True Faith to Bear Fruit by Service along Truth & love of Holy Spirit

성경말씀: 골로새서 1~2장

Scripture Reading: Colossians 1~2

“우리가 너희를 위하여 기도할 때마다 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 아버지 하나님께 감사함이라. 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 너희의 믿음과 모든 성도에 대한 너희의 사랑을 들었음이라. 너희가 전에 복음에서 진리의 말씀을 듣고 너희를 위하여 하늘에 쌓아 둔 소망에서 솟아나는 믿음과 사랑임이라. 너희에게 이른 복음을 너희가 듣고 하나님의 은혜를 깨달은 날부터 이미 너희들 가운데서 자라며 열매를 맺음과 같이 온 천하에서도 그러함이라. 우리를 위하여 그리스도의 신실한 일꾼과 종이며 우리가 사랑하는 동역자 에바브라에게 너희가 배웠으니, 그는 성령 안에서 너희 사랑을 우리에게 전한 사람이라(1:3-8)” 하였듯, 성령을 따라 순종하며 신실하게 섬기는 복음 사역자에게 배우고 믿어야 올바른 믿음이 됩니다.

Anyone who learns and believes from a gospel minister who obeys the Holy Spirit and serves faithfully has the right faith, as “We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you. Because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people, the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel, that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world, just as it has been doing among you since the3 day you heard it and truly understand God’s grace. You learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf, and who also told us of your love in the Spirit. (1:3-8)”

왜냐하면, “우리가 너희 소식을 듣던 날부터 너희를 위하여 하나님의 뜻을 아는 신령한 모든 지혜와 총명으로 너희에게 채우시기를 끊임없이 기도하노라. 우리가 그렇게 기도하는 것은 너희가 하나님을 아는 지식이 자라고 모든 선한 일에 열매를 맺으며 주께 합당하게 행하여 범사에 기쁘시게 하고, 그의 영광스러운 힘과 능력으로 너희를 강건하게 하사 큰 기쁨으로 오래 참고 견디게 하시며, 우리들이 빛의 나라에서 성도의 기업을 얻기에 합당하게 하신 아버지께 감사하게 하시기를 원함이라. 그가 우리를 어둠의 권세에서 건져내어 그가 사랑하는 아들의 나라로 옮기셨으니, 그의 아들 안에서 우리가 구속 곧 죄 사함을 얻었음이라(1:9-14)” 하였듯, 성령의 진리를 따라 지키며 순종하는 사랑으로 믿음과 생명의 열매를 맺기 때문입니다.

Because, we follow the truth of the Holy Spirit and bear the fruit of faith and life through obedient love, as “For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. (1:9-14)”

그래서 “그는 모든 피조물보다 먼저 나신 이로서 보이지 않는 하나님의 형상이시라. 만물이 그로 말미암아 창조되었으니 하늘과 땅에서 보이는 것들과 보이지 않는 것들과 왕권들이나 주권들이나 통치자들이나 권세들이나 만물이 다 그로 말미암았고, 그가 만물보다 먼저 계시고 만물이 그의 안에 있음이라. 그는 그의 몸인 교회의 머리이시고 죽음에서 먼저 부활하신 이시니 그가 만물의 으뜸이 되려 하심이라. 하나님께서 그리스도 안에 모든 충만으로 거하시기를 기뻐하셨으니, 그가 십자가에서 흘리신 피로 화평을 이루시므로 땅이나 하늘에 있는 모든 만물들이 그리스도로 말미암아 자기와 화해하게 하려 하심이라(1:15-20)” 하였듯, 전능하신 하나님 예수께서 십자가에 죽기까지 순종하는 믿음의 본을 보이셨고 부활로 증거하셨습니다.

So, Almighty God the Jesus Christ showed an example of faith by being obedient to death on the cross and proved it through his resurrection, as “The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities, all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church, he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. (1:15-20)”

왜냐하면 “전에 악한 마음과 행실로 하나님을 멀리 떠나 원수가 되었던 너희를, 이제는 육신으로 죽으신 그리스도로 화목하게 하시고 너희를 거룩하고 흠 없고 책망할 것이 없는 자로 그의 앞에 세우셨으니, 만일 너희가 들은 복음의 소망에서 흔들리지 아니하고 믿음 위에 굳게 서면 구원을 얻으리라. 이는 너희가 들은 복음이고 천하 만민에게 전파되었으며 나 바울은 이 복음의 일꾼이라. 이제 나는 너희를 위하여 받은 고난을 기뻐하고 그리스도의 몸 된 교회를 위하여 그의 남은 고난을 내 육체에 채우노라(1:21-24)” 하였듯, 아무도 스스로 이루지 못하고 순종하는 마음에 동행하는 임마누엘 은혜로 믿음과 구원이 이루어지기 때문입니다.

Because, no one can achieve the worthy faith to salvation in Christ by oneself, but through the grace of Emmanuel God only, which comes to the obedient heart, as “Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation, if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant. Now I rejoice in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church (1:21-24)”

그래서 “나는 하나님의 말씀을 너희에게 온전히 전하라고 하나님이 나에게 맡기신 사명을 따라 그의 종이 되었음이라. 여러 세대와 시대에는 감춰졌던 신비를 이제는 성도들에게 나타내셨음이라. 하나님께서 그 영광스럽고 풍성한 신비를 그가 선택한 이방인들에게 알리셨으니 이 비밀은 너희 안에 계신 영광의 소망 그리스도시라. 우리가 모든 사람에게 그를 모든 지혜로 전하며 가르치고 권면하여 그리스도 안에서 완전한 사람으로 세우려 함이라. 이를 위하여 내 안에서 강력하게 역사하시는 이의 능력을 따라 수고하며 애쓸 뿐이라(1:25-29)” 하였듯, 그리스도를 보고 듣고 배운 사도들도 성령의 비밀 임마누엘 은혜와 능력을 신실하게 가르쳤습니다.

So, the apostles, who saw, heard, and learned about Christ Jesus directly, faithfully taught the secret of the Holy Spirit, the grace and power of Emmanuel, as “I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness, the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me. (1:25-29)”

그런 복음의 진리를 올바로 알아야만, “내가 너희와 라오디게아에 있는 모든 사람들과 나를 직접 만나지 못한 사람들을 위하여 얼마나 힘쓰는지 너희가 알기 원하노라. 그들이 마음에 격려를 받고 사랑으로 연합하여 그리스도의 이름이 가진 하나님의 신비를 풍성하고 완전하게 깨닫고 이해하게 하려 함이라. 지혜와 지식의 모든 보화가 그분 안에 숨겨져 있음이라. 내가 이것을 말함은 아무도 듣기 좋은 말로 너희를 속이지 못하게 하려 함이라. 내가 몸으로는 떠나 있으나 영으로는 너희와 함께 있으며 너희가 그리스도 예수 안에 얼마나 굳건한 믿음으로 질서를 지키는지 기뻐하며 보고 있음이라(2:1-5)” 하였듯, 임마누엘 하나님 성령을 바라보며 순종할 수 있기 때문입니다.

Because, only by correctly understanding the truth of the gospel can we look upon the Holy Spirit the Emmanuel God and obey Him, as “I want you to know how hard I am contending for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not met me personally. My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments. For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how di9sciplined you are and how firm your faith in Christ is. (2:1-5)”

그러므로 “너희가 주님으로 영접한 그리스도 예수 안에서 행하라. 그분 안에 뿌리를 내리고 가르침을 받은 대로 굳건한 믿음으로 세워지며 감사가 넘치게 하라. 누구든지 세상의 초등학문과 전통에 따른 철학과 헛된 속임수로 너희를 사로잡지 못하게 하라 그것은 그리스도를 따르는 것이 아님이라. 그리스도의 육체에 하나님의 신성이 충만하게 살아 계시므로, 모든 통치와 권세의 머리가 되시는 그리스도 안에서 너희도 충만하게 되었음이라. 그리스도 안에서 너희가 죄의 본성을 벗어버리는 할례를 받았으니 사람의 손으로 행하는 할례가 아니고 그리스도께서 행하신 할례라(2:6-11)” 하였듯, 우리 모두 성령을 따라 배우고 믿고 순종해야 임마누엘 은혜로 마음에 할례를 받아 육신의 욕망과 열정을 정복하고 다스리며 거듭납니다.

Therefore, we must all learn, believe and obey the Holy Spirit, then, we will be circumcised in our hearts, conquer and rule over the desires and passions of the flesh and be reborn, as “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthen in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self, ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ. (2:6-11)”

그래서 “너희가 세례로 그리스도와 함께 장사되었고 죽은 자 가운데서 그를 살리신 하나님의 역사를 믿으므로 그와 함께 살리심을 받았음이라. 육체의 무할례와 죄악으로 죽었던 너희를 하나님이 그리스도와 함께 살리셨고 모든 죄를 사하시며, 우리를 반대하고 대적하는 법조문이 기록된 증서를 그리스도의 십자가에 못 박아 제거하셨고, 능력과 권세를 십자가로 이기고 무장해제하여 세상에 나타내셨으므로, 먹거나 마시거나 절기나 초하루나 안식일을 지키는 것으로 아무도 너희를 비판하지 못하게 하라. 그것들은 장차 오실 그리스도 안에 숨겨진 그림자임이라(2:12-17)” 가르칩니다.

That’s why the Scripture of today teaches it to us, as “Having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us, he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Therefore, do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come, the reality, however, is found in Christ. (2:12-17)”

그러므로 “거짓된 겸손과 천사 숭배를 기뻐하는 자들이 너희의 상을 빼앗지 못하게 하라 그들은 본 것에 의지하며 육신의 생각을 따라 헛되이 과장하므로, 온 몸이 힘줄과 근육으로 연결되고 지탱하며 자라게 하시는 하나님과 머리에서 분리된 자들임이라. 너희가 세상의 초등학문에 대하여 그리스도와 함께 죽었는데 어찌하여 세상 사람들처럼 규율에 복종하느냐, 만지지 말고 붙잡지 말고 맛보지도 말라. 그런 것은 사람의 명령과 가르침이므로 쓰는 대로 죽음이라. 그런 규정은 자의적 숭배와 거짓된 겸손과 몸을 학대하는데 지혜롭게 보이나 육체의 탐욕은 억제하지 못하느니라(2:18-23)” 하였듯, 누구든지 편향되고 거짓된 사람의 말이나 교훈에 속지 말고 성령의 진리에 자신을 맡기고 죽기까지 순종해야 합니다. 여러분 모두 그처럼 올바른 믿음으로 구원 얻기를 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 간절히 기도합니다. 아멘.

Therefore, no one should be deceived by the words or teachings of biased and false people, but should entrust ourselves to the truth of the Holy Spirit and obey it until death, as “Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen, they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind. They have lost connection with the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow. Since you died with Christ to the elemental spiritual forces of this world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules. Do not handle. Do not taste. Do not touch. These rules, which have to do with things that are all destined to perish with use, are based on merely human commands and teachings. Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence. (2:18-23)” I pray and earnestly bless you all in the name of Jesus Christ, that you may all be saved by such righteous faith in Christ Jesus. Amen.
