비를 내리게 하라

Make it Rain

Isa 5:1-7

Main v. 6

“망그러진 채 그대로 내버려두리라. 순을 치지도 아니하고 김을 매지도 않아 가시덤불과 엉겅퀴가 덮이게 하리라. 구름에게 비를 내리지 말라고 명하리라.”

“I will make it a wasteland, neither pruned nor cultivated, and briers and thorns will grow there. I will command the clouds not to rain on it.”

사람의 힘으로 할 수 없는 것들이 많으나, 그 중 하나가 비를 내리게 하는 것입니다.

There are many things that humans cannot do, but one of them is to make it rain.

오랜 동안 비가 오지 않을 때 옛날 사람들은 다음과 같이 말했습니다. “하늘이 비를 내려 주셔야지”

When it did not rain for a long time, the old people said: “The sky should make it rain”

그렇습니다. 비의 특권은 하늘입니다. 오늘 본문에서 “내가 구름애게 명하여 비를 내리지 못하게 하리라”말씀 하시듯, 비의 특권은 오직 하나님이심을 알 수 있습니다.

That's right. The privilege of rain is heaven. As it is said in today's text, “I will command the clouds not to rain on it.” we can see that the privilege of rain is only God.

1. 그렇다면 왜 하나님께서 비를 내리는 것을 막습니까?

1. Then why does God stop raining?

2, 7절에 보시면,

-. 자기 백성들이 들포도나 맺고, 정의대신 유혈을, 공의대신 아우성이나 치는 인간밖에 안 되었었기 때문이라고 기록되어 있습니다.

In verses 2 and 7,

-. It is written that it is because his people were but groaning men, who planted wild grapes, shed blood instead of justice, and clamored for righteousness .

즉, 하나님 사랑에 대한 배신자가 된 것입니다.

In other words, they became a traitor to God's love.

이는 하나님의 말씀에 순종도 없습니다. 하나님의 말씀이 마음의 깊숙이 적용되지도 않는 상태입니다.

This is not obedience to God's Word. It is a state in which the word of God is not applied to the depths of the heart.

기도하지만 형식적으로 합니다. 입술과 마음이 일치하지 않습니다.

Pray, but formally. Lips and hearts do not match.

-. 또한 타락한 자들이 스스로의 회복을 위해 힘쓰지 않기 때문입니다.

-. It is also because the fallen do not strive for their own recovery.

회개한 영혼들은 회개 후에 자기 회복에 힘써야 합니다. 영성 회복 후에는 비가 내리게 되어 있습니다.

Repentant souls must strive for self-recovery after repentance. After spiritual recovery, it is supposed to rain.

왜냐하면 비를 내리게 하는 열쇠를 하나님이 가지고 있기 때문입니다.

Because God has the key to make it rain.

하나님께서는 언제 비를 막는지 아십니까?

Do you know when God stops the rain?

-. 겉으로 치러지는 우리의 의식과 위로부터 내리는 은혜 사이의 연결이 잘 이루어지지 않을 때입니다.

-. It is a time when the connection between our outward ceremonies and the grace from above is not well established.

이럴 때 구름은 보이나 빗방울은 소유할 수 없습니다.

In this case, we can see the clouds but not the raindrops.

2. 비가 내리지 않을 때 나타나는 현상

2. Phenomenon when there is no rain

본문은 이렇개 말합니다. 내가 포도밭에 무슨 일을 할 것인가를 너희에게 알리리라. 울타리를 걷어 짐승들에게 뜯기게 하고 담을 허물어 마구 짓밟히게 하리라.

The text says:

Now I will tell you what I am going to do to my vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it will be destroyed; I will break down its wall, and it will be trampled(v.5).

6절 내용입니다. 망그러진 채 그대로 내버려두리라. 순을 치지도 아니하고 김을 매지도 않아 가시덤불과 엉겅퀴가 덮이게 하리라. 구름에게 비를 내리지 말라고 명하리라.

This is verse 6.

I will make it a wasteland, neither pruned nor cultivated, and briers and thorns will grow there. I will command the clouds not to rain on it."

이렇게 되면, 우리 삶의 비극이 일어납니다.

When this happens, the tragedy of our lives occurs.

그렇다면 빗방울이 떨어지게 하기 위해서는

비를 부르는 사람이 필요합니다.

Then in order for the raindrops to fall

we need someone to call the rain.

3. 그렇다면 누가 비를 부를 수 있을까요?

3. So, who can call the rain?

-. 비가 끊어진 것은 주님이 막아 놓으셨기 때문이라는 것을 아는 사람입니다.

-. Those who know that the rain stopped because the Lord stopped it.

하늘로 오는 공급들이 그쳤을 때 곰곰이 생각해 보십시다! 어딘가에 막혀 있는 부분이 있습니다. 그것을 찾아내어 뚫어야 합니다.

Let's ponder when the heavenly supplies have ceased! There is a blockage somewhere. You have to find it and drill it.

우리의 기도는 막힌 부분을 뚫는 기구입니다.

Our prayers are tools for clearing blockages.

이 진술은 사실입니다. 많은 기도의 위대한 종들이 간증하고 있는 부분입니다.

This statement is true. This is the testimony of many great servants of prayer.

기도는 우리와 주님의 마음이 맞닿는 지점입니다. 그러기에 기도는 주님의 마음을 움직여 그분의 능력을 이 땅으로 가져오게 하는 힘입니다.

Prayer is the point where our hearts and the Lord's heart meet. That is why prayer is the power to move the heart of the Lord and bring His power to this earth.

날마다 주님께 신앙을 고백하면서 우리의 삶을 말씀 위에 놓을 때 주께서 비를 막는 구름들을 없애 주십니다. 구름만 제거 되면 반드시 비는 내립니다.

As we confess our faith to the Lord every day and put our lives on the Word, the Lord removes the clouds that block the rain. If the clouds are removed, it will surely rain.

-. 비를 의지하는 사람입니다.

-. A person who depends on the rain.

비가 와야 씨와 열매가 성장합니다. 하늘로부터 은혜 비가 내려야 우리의 영이 성장합니다.

Seeds and fruits grow only when it rains.

When grace rains from heaven, our spirits grow.

영적으로 사는 길은 하늘로부터 오는 비를 맞을 때입니다. 비를 의지하는 사람에게 비는 내려지게 되어 있습니다.

The way to live spiritually is when we are met with rain from heaven. Rain is meant to fall on those who depend on it.

-. 비가 내릴 때까지 구하는 사람입니다.

-. He is the one who asks for it until it rains.

구약의 엘리야라는 사람은 하늘에서 비가 올 때까지 기도했습니다. 엘리야가 한참을 기도하다 보니 사람의 손만한 작은 구름이 보이기 시작했습니다.

A man named Elijah in the Old Testament prayed until it rained from heaven. As Elijah prayed for a long time, a cloud as small as a man’s hand began to appear.

그는 역시 믿음의 사람이었습니다.

엘리야는 그 구름의 조각에서 큰 비를 보았습니다(1Kings 18:44).

He was also a man of faith.

Elijah saw a great rain on the piece of the cloud(1Kings 18:44).

엘리야는 갈멜산 꼭대기에서 바다로부터 작은 구름이 떠오르기까지 기다리고 있었습니다. 이같이 우리도 기다려야 합니다.

At the top of Mount Carmel, Elijah was waiting for a small cloud to rise from the sea. In the same way, we must wait.

주님께 구하면 비는 언젠가는 오게 되어 있습니다. 생수의 근원이 예수 그리스도이시기 때문입니다.

If we ask the Lord, the rain will come someday. Because the source of living water is Jesus Christ.

예수 그리스도는 우리의 영과 육의 기갈과 가뭄을 해소 시킬 수 있는 유일한 분이십니다. 그 분은 모든 비의 근원이십니다. 비가 올 때 그 분도 함께 내려오십니다.

Jesus Christ is the only One who can relieve the thirst and drought of our spirit and body. He is the source of all rain. When it rains, he also comes down.

그 분이 오시면 우리 인생의 모든 고갈은 해결됩니다.

When He comes, all the depletion in our lives will be resolved.

비를 막는 분도 주님이시지만 비를 내리시는 분도 역시 주님이십니다.

“내가 비를 지면에 내리리라(왕상 18:1)”

It is the Lord who blocks the rain, but it is also the Lord who makes the rain.

“I will send rain on the land(1Kings 18:1)”

그분이 우리게 필요한 비를 늘 적절히 내려 주시도록 그분을 바라봅시다. 진정한 비의 근원은 바로 주님이십니다.

Let's look at Him to always give us the rain we need. The true source of rain is the Lord.

그리고 우리 역시 비를 내리게 하는 사람이 됩시다.

And let us also be rainers.
