Worthy Faith by Obeying for True Wills of God with Pure Love

성경말씀: 고린도 후서 7~9장

Scripture Reading: 2Corinthians 7~9

본문에서 “사랑하는 친구들아 우리에게는 언약들이 있으니 하나님을 경외하는 마음으로 몸과 영혼을 더럽히는 모든 것에서 자신을 깨끗이 하여 거룩함을 온전하게 이루자. 아무에게도 잘못하거나 타락시키거나 착취하지 않은 우리에게 마음을 열고 영접하라. 내가 너희를 정죄하려는 말이 아니고 너희가 우리 마음을 크게 차지하고 있으므로 함께 살거나 죽을 수 있다 내가 전에 말했음이라. 내가 모든 환난 속에서도 너희의 위로에 큰 용기를 얻고 나의 기쁨은 끝이 없으므로 신뢰하며 자랑함이라(7:1-4)” 하였듯, 성령 하나님께서 가르치시는 진리에 감사하며 진실한 사랑으로 따라 지키며 협력해야 올바른 믿음입니다.

For the true and right faith in Jesus is to be grateful for the truth taught by the Holy Spirit, to follow it with true love, and to cooperate with it, as “Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purity ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God. Make room for us in your hearts. We have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, we have exploited no one. I do not say this to condemn you, I have said before that you have such a place in our hearts that we would live or die with you. I have spoken to you with great frankness, I take great pride in you. I am greatly encouraged, in all our troubles my joy knows no bounds. (7:1-4)”

그러므로 “우리가 마게도냐에 갔을 때 외적인 다툼과 내적인 두려움과 사방의 괴롭힘으로 우리 마음이 편치 못하였으나, 디도가 우리에게 오므로 낙심한 자들을 위로하시는 하나님의 위로를 받았노라. 너희에게 위로를 받고 온 디도가 너희가 나를 간절히 사모하며 열정적인 관심으로 깊이 슬퍼하는 마음을 우리에게 보고하며 위로하여 매우 큰 기쁨을 주었음이라. 그러므로 내가 편지로 너희를 근심하게 한 것을 잠시 후회하였으나 너희를 잠깐만 근심하게 한 줄을 알고 지금은 후회하지 않노라. 내가 너희를 근심시켰으나 너희가 아무런 해를 받지 않고 하나님의 뜻대로 근심하다가 회개에 이르렀으니 오히려 기뻐하노라(7:5-9)” 하였듯, 진리로 가르치며 올바른 믿음으로 인도하시는 성령께 자신을 맡기고 따라가며 온갖 고난과 연단을 참고 견디며 순종해야 됩니다.

Therefore, we must entrust ourselves to the Holy Spirit, who teaches us the truth and guides us to the right faith, and we must endure all kinds of hardships and trials and obey, as “For when we came into Macedonia, we had no rest, but we were harassed at every turn, conflicts on the outside, fears within. But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus. And not only by his coming but also by the comfort you had given him. He told us about your longing for me, your deep sorrow, your ardent concern for me, so that my joy was great than ever. Even if I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it. Through I did regret it, I see that my letter hurt you, but only for a little while, yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you became sorrowful as God intended and so were not harmed in any way by us. (7:5-9)”

그러면 “하나님의 뜻대로 하는 근심은 후회가 없는 구원으로 인도하는 회개를 이루고 세상 근심은 사망을 이룸이라. 하나님의 뜻대로 하는 근심이 너희가 너희 자신에게 얼마나 놀라고 분노하고 염려하며 얼마나 열심히 자신을 깨끗이 하려고 노력하며 얼마나 간절하게 정의를 사모하며 이루게 하였는가 너희가 그 모든 면에 순결함으로 증명하였음이라. 내가 너희에게 편지를 쓴 것은 불의를 행한 자나 피해자를 위한 것이 아니었고 오직 너희가 우리를 얼마나 사랑하는지 하나님 앞에서 너희에게 직접 알게 하려 하였음이라(7:10-12)” 하였듯, 하나님의 진리로 양심을 일깨우고 죄악을 근심하며 회개하게 하시고 임마누엘 하나님의 은혜와 사랑을 받는 믿음으로 승화시키십니다.

Then, God awakens our conscience with his truth, causes us to be concerned about our sins, and causes us to repent, and sublimates our faith into receiving the grace and love of God Immanuel, as “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. See what this godly sorrow has produced in you; what earnestness, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what concern, what readiness to see justice done. At every point you have proved yourselves to be innocent in this matter. So even though I wrote to you, it was neither on account of the one who did the wrong nor on account of the injured party, but rather that before God you could see for yourselves how devoted to us you free. (7:10-12)”

그러면 “너희가 기쁨으로 환영하고 편안하고 상쾌하게 하여준 디도의 기쁨으로 말미암아 우리가 특별히 기뻐하였음이라. 우리가 너희에게 이른 말이 다 참된 것 같이 우리가 디도에게 너희를 자랑한 것이 부끄럽지 않게 되었음이라. 너희 모두가 그를 진심으로 환영하고 두렵고 떨리는 마음으로 듣고 순종한 것을 생각하며 너희를 향한 그의 사랑이 더욱 깊어졌음이라. 내가 너희를 전적으로 신뢰하게 되어 기뻐하노라(7:13-16)” 하였듯, 우리들이 서로서로 사랑하고 섬기며 위로하고 협력하는 믿음으로 나타나게 됩니다.

Then, we will show our faith by loving, serving, comforting and cooperating with one another, as “By all this we are encouraged. In addition to our own encouragement, we were especially delighted to see how happy Titus was, because his spirit has been refreshed by all of you. I had boasted to him about you, and you have not embarrassed me. But just as everything we said to you was true, so our boasting about you to Titus has proved to be true as well. And his affection for you is all the greater when he remembers that you were all obedient, receiving him with fear and trembling. I am glad I can have complete confidence in you. (7:13-16)”

그러므로 “형제들아 하나님께서 마게도냐 교회들에게 베푸신 은혜를 우리가 너희에게 알리노라. 심한 환난과 극심한 더위와 가난 속에서도 풍성한 헌금을 냈음이라. 그들이 힘대로 드렸을 뿐 아니라 힘에 넘치도록 자원하여 드렸음을 내가 증언하노라. 성도들을 섬기는 봉사에 헌신하기를 간청하며, 우리의 기대 이상으로 그들이 먼저 자신을 주께 드리고 하나님의 뜻에 순종하며 우리에게도 주었음이라(8:1-5)” 하였듯, 성령의 은혜와 사랑으로 헌신하는 사람들을 본받아 서로서로 격려하며 올바로 헌신하는 믿음으로 자라도록 협력해야 됩니다.

Therefore, we must follow the example of those who are dedicated with the grace and love of the Holy Spirit, encourage one another, and cooperate to grow in the faith of true dedication, as “Brothers and sisters, we want you to know about the grace that Go has given the Macedonian churches. In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord’s people. And they exceeded our expectations. They gave themselves first of all to the Lord, and then by the will of God also to us. (8:1-5)”

그러므로 “우리가 디도에게 너희 가운데서 시작한 은혜로운 일을 완전하게 성취하게 권고하라 하였느니라. 우리에 대한 너희의 사랑과 믿음과 말과 지식과 모든 간절함이 모든 일에 풍성한 것처럼 은혜롭게 베푸는 일에도 풍성하게 하라. 내 말은 명령이 아니고 다른 사람들의 간절한 헌신과 비교하며 너희의 성실한 사랑을 시험하려 함이라. 부유하신 우리 주 예수 그리스도께서 가난하게 되심은 그의 가난하게 되심으로 너희를 부유하게 하시려는 은혜를 너희가 앎이라(8:6-9)” 하였듯, 서로서로 격려하며 성령의 감동으로 서원한 일은 반드시 지키는 올바른 믿음으로 자라야 합니다.

Therefore, we must encourage one another and grow in the right faith by keeping the vows we have made under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, as “So, we urged Titus, just as he had earlier made a begi9nning, to bring also to completion this act of grace on your part. But you excel in everything, in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love, we have kindled in you, see that you also excel in this grace of giving. I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the earnestness of others. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich. (8:6-9)”

누구나 그처럼 올바른 믿음이 되면 “그 일에 대하여 내가 너희에게 가장 유익한 조언을 하리라 작년에 너희가 먼저 하고 싶은 마음으로 시작하였으니, 이제는 그 일을 마치도록 하되 너희가 원하던 마음과 형편에 맞추어 완벽하게 완수하라. 할 마음만 있으면 있는 대로 받으시고 갖지 않은 것을 받지는 않으시리라. 우리가 원하는 것은 너희를 곤고하게 하며 다른 사람들은 평안하게 하려 함이 아니고 균등하게 하려 함이라. 지금은 너희의 넉넉한 것으로 그들의 부족한 것을 보충하고 후에는 그들의 넉넉한 것으로 너희의 부족한 것을 보충하여 균등하게 하려 함이라. 많이 거둔 자도 남지 않고 적게 거둔 자도 모자라지 않았다 기록됨과 같으니라(8:10-15)” 하였듯, 인도하고 사용하며 이루시는 임마누엘 하나님의 형통한 은혜와 사랑을 받습니다.

Anyone, who has such a righteous faith will receive the abundant grace and love of Immanuel God, who guides, uses and fulfills, as “Here is my judgement about what is best for you in this matter. Last year you were the first not only to give but also to have the desire to do so. Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means. For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have. Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. The goal is equality, as it is written: The one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little. (8:10-15)”

그러므로 “인색하게 뿌리는 자는 적게 거두고 관대하게 심는 자는 많이 거둔다 하였음이라. 각각 마음에 정한 대로 하고 인색함이나 억지로 하지 말라 하나님은 즐겨 내는 자를 사랑하심이라. 너희에게 모든 은혜를 넘치게 하실 수 있는 하나님께서 너희 모든 일에 항상 넉넉하여 모든 착한 일을 넘치게 하게 하심이라. 그가 선물을 가난한 자들에게 흩뿌려 주었으니 그의 의가 영원토록 있으리라 기록됨과 같음이라. 뿌리는 자에게 씨와 먹을 양식을 주시는 이가 너희 씨앗의 창고를 넓히시고 의의 열매를 더 많이 거두게 하시리라(9:6-10)” 하였듯, 각 사람이 자유의지로 선택하고 결정하는 대로 이루어지게 하시는 하나님의 섭리를 올바로 전하고 가르치는 복음의 진실한 증인이 돼야 합니다.

Therefore, we must become true witness of the gospel, correctly preaching and teaching God’s providence, which allows each person to choose and decide as they see fit, as “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written: They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever. Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. (9:6-10)”

그런 올바른 믿음으로 임마누엘 하나님의 은혜를 받아야만, “너희가 모든 일에 풍족하여 너그럽게 베풀게 되고 너희의 관대함이 우리를 통하여 하나님께 감사하게 되리라. 너희의 그런 봉사로 성도들의 필요를 채울 뿐 아니라 하나님께 많은 감사를 드리게 되리라. 너희의 섬김과 봉사로 그리스도의 복음에 순종하며 모든 사람에게 베푸는 관대함으로 증거하며 하나님께 영광을 돌리게 됨이라. 하나님이 너희에게 주신 지극한 은혜로 말미암아 그들이 너희를 사모하게 하며 너희를 위하여 간구하게 하심이라. 형언할 수 없는 그의 은사로 말미암아 하나님께 감사하노라(9:11-15)” 하였듯, 기뻐하고 감사하며 하나님의 진리를 따라 순종하며 나누고 베풀며 섬기는 사랑으로 서로서로 위하여 기도하며 협력하여 선을 이루고 구원에 이르기 때문입니다. 사랑하는 성도 여러분, 모두 그처럼 올바른 믿음으로 구원과 영생 얻기를 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 축복하며 기도합니다. 아멘.

Anyone who receives the grace and love of God Emmanuel with such righteous faith must rejoice and be thankful, obey God’s truth, share and serve with love, pray for one another, and cooperate to achieve good and attain salvation, as “You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to God for this indescribable gift. (9:11-15)” Dear saints, I earnestly pray and bless you all in the name of Jesus Christ, that you may obtain salvation and eternal life through such righteous faith. Amen.
