember that for 40 years they have led him to walk on the wilderness. He tells us not to stay in retrospect and repentance, but to learn lessons and enlightenment

하나님이 길고 험난한 광야의 여정을 허락하신 이유는 이스라엘의 교만한 마음을 낮추고 불신의 마음을 연단하여 순종하는 백성이 되게 하는 데 있었습니다. 광야는 불안과 두려움을 자아내는 혼돈의 땅이지만, 그 혼돈을 두려워하지 않는 믿음의 백성, 순종의 자녀(5)를 만드는 창조의 산실이기도 했습니다.

The reason why God allowed the long and rough journey of the wilderness was to lower Israel's arrogant mind and to turn the mind of distrust into a submissive people. The wilderness is a land of chaos that creates anxiety and fear, but it was also the birthplace of the creation of the people of faith who are not afraid of the chaos, the children of thoroughbred (5).

순종이 생명의 길임을 배우는 학교요, 훈련의 장입니다. 순종하면 광야에서도 가나안을 누리지만 순종을 잃으면 가나안도 광야가 될 것입니다. 부모가 자녀의 유익을 위해 훈계하는 것처럼, 하나님도 자녀인 이스라엘의 유익을 위하여 광야의 시간을 허락하셨습니다. 광야의 여정을 통해 그들이 얻은 유익은 가나안의 풍요나 번영(7,8)보다는 하나님을 경외하는 마음이요 말씀에 순종하는 삶이었습니다.

It is a school where students learn that obedience is the path of life, a place of training. If you obey, you will enjoy Canaan in the wilderness, but if you lose your obedience, it will become a wilderness. Just as parents admonish their children for their good, God also allowed time in the wilderness for the good of Israel, their children. The benefit they gained through the wilderness journey was not the abundance or prosperity of Canaan (7,8) but the awe of God and the life of obeying the words.

해명할 수 없는 시련 중에 우리가 바랄 것은 ‘상황의 반전’이 아니라 ‘나의 변화’입니다. 하나님이 약속하시고 기업으로 주실 가나안은 황량 하고 메마른 광야와 비교할 수 없을 만큼 비옥하고 아름다운 땅입니다. 부족함이 없는 땅이요, 주림이나 목마름도 없는 땅입니다. 애급에서 종살이하고 광야에서 방황하던 이스라엘에게 과분한 선물이요 기업이요 은혜입니다. 하나님 나라를 사는 백성의 태도는 어떠해야 하는가? 나는 왜 떡이라면 맥을 못 추는 것일까?

What we hope for during the unexplained ordeal is not a "reversal of the situation," but a "change of mine." Canaan, which God promises and will give to the company, is a fertile and beautiful land incomparable to the desolate and parched wilderness. It is a land without shortage, and it is a land without thirst or thirst. It is a gift, a company, and a grace that is undesirable to Israel, which was a servant in the first place and wandered in the wilderness. What should be the attitude of the people who live in God's country? Why can't I beat the pulse if it's a rice cake?

걷게 하신 것을 기억하라(2d)

이는 너를 낮추시며(2e)

너를 시험하사(2f)

네 마음이 어떠한지(2g)

그 명령을 지키는지(2h)

아니 지키는지 알려하심이라(2i)

또 너도 알지 못하며 (3c)

네 열조도 알지 못하던(3d)

만나를 네게 먹이신 것은(3e)

사람이 떡으로만 사는 것이 아니요(3f)

여호와의 입에서 나오는(3g)

모든 말씀으로 사는 줄을(3h)

너로 알게 하려 하심이니라(3i)

이 사십년 동안에(4a)

네 의복이 해어지지 아니하였고(4b)

네 발이 부릍지 아니하였느니라(4c)

너는 사람이 그 아들을 징계함 같이(5a)

네 하나님 여호와께서 너를 징계하시는 줄(5b)

마음에 생각하고(5c)

네 하나님 여호와의 명령을 지켜(6a)

그 도를 행하며(6b)

그를 경외할지니라(6c)

네 하나님 여호와께서(7a)

너로 아름다운 땅에 이르게 하시나니(7b)

그곳은 골짜기에든지 산지에든지(7c)

시내와 분천과 샘이 흐르고(7d)

밀과 보리의 소산지요(8a)

포도와 무화과와(8b)

석류와 감람들의 나무와(8c)

꿀의 소산지라(8d)

너의 먹는 식물의 결핍함이 없고(9a)

네게 아무 부족함이 없는 땅이며(9b)

그 땅의 돌은 철이요(9c)

산에서는 동을 캘 것이라(9d)

네가 먹어서 배불리고(10a)

네 하나님 여호와께서(10b)

옥토로 네게 주셨음을 인하여(10c)

그를 찬송하리라(10d)

풍요 속에 기억하라_ Remember in abundance

시련 속에 경외하라_ Be in awe of the test

감사하고 찬미하라_ Thank you and praise you

광야가 내게 유익인 것은 낮추시며, 시험하사 기쁘신 뜻을 알게 하시려는 것을 다시 생각해봅니다. 속히 광야를 청산하거거든 내가 온전해 지는 수밖에 없는데 왜 나는 잘 바뀌지 않고 자꾸만 가나안에 머물러 있고 싶은지 모르겠습니다. 하나님의 계명을 지켜 행하는 것이 교회가 살고 번영하는 길이고 사람이 떡으로만 사는 것이 아니라 하나님의 말씀으로 산다고 하였으니 내가 떡 때문에 편법을 쓰지 말고 하나님을 시험하지 않게 하옵소서.

I think again about lowering what the wilderness is beneficial to me and trying to make you know what you are happy about. I don't know why I want to stay in Canaan without changing well when I have no choice but to settle the wilderness quickly.

Since keeping God's commandments is the way for the church to live and prosper, and people live not just by rice cakes, but by the word of God, let me not use expediency because of rice cakes and not test God.
