Column - Where Are You Now?
1. God asked Adam, who had sinned, "Adam, where are you?" Fearful of God and ashamed of one another, Adam hid among the trees of the garden, wearing a skirt of fig leaves.
He stood in an awkward position, between the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
If God were to ask us today, "Where do you stand?" would we confidently answer, "Yes, I am in Christ, having received the atonement of the cross of Christ"?
Perhaps the most common mistake among Christians is acknowledging and confessing that Christ is in me, and that I, having died with Christ on the cross, have risen again with Christ, and are united with Christ in the resurrection.
Just as the law is far away and the fist is close, living in the flesh is convenient.
2. The place where the Holy Spirit of God is given is where sins are forgiven through repentance and baptism.
The Holy Spirit does not dwell in one unless one is united to the death of Christ and to his life through the message of the cross.
This is the Spirit of truth. The way to heaven is closed.
To say they are on the rock or to say they have the keys to heaven is nothing more than wishful thinking.
Just as the Jews did in the place of flesh and blood, and as the disciples before Pentecost did.", they do not understand the meaning of the words, "A little while and you will not see me, but a little while and you will see me."
However, those in whom the Spirit of truth dwells know that the Lord has gone to prepare a place for us and has not left us as orphans, but has come again. Today, on this day when the Holy Spirit has come, have received and kept the new covenant: we are in Christ, Christ in us, receive the Father's love, receive the Lord's love, and long for his appearing in us.
As David confessed, we sing of the Lord as our rock, our salvation, and our fortress (Psalm 62:6).
It is the song of the righteous in heaven.
3. Because resurrection is external and the hope of the future, they strive to love only with physical life (bios) and mental life (psuche).
This is life under the sun.
However, those who have died and been resurrected through Christ, the resurrection and the life, and have moved to the place of giving life, receive that love in heavenly love (agape) and have faith that works through love and walk according to the Holy Spirit.
How can one, in the realm of flesh and blood, follow the Spirit and bear the fruit of the Spirit?
That would be like climbing a tree to catch fish.
Flesh and blood stand in opposition to the kingdom of God, as enemies.
The external manifestations of the Holy Spirit, such as gifts and signs, are all that matter.
The Holy Spirit operates like a hen gathering her chicks.
To forgive sins and cleanse unrighteousness through the sprinkling of blood (1 John 1:9), and to have fellowship with God, who is light, we must repent, follow the cross of the Lord, confess the works of darkness, and return to the light.
The Holy Spirit works again, revealing holiness and glory.
In the triune God.
4. Are you willing to offer your thoughts, words, and tongue as weapons of righteousness to God?
For those who want to live according to the flesh, the Holy Spirit is like manicure to an earthworm.
If you desire your members to become weapons of righteousness to God, you must consider yourself as someone who has been raised from the dead (Romans 6:13).
This is a prerequisite for devotion.
Otherwise, you are slaves to sin and will lead to death (Romans 6:16).
You are always in a bad mood. There is no refreshment.
Because you stand in a place where heaven is closed, no refreshment can come down from heaven (Acts 3:19).
Therefore, only when you move to a place of repentance, baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, can the Holy Spirit work and receive the divine blessings of heaven.
Aren't righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit the very blessings?
That's why we must resolve through faith what money cannot.
We, slaves of sin, always receiving the wages of death, have become slaves of righteousness by hearing the gospel and obeying Christ's death and resurrection (Romans 6:18).
It is eternal life, the gift of God in Christ.
We stand in the place where he stretches out His hand, saying, "I give you eternal life" (John 10:28).
Just as the Lord had the power to lay down His life and take it up again, we, as those who possess the life of the Lord, surrender ourselves to Jesus' death and receive the gift of eternal life, in which that life manifests in our bodies and flesh (2 Corinthians 4:10-11).
We have learned to count our own identities, considering ourselves as those who died and were resurrected.
