디모데후서 2:1~13

[예림사랑]

1. 강함과 위임

세상의 강함은 자신이라는 돌맹이위에 뭉쳐진 눈덩이와도 같습니다. 강하게 보이지만 그 속에는 자아로 뭉쳐진 어리석은 모습입니다. 예수안에 있는 강함은 자신의 것이 아니라 하늘에서부터 주어진 능력입니다. 이것은 세상이 무너뜨릴수 없는 신적 보호아래 있습니다. 그리고 이 은혜속에서 우리는 안전함을 발견합니다.

들은 바를 부탁하는 것은 배가의 원리와 함께 폭발력을 가집니다. 복음에는 강한 폭발력을 지니고 있습니다. 창고에 있을 때는 쇠뭉치에 불과하지만 적진에 떨어지면 견고한 진을 파하는 강력한 힘이 됩니다.

2. 병사와 승리자와 농부

바울은 자신의 말을 생각해 보라고 권하며 범사에 총명(Insight)을 주실 것이라고 합니다. 병사의 비유는 삶의 목표를 보여줍니다. 모집한 자를 기쁘게 하려고 세상의 것들을 무가치하게 여기고 오직 그의 뜻만을 따릅니다. 그 분의 뜻을 따르는 자는 법대로 경기하는 선수와 같습니다. 선수가 법대로 경기하듯 믿는 자는 성령의 법을 따라 살아갑니다.

이것은 의식적인 추구이면서도 자연스런 일입니다. 성령께 저항하는 자아의 흐름을 거스르고 그 분께 달려가는 충성스런 열망을 보이는 자는 승리자의 면류관을 얻을 것입니다. 곡식은 말씀과 영혼을 의미합니다. 내 안의 생명이 말씀을 양분으로 삼아 건강한 성장을 할 때 내 영혼은 주님의 것이 되며 주님은 내 영혼을 결실로 거두십니다.

3. 신실한 주의 사랑

바울은 비록 매인 몸이지만 창살을 넘어 일하시는 말씀의 능력을 바라봅니다. 그는 이미 주와 함께 죽었으며 그와 함께 살아 하늘의 영광을 소유하고 있습니다. 신실하신 주님은 항상 우리의 삶을 책임지시며 고난 당할 때나 연약할 때도 선하신 인도하심으로 돌보십니다. 그의 사랑안에 거함이 곧 구원이며 그와 함께 생사를 넘는 것은 영원한 행복입니다. 오늘도 신실하신 그의 손을 붙들고 영광의 문으로 인도하시는 전능하신 주님을 의지하며 걸어갑니다.





2 Timothy 2:1~13

1. Strength and Delegation

Worldly strength is like a snowball packed around a stone of self—seemingly solid, yet foolishly built upon ego. In contrast, the strength found in Christ is not self-made but divinely bestowed from heaven. It is safeguarded by a power the world cannot dismantle. Within this grace, we discover true security.

Entrusting what we’ve heard carries the principle of multiplication and unleashes explosive power. The gospel, though it may appear dormant like a lump of iron in storage, becomes a mighty force when released into enemy territory—breaking down strongholds with divine authority.

2. The Soldier, the Victor, and the Farmer

Paul urges us to reflect on his words, assuring that God will grant insight in all things. The soldier metaphor reveals life’s purpose: to please the one who enlisted him, he regards worldly distractions as worthless and follows only the will of his commander. Such devotion mirrors an athlete who competes by the rules—believers live by the law of the Spirit.

This pursuit is both intentional and natural. Those who resist the pull of self and run toward the Spirit with loyal passion will receive the victor’s crown. Grain symbolizes both the Word and the soul. When the life within us is nourished by the Word, our soul matures and becomes the Lord’s harvest—gathered in joy and purpose.

3. The Faithful Love of the Lord

Though Paul’s body is bound, he looks beyond the bars to the power of the Word that cannot be chained. He has died with Christ and now lives with Him, sharing in heavenly glory. The faithful Lord takes responsibility for our lives, guiding us with goodness through suffering and weakness. Dwelling in His love is salvation itself, and walking with Him through life and death is eternal joy.

Today, we hold the hand of our faithful Lord and walk forward—trusting the Almighty who leads us through the gates of glory.
