CSSI, an engineering and technical services company, reports that nearly 90 percent of all flights that normally fly above 29,000 feet in domestic U. S. airspace are expected to meet requirements for implementing new domestic reduced vertical separation minimum rules that take affect in late January 2005. Based on current fuel prices, implementation of this requirement could result in cost savings of $100 million or more in 2005 alone, the company said. Mid-Continent Instrument has added accessory class ratings to its list of FAA certifications. The new Accessory Class 3 rating authorizes the Wichita location of the company to work on various electronic accessories without having to wait for FAA approval. www.mcico.com

Messier Services France has signed a subcontracting agreement with SR Technics Switzerland for its A320 family landing gear MRO activities, and Messier Services Asia has signed landing gear MRO contracts with Malaysia Airlines and Thai Airways. www.messierservices.com
MyTravel, a British charter airline, has entered a contract with Airframe Related Services (ARC), a business unit of Lufthansa Technik. GE has won an order from Continental Airlines to provide 35 Performance Improvement Program (PIP) upgrade kits for the GE90-90B engines on the airline's Boeing 777 fleet. The PIP kit adds 3D aerodynamic components in the high-pressure compressor and new sealing, clearance, and turbine technology. www.ge.com
TIMCO Aviation Services announced that its subsidiary, Brice Manufacturing, will provide interior reconfigurations for Iberworld Airlines's new Airbus A330-200 seating. Brice has also completed the installation of its convertible seat product on Luxair's new Boeing 737-700, plus Brice was contracted to deliver convertible seats to Boeing for line installation on 15 new Air Europa B737-800s. Forecast International released a study in July projecting business jet production recovery beginning now. The study projects that a total of 10,809 business jets will be produced between 2004 and 2013 and estimates the value of these aircraft at approximately $135 billion (constant 2004 U.S. dollars). Data for first quarter 2004 indicate that business jet production is up nearly 14 percent compared to the same period in 2003. www.forecast1.com
A World War II Boeing Stearman E75 captured the Rolls-Royce Aviation Heritage Trophy at the National Aviation Heritage Invitational held in conjunction with the Dayton Air Show. The aircraft was deemed the most historically accurate of the 10 vintage aircraft participating. www.heritagetrophy.com

L-3 Communications announced that it has teamed with Raytheon Aircraft Company in a five-year material supply support agreement for aftermarket support of the Raytheon T-6A Texan II primary training aircraft. L-3's Vertex Aerospace division, based in Madison, Mississippi, will be the exclusive material/supply provider for the T-6A. www.l-3com.com

Rockwell Collins and Warner Robins Air Logistics Center have entered into a 10-year strategic contract to enhance the availability of Rockwell Collins resources and improve technical and logistics support. Goodrich has been selected by Sikorsky to provide the Integrated Vehicle Health Management System for the U.S. Army's UH-60M Black Hawk program. This system monitors the aircraft's engines, transmission, and rotors to detect developing problems.
