신명기12장 말씀입니다.

1. {주} 네 조상들의 [하나님]께서 네게 주사 소유하게 하시는 땅에서 너희가 땅 위에 사는 모든 날 동안 지켜 행할

    법규와 법도가 이러하니라.

These [are] the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.

2. 너희가 소유할 민족들이 자기 신들을 섬기던 곳은 높은 산 위든지 작은 산 위든지 푸른 나무 아래든지 그 모든 곳을

    너희가 진멸하고

Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree: 

3. 그들의 제단들을 헐며 기둥들을 깨뜨리고 작은 숲들을 불로 태우며 또 그들의 신들을 새긴 형상들을 찍어 넘어뜨려

    그들의 이름들을 그곳에서 멸하라.

And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place. 

4. {주} 너희 [하나님]께는 너희가 그와 같이 행하지 말고

Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.

5. 오직 {주} 너희 [하나님]께서 자신의 이름을 두시려고 너희 모든 지파 중에서 택하실 곳 즉 그분께서 거하시는 곳을

    찾아서 거기로 나아가

But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, [even] unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:

6. 너희의 번제 헌물과 너희의 희생물과 너희의 십일조와 너희 손의 거제 헌물과 너희의 서원 헌물과 너희의 자원

    헌물과 너희 소 떼와 양과 염소 떼의 처음 낳은 것들을 거기로 가져가고

And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:

7. 거기서 {주} 너희 [하나님] 앞에서 먹고 너희 곧 너희와 너희 집안이 너희 손으로 행한 모든 일 즉 {주} 네

    [하나님]께서 네게 복을 주신 모든 것으로 인하여 기뻐할지니라.

And there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.

8. 또한 너희는 우리가 이 날 여기에서 행하는 모든 것 즉 무엇이든지 각 사람이 자기 눈에 옳은 대로 행하는 것을

    본받아 행하지 말지니라.

Ye shall not do after all [the things] that we do here this day, every man whatsoever [is] right in his own eyes.

9. {주} 너희 [하나님]께서 너희에게 주시는 안식과 상속 재산에 너희가 아직 이르지 못하였거니와

For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you.

10. 너희가 요르단을 건너가 {주} 너희 [하나님]께서 너희에게 상속 재산으로 주시는 땅에 거하게 될 때 곧 그분께서

      너희 사방의 모든 원수로부터 너희에게 안식을 주사 너희가 안전히 거하게 될 때에

But [when] ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and [when] he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;

11. {주} 너희 [하나님]께서 자신의 이름을 두시려고 한 곳을 택하시리니 너희는 내가 너희에게 명령하는 것을 다

      가지고 거기로 가되 곧 너희의 번제 헌물과 너희의 희생물과 너희의 십일조와 너희 손의 거제 헌물과 너희가 {주}께

      서원하는 최상의 서원 헌물을 다 가지고 가서

Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD: 

12. 너희와 너희 아들딸들과 남종과 여종과 함께 {주} 너희 [하나님] 앞에서 기뻐할 것이요, 너희 성문 안에 거하는

      레위 사람과도 그리할지니 레위 사람은 너희와 함께 나누는 몫이나 상속 재산이 없느니라.

And ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that [is] within your gates; forasmuch as he hath no part nor inheritance with you.

13. 너는 스스로 조심하여 네가 보는 모든 곳에서 번제 헌물을 드리지 말고

Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place that thou seest:

14. 오직 {주}께서 네 지파들 중 한 지파 안에 택하실 곳에서 거기서 번제 헌물을 드리며 또 내가 네게 명령하는 모든

      것을 거기서 행할지니라.

But in the place which the LORD shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.

15. 그럼에도 불구하고 {주} 네 [하나님]께서 네게 주신 복에 따라 네 혼이 무엇을 원하든지 네가 네 모든 성문 안에서

      그것을 잡아 고기를 먹을 수 있나니 정결한 자든 부정한 자든 수노루와 수사슴을 먹듯이 그것을 먹으려니와

Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart.

16. 오직 너희는 그 피를 먹지 말고 그것을 물같이 땅에 쏟을지니라.

Only ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water.

17. 너는 네 곡식과 포도즙과 기름의 십일조와 네 소 떼와 양과 염소 떼의 처음 낳은 것과 네가 서원하는 서원 헌물과

      네 자원 헌물과 네 손의 거제 헌물을 네 성문 안에서 먹지 말고

Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, or the firstlings of thy herds or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy freewill offerings, or heave offering of thine hand:

18. 오직 {주} 네 [하나님]께서 택하실 곳에서 {주} 네 [하나님] 앞에서 반드시 먹되 네 아들딸과 남종과 여종과 네 성문

      안에 거하는 레위 사람과 함께 그것을 먹고 또 네 손으로 행한 모든 일로 인하여 {주} 네 [하나님] 앞에서 기뻐하되

But thou must eat them before the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that [is] within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before the LORD thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto.

19. 스스로 조심하여 네가 땅에 사는 동안 레위 사람을 저버리지 말지니라.

Take heed to thyself that thou forsake not the Levite as long as thou livest upon the earth. 

20. {주} 네 [하나님]께서 네게 약속하신 대로 네 지경을 넓히신 뒤에 네 혼이 고기를 먹고자 하므로 네가 이르기를,

      내가 고기를 먹으리라, 하면 네 혼이 무엇을 원하든지 네가 고기를 먹어도 되리라.

When the LORD thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.

21. 만일 {주} 네 [하나님]께서 자신의 이름을 두시려고 택하신 곳이 네게서 너무 멀거든 내가 네게 명령한 대로 너는

      {주}께서 네게 주신 소 떼와 양과 염소 떼에서 잡아 네 혼이 무엇을 원하든지 네 성문 안에서 먹되

If the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to put his name there be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which the LORD hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.

22. 수노루와 수사슴을 먹듯이 그것들을 먹으며 정결한 자든 부정한 자든 다 그것들을 먹으려니와

Even as the roebuck and the hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat them: the unclean and the clean shall eat [of] them alike.

23. 오직 확실하게 너는 그 피를 먹지 말라. 피는 생명이니 네가 생명을 고기와 함께 먹지 못하리라.

Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood [is] the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh. 

24. 너는 피를 먹지 말고 그것을 물같이 땅에 쏟을지니라.

Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water.

25. 너는 피를 먹지 말라. 이로써 네가 {주}의 눈앞에서 올바른 것을 행하면 너와 네 뒤를 이을 네 자손들이 잘되리라.

Thou shalt not eat it; that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do [that which is] right in the sight of the LORD.

26. 오직 너는 네게 있는 거룩한 것들과 네 서원 헌물을 {주}께서 택하실 곳으로 가지고 가라.

Only thy holy things which thou hast, and thy vows, thou shalt take, and go unto the place which the LORD shall choose:

27. 너는 번제 헌물 곧 그 고기와 피를 {주} 네 [하나님]의 제단 위에 드릴 것이요, 네 희생물의 피는 {주} 네 [하나님]의

      제단 위에 붓고 그 고기는 먹을지니라.

And thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of the LORD thy God: and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the LORD thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh.

28. 내가 네게 명령하는 이 모든 말을 듣고 지키라. 이로써 네가 {주} 네 [하나님]의 눈앞에서 선하고 올바른 것을

      행하면 너와 네 뒤를 이을 네 자손들이 영원토록 잘되리라.

Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest [that which is] good and right in the sight of the LORD thy God.

29. 네가 가서 소유할 민족들을 {주} 네 [하나님]께서 네 앞에서 끊어 버리시므로 네가 그들의 뒤를 이어 그들의 땅에

      거할 때에

When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land; 

30. 너는 스스로 조심하여 그들이 네 앞에서 멸망한 뒤에 그들을 따라감으로 올무에 걸려들지 말고 또 그들의 신들을

      따르며 물어 이르기를, 이 민족들은 자기 신들을 어떻게 섬겼는가? 나도 그와 같이 하리라, 하지 말라.

Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. 

31. 너는 {주} 네 [하나님]께 그와 같이 행하지 말라. 그들은 {주}께서 미워하시는 일 곧 그분께 가증한 모든 것을 자기

      신들에게 행하되 심지어 자기 아들딸들을 불에 태워 자기 신들에게 드렸느니라.

Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods. 

32. 내가 너희에게 명령하는 모든 말을 지켜 행하고 너는 거기에 더하거나 거기에서 빼지 말지니라.

What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
