Bible Reading - Proverbs 27:1~9

27:1 Do not boast about tomorrow, 내일에 대하여 자랑하지 말라.

for you do not know what a day may bring forth. 하루가 무슨 일을 가져올지 네가 알지 못하니까.

27:2 Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; 다른 사람들이 너를 칭찬하게 하고 네 입으로는 말며

someone else, and not your own lips. 그 밖에 다른 사람들이 너를 칭찬하게 하며 너의 입술로는 말라.

27:3 Stone is heavy and sand a burden, but provocation(도발) by a fool is heavier than both.

돌은 무겁고 모래는 짐이지만, 어리석은 자의 도발은 이 둘보다 더 무겁다.

27:4 Anger is cruel and fury(격노) overwhelming, 분노는 잔인하고 격노는 압도적이다.

but who can stand before jealousy? 그러나 질투 앞에서 누가 견딜 수 있으랴?

27:5 Better is open rebuke than hidden love. 숨은 사랑보다 공개적인 꾸지람이 낫다.

27:6 Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.

친구가 주는 상처는 믿을 수 있지만, 원수는 키스를 남발한다.

27:7 He who is full loathes(몹시 싫어하다) honey, 배부른 자는 꿀도 싫어하지만 

but to the hungry even what is bitter tastes sweet. 배고픈 자에게는 쓴 것조차 달게 느껴진다.

27:8 Like a bird that strays(길 잃은) from its nest is a man who strays from his home.

집을 떠나 갈 길을 잃은 사람은 둥지를 떠나 헤매는 새와 같다.

27:9 Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, 향수와 향는 마음에 기쁨을 가져오고

and the pleasantness(상쾌함,유쾌함) of one's friend springs(솟아나온다) from his earnest(진지한) counsel.

친구의 친절함(상쾌함)은 그의 진지한 조언에서 샘솟는다.
